Bed Time

It was a school night and I had had some real rough times at school. I had just finished my dinner and went to have a bath to relax but just could not stop worrying about all my homework. As I went off to bed I felt as though someone was watching me get dressed, but being used to it I just took no notice of it.

I jumped into bed and stayed awake worrying. I heard my dad turn off all the lights and go to bed so I knew it was late.

As I finally got to sleep, I awoke to someone jumping on top of me as I was on the other side of the house I freaked out thinking if my mom and dad could hear me. I felt as though he was pulling my soul out of me through my stomach. I tried to scream but he had hold of the throat so it felt like he was holding my voicebox in his hand. I tried and tried to fight him off but he just wouldn't move until I tried to scream one more time and he vanished (I knew it was a man because I could feel big strong hands and I could also smell him).

I ran into my mom's room and told her what happened and she got two lovely ladies to bless the house. I never stayed in that room again.

I agree with MissMelanie04. 😁 I have experienced sleep paralysis many times, and know that everything that is happening can seem 100 % real, but it is just a dream-state. I think the stress you were under, caused it to happen. If it was your 1st experience it is understandable that you felt like you were being attacked.

Hi Hayley! I just thought I should comment on this one 'cause we have the same name:D but also because your story is incredible! I also commend your mom for believing you. I know way too many instances where the parents take no notice and their kid is being tortured and can't do anything about it. But I am glad you guys got the house blessed. Well, good luck hun! Have a good day. Happy new year btw:)

My roommate and boyfriend have both had experiences like this. I believe they suffer from sleep paralysis, or old hag syndrome. Basically as you fall asleep, the brain paralyzes the body so that you cannot physically act out your dreams. Sometimes the person wakes up, but not enough to regain control of their body yet and they can also "hallucinate" or still vaguely dream and this is where the sights, sounds and smells come in. It doesn't last long and many people feel strangled or smothered and completely terrified and paralyzed. It's commonly experienced during times of stress or sleep deprivation. Just something that could possibly be a cause, I'm not telling you that nothing paranormal happened however; it could just as easily have been a paranormal experience.

Hopefully you will not have this happen you you again because an experience like that can be traumatizing.

This was happened to me also before, it was like 1.30 in the morning, I was about to get my sleep when I heard footsteps from our stairs & coming to my room, he stopped infront of my bed, all I can see is a shadow of a man because I was covered by my blanket, I want to scream & run to my parents room but its like he's holding my whole body so that I can't move, he was just standing infront of me the whole time, when I finally moved my hands, he ran off the wall, it was scary, until now when I remember that experience I freak out...

im glad you blessed the house and I hope nothing like that ever happens to you again. That would seriosuly freak me out but then again I'm always freaked out at nighttime because I thought I once heard someone next to my bed like, breathing in and out heavily, scared the crap out of me but then again it could have been from the other room

Mustang made some very real points here. Emotions are energy just as entities are energy. It is quite possible that your ENERGY could have caused this. It does also sound like sleep paralysis. With this story being from a while ago, perhaps you won't answer, but there are some very good questions posted here. Also some odd ones 😊 Thanks for the story.

Hi Hayley! Have you ever experienced any kind of paranormal activity of this kind before or any paranormal activity at all before this night? I know it seemed very real to you and it very well could have been. I have a couple of of things I could relay to you concerning this experience. For one thing, I know that you had mentioned being pretty stressed over homework and I'm sure other things happening in your life. I'm thinking that it is possible that all of the stress created some kind of panic attack or something medical. On the other hand, you could have been dishing out so much energy and possibly negative, energy that it created this entity to manifest and attack you. You being under all of that stress was probably to much for you to handle and YOU created this thing that attacked. Not blaming you or anything like that!. Not at all am I blaming you! What I'm trying to say is that maybe your mind and soul needed a release and this is what happened. I'm really not sure. As for the smell and strength of a man. That is not so simple to explain. Could the attack on you, being a girl, make you think of a man attacking? You and you only, are the one who experienced this horrible attack of violence. I have had an experience with an entity. It felt as if it were trying to get in my body and I felt like I was dying and could hardly keep my eyes open during this attack, if that is what you want to call it. It didn't hurt but I really thought that whatever was making this happen to me, did not want to let go no matter how hard I fought. The fight seemed like an eternity but I did beat whatever it was and it went away never to come back. I would also like to add that I myself was under a bit of stress in my life at the time it happened. Seeing how this story was submitted a long time ago, I don't know if you will read this or if it has happened again. I hope not! By the way, my three year old daughter's name is 'Hayley' also! 😊 ~Shelby ❤

There are "soul snatchers" out there unforently. They find something in you that they want and try to take it from you. It's a good thing that they did not succeed.

Blessed Be Ye

It sounds like sleep paralysis to me. I'm no expert so it would be advisable to look it up on wikipedia or something, or in your library.

Also, I have mentioned this to another user, but, there is a book, non-fiction, and a very good one at that, called "Graves End". It is the story of a woman and her family dealing with what seemed to be aggressive spirits. They would wake up, feeling crushed, and suffocated. It turns out that the spirits were actually in pain, and were trying to convey that to the living, to simplify the story. The spirits needed help to pass on, so they could progress. Once they were helped, they passed on, and the suffocating/crushing ceased.

Michelle/Emily- How rude! Whether or not it is true, it is not for you to dictate, and even when giving your opinion, you should show some respect. Good Grief. Such childish behavior.

Hayley- If these events occur again, you should perhaps look further into things. Maybe do a history check on your home, to get you started.

Whats up Hayley, that sounds similar to something that happened to me. Have you ever heard of sleep paralysis? Someone tried telling me thats what happened to me but I'm not sure, it just seemed to real. The only difference in my experience was that if felt like someone was trying to get inside my body or something I dont know its hard to explain. I tried to scream for help but I couldnt talk. I tried to move but couldn't. No matter how you look at it, it's scary!

Hi Hayley, glad to see your mom was open-minded enough to take you seriously and try to find help. Sounds like a dreadful experience.
