Ghost Bugs?

This happened about two or three years ago.

When I move furniture in my room something odd tends to happen. Things will fall off my walls or desk and I have restless nights from things constantly making noises. I recently moved more furniture and things have been happening. That's another story though. I know for sure that things happen to me when I move furniture in my bedroom.

One day I had moved my bed (it was vertical to my bedroom door and I moved it so it was horizontal to the door). Anyway, I share a bedroom with my little sister and my bed was about a metre away from hers.

As I was falling asleep I heard a ticking sound, like a bug was crawling on something. It was abnormally loud for a bug though. Above my door I saw these HUGE, I mean absolutely HUGE bugs walking above the door. I asked my sister if she was seeing these bugs too and she was. We called out for my mother and as soon as she turned the light on they seemed to fade and disappear right in front of us. My sister and I didn't enter or sleep in our room for about a week after that. My mother said that she saw them years ago but nobody believed her, she never doubted that we saw them. (she didn't see them when we did)

I do not remember how many of them were in our room but I know there was more than one.

I tried to convince myself that they were cockroaches, but for them to be in a bunch that just faded and disappeared the way they did was weird. Has this happened to anybody else? Could somebody or something be mad when I move furniture?

Hopefully this makes sense, I'm on school holidays and my English goes pretty bad.

anyone recall the episode of how I met your mother--where Marshall & Lilly discovered the infamous "Cock-a -mouse"!:) sorry, not being glib or negative I just thought I'd try to inject a bit of silly humor to the party.:) Still to think of it... People saying cockroaches the size of a mouse--- and well,... My mind kind of went there.:)

I just read something that you may be interested in. Whether you want to believe it or not, there is a theory according to this site that everything we have ever seen that is mythical is an alien race. The reason why I decided to post this was because it seems many of these things are related to the stories about shape shifters, sour smells coming out of nowhere, paranormal bugs, fairies, gremlins, and many things we don't have knowledge about. Worth a glance at in my opinion. Exopolitics.blogs.com/files/russian.secret.alien.races.book.pdf

This story absolutely creeped me out. I have the worst fear of bugs. You handled it calmer than I would have. They would have to put me in a straight jacket!

Alllrighty... So we have something that manifested into bugs the size of a mouse and obviously they are dark because the lights out. Why not? We have recently read a story that had "rays" (that's manta rays ifihadyoux) circling a light shade on a ceiling.

One could wonder if the entity choose something that would scare the children? And it choose to represent the same to their mother as well. Validation?

Curious things for sure. I find most of them are regardless of how they look.

Rambling again. But my two cents worth. Maybe five.

I agree with the karma points being pointless. For a site that does not allow swear words, short forms and such was something I really respected from the beginning. When I first saw that I thought, ah...class. But then the point systems is just like "likes" on fb and stuff... All for ego boosts.

You should see the stories that don't make it that make us bash our heads πŸ˜† Some days there are dents in my desk, and my forehead πŸ˜‰

Oh man, forgot we were on someone's story. Grav3yardgirl, my apologies. Should have moved this conversation to one of our stories.

ifi - there are days I like the points. Especially when someone makes a completely asinine comment that doesn't get deleted and receives enough down points that it hides the comment LOL

Then that leads to all kinds of things, some of which make me laugh and others make me want to bash my head against my desk πŸ˜†

I personally like the points because if someone makes a stupid comment I down vote and if I agree with a comment instead of typing I agree and 38454938758934 different words to make the character count, I just up vote >__>

"I choose to look at it like someone has a different opinion than I do and then realize I'm right and they're wrong" - That pretty much left me in stitches. πŸ˜† I think that thought crosses my mind at least 7 times a day, not counting all the times it happens at work.

elnora - after awhile you'll stop noticing the points. Some of our members put too much emphasis on them and get upset about it. I choose to look at it like someone has a different opinion than I do and then realize I'm right and they're wrong πŸ˜† πŸ˜‰

My humor gets out of hand sometimes LOL

Personally, I wish this silly vote system had never been implemented. Seems to cause nothing but drama. It's just pixels on a screen, folks. Not worth caring about.

Case in point that I already have two downvotes on saying we should get along and asking the OP if she has experienced this since! We have had worse days:P

elnora - as much as I echo your sentiments to myself some days, there is no way we can all get along LOL We just get really lucky on the days when it's not obvious πŸ˜†

Wow, the down vote faeries are out today! I don't think notjustme and Sam deserved those down votes. Can't we all just get along?:P

Did you ever see them after this, by the way? How frequently did this occur? Is there any way that it could have been some sort of reflection/shadow from a window?

Maybe if you had turned the light on and called an exterminator things would have been better.

The first thing that popped in my head when reading your story was a movie called "My neighbor Totoro". It is Japanese animation film made in 87. In the movie 2 little girls move into a new town with their father and they start seeing these black poofy things that fade or disappear if you try to touch it. In the movie it is believed that only good kids get to see them. Besides that, I am absolutely of no help towards your account 😁, sorry. But interesting! And thanks for sharing!

Wow omg, that is weird! Thinking about that makes me think of getting bite by one, but getting bit by a phantom bug? I don't think that's possible but it could be. And in my mind I could just imagine a huge ghost bug in the dark the size of a cat, but you say "HUGE", and may ask how "HUGE" they were? Were they as big as a shoe, a cat, a microwave, or a trash can, etc. Also, what color were they?

Well see there you go, positive things! They could have just been a bug that can camouflage itself? Is it possible? Science side help?

They were about the size of a mouse. What really scared me was I thought I'd have to kill them in the end. I'm so grateful that they vanished. 😊 😊 😊

Well, this is creepy. Uhm.

Yeah, I have nothing for this.

This is nightmare fuel. I hate bugs. I hate them. I once had to track down the sound of rustling in the corner of a friend's house I was staying at and the source was a massive cockroach. As big as my thumb and I have piano hands (long fingers).

*shudders*

I can kind of relate, I was just telling a co-worker a similar story. I woke up at exactly 2:00 am to a sound like you described... But it sounded like... I dunno, the size of a big dog, and it was coming from the living room. I was wondering what the cats were into and I realized that they were sleeping on top of me... When I got out of bed to investigate, it stopped and nothing was there.

I wouldn't go saying they're cockroaches, those things give me the creeps haha. But on a serious note, this is the first I've encountered paranormal bugs. Very interesting. How big would you say they are? As big as the door?
