Haunted Old Amish House In My Hometown

I've begun investigating an old Amish house in my hometown here in Kansas, and have made 4 videos thus far. There is an intro in the first video, and the fourth doesn't uncover anything, but the 2nd and 3rd try seemed to stir up some activity. I'll continue to investigate this house, and continue to put my findings on youtube! Here is what

I grew up beside this house, and it's always creeped me out, especially at night. I've moved out, been married, had a couple kids, but the activity never really stopped. My family says they still see and hear strange things in and around the house.

Just recently they cleaned it up so a local Amish/Mennonite lady can stay there and work on her writing, or whatever she wants to do. I haven't warned her about the activity yet, but she hasn't officially moved into the place yet. I say moved, but she'll just be staying there when she wants some peace and quiet to write. There's no gas, running water, or electricity at all hooked up to the place, so that rules out electromagnets, clanging pipes, etc. Just a shell of a house that's well over 100 years old. It used to be habitable, and some Amish families have lived in it, just not in my lifetime (33 years).

Something must have happened in it, or to someone that lived in it, to make this activity occur, and I hope to find out what!

hey christine-our family owns the land and house:) it's an old amish house, and the amish have never been good about keeping records, so probably won't be able to find anything solid. Here are the next tapes!

You need to highlight the site right click and when it gives you options click on open new tab

[at] plunky I have to agree with Miracles. These videos do not impress me at all. Most of the time the camera is pointed at the ground or floor. The golf club falling is from the flooring being so old and dried out that any walking around would make it fall, The board in the ceiling sounded like the person with you did that. When you opened it and found the gun why was it so clean rather than dusty and rusty? The door closing by itself is suspect also because even if nobody was behind it could have been rigged with fishing line.

Sorry but you need more concrete evidence to convince me.

Also is there anyway you could find some historical records of this house and events that took place?

hey all! I'll try to address all your?'s lol...Crestal126: not sure why the links are links on the site, but if you just copy and paste the links they'll work:) miracles: #4 should work if you copy and paste it, it just played for me. Not sure what happened for ya. The house was a disaster, just an old storage house for many years, so it was cleaned up before I started taping. It's still a mess, but at least now we can walk in it:) all the stuff i've caught on tape so far, I agree, isn't that substantial. Wind shutting the door (not another person back there, promise lol), uneven floors, anything can explain it all away. I'm not going to give up trying to catch something better on tape, though... Love the creepy stuff! Rozo-i'll be trying to get ahold of some equipment in the near future! Ryanrowe-i focused on the club just because it was kind of out of place, you know? Not a whole lot of stuff upstairs, but a golf club leaning up against the wall just seemed odd. I set my camera down and aimed it at the door because I wanted to check out the sliding board, see what it was hiding, and get it on film. The only thing I don't like about the video's, not saying that it's not real, but in video 2 you focused on the golf club for about 3 seconds, which gives the audience some sort of hint that something's going to happen to the golf club, then half a minute later it falls. Same with video 3. The camera just happened to be focused directly on the door that was going to close. Because of those two thing, in my opinion, I don't think it's real. Too coincidental and obvious.

Hi Plunky, I think I'm going to agree with Miracles on this one... The golf club looks as if it definitely fell because of the wood floors being old.

I do however think its fantastic that you are doing research for yourself and the community and would like to ask that you please carry on, the effort will surely pay off.

Suggestion, maybe try set up some evp equipment over night in the house and see what you come up with 😁

plunky - I watched your youtube videos and #4 doesn't work. Just thought you should know, even though you said it doesn't uncover anything.

I am inclined to think the golf club fell because you had walked near it. As old as the house is, and as rundown, I would believe the floors to be a little uneven, which would cause the golf club to become unbalanced and fall.

As for the door closing, looks to me like someone was behind the door and shut it. But it's just my opinion.

Also, I was wondering about something. You said it had been cleaned up. I take it you meant after you did the videos?

I think, before I said anything to anyone about it being haunted, I'd gather more evidence to substantiate that claim.
