My Parents Ghostly Experience

Just some information about where this story had happened. My parents were by the woods, water and old mansions. These mansions have had a lot of history, many different families and many of different owners. These mansions are about 100 years old so now they are abandoned and animals are probably living in them now.

In the cold winter of 1985 my parents were dating. They were both sitting in my father's car listening to the radio and talking. After a half an hour later both my mother and father saw something coming down the road. They both knew it wasn't a car or person walking down the dark road at night. The object came closer and started coming quicker, now you could make it out. It was a ghost! It was a white mist that was floating above the ground. You couldn't really make out the face but you could tell it was a woman dressed in old fashioned clothes.

My mother told my father to drive away fast but my father didn't want to drive away. After a minute they drove away, after that night they never saw the lady again.

When I first heard this story I was 8 or 9 years old and I didn't believe my parents, until they told me that my cousin and my father's friend saw the same ghostly lady!

erin19,
I like this story, and I agree with applerose that it is sort of funny when you think of their reactions. One wants to leave fast, the other wants to wait but ends up leaving very soon after. It also sounds like a good spot to go ghost hunting with friends. Who knows, you might just get another story out of that too. 😊

Love this story - I agree with peterspirit - that you may want to go and find out some history about the surrounding area - you never know what you may find out. I know that had to scare the crap out of your parents - but it is also funny - I could just see their faces - not really knowing what they were seeing - also the fact is that they both saw it - and that makes this sighting confirmed. Thank you for sharing your story sweetie. 😊

Hey erin19,

Much loved reading your story! Finding out about who this lady could be would indeed be of an interest I think. It reminds me of something that happened to my father. I mite share this here on the site one time...

Greetings,
Peter

That probably would have scared me to! And it sounds interesting to! Did they see anything else? Maybe something they saw but didn't think it was one. If not I bet there was some if the houses were that old.

Peace
❤ 😊 ❤

It would not be unusual for there to be some residual energy left behind at a place with this much herritage and life that was lived in the homes and on the lands. I am certain your parents were frightened by what they saw, though. I know I always am.

Thanks for sharing!

God Bless!
