This happened just a few days ago when I was wandering around my garden. I was just in my own world really and wasn't paying much attention to reality when all of a heard a male voice call "Andrea" and her surname (which I've omitted for privacy reasons)

I snapped out of my daydream startled because I knew who this Andrea was (I don't actually know her personally though just know who she is because of her job and I think about her quite a bit) The voice didn't sound like it was someone yelling in the street but actually sounded like it was beside me but I was the only one in the garden. I just sort of shrugged it off like that was weird kind of thing and went inside.

Then I heard the voice say the same thing again in a slightly louder voice. I wasn't really scared, just confused as to why it was saying her name. I then said in the general direction of where the voice was coming from "What about her?" It then said the place where she works so I said "Yeah, she's (her job position) there" It then said "Facebook" Yes I know that sounds really weird but that's what it said "Facebook" It was quiet a after that and I thought well, I don't know what was up with that and just shrugged it off again.

I then went on the computer and logged into Facebook to see if I could find any clues and you know when you log into Facebook and the first thing it comes up with is your news feed? Well this time it didn't. It came up with Andrea's Facebook profile! I had never searched her up nor did I even know she had a Facebook. Now I was really freaked out. I asked out loud "Can you please show me what you want me to know about Andrea?" Next thing I know my computer mouse was moving on it's own accord with me watching utterly freaked out and went straight to a post about her father passing away clicking on the see more button. I read it and felt sad for her and her family. After I finished I said quietly "I never knew you, Andrea's father (the post didn't say his name) but I hope you rest in peace" After that I felt someone touch my shoulder and pat my hair but when I looked no-one was there.

What's your opinion YGS readers?. Do you think maybe it was her father? Please comment you opinions and any advice down below

I think she heard about you and talk about you to her Father before he passed and when he did he wanted y'all to know each other. Just a crazy idea

Hi Triskaideka, I mainly think of Andrea because I see her as someone I'd like to be like as she is in a job I want to be in and her personality and values in the workplace are really great. Pumpchick15, I glad you liked my story 😊

I like to think outside the box! So, her dad (if it WAS him) wanted not that, as in a goodbye, but probably wanted to tell you something about you and his daughter. Maybe a kind of relationship? Not romantic but any kind. Juts a guess 😁 That's all I got for now. I loved it though!

Wow, this is a really interesting experience. I definitely agree it was probably her father. But why he contacted you... Well, I guess we'll never know unless something happens in the future.

yes, I definitely think it was her father! Not sure why he would come to you, I guess maybe just to let you know. Maybe something involved with her will show up in the future...? Strange though... Very strange.

When I was a child, I read a series of novels about the ghosts of twins and their dog who solved mysteries. In one of the novels, they contacted a living child via his computer. The g key was broken, so after the kid realized they were two ghosts who were twins, they typed out "and a host do too". (Random comment, I know, but I always thought that was a really cute little exchange.) I always secretly wished a spirit would contact me via my computer.

Tawa, I hope you don't mind me being nosey, but why do you think about this Andrea so often? Is it because you see her as a role model, do you have a crush? I ask in part because, well, given how many stories on this site seem to go, it seems that spirits are drawn to the more sensitive people rather than their own families sometimes. Also, my instinct tells me that when you feel love for someone, that in itself forms a spiritual bond between you. Or perhaps that bond already existed, and that's why you feel what you feel. Personally, you can't really "see" a person without loving them. That statement will only make sense to those who've seen... But. Every soul is beautiful and impossible not to love if you actually know it. </ramblings>

Sidenote: My facebook opens up on my newsfeed. And as a matter of fact, it doesn't allow me to see my timeline at all unless I actually right-click my own name and open in a new tab. Probably my browser apps messing with the trackers.

Hi everyone, me again. I've got an apology to make to Elnoraemily. I didn't mean to be so stroppy to you in my other comment. At the time I was worked up over something and I shouldn't have commented at all because I wasn't thinking straight. I now see that everything you said in all your comments were all true and valid points and it was me who was wrong. Please forgive me Elnoraemily and know I have learned valuable lessons from this and it won't happen again. This apology also goes to anyone else I offended. Hopefully this will help put things right,

Hi believer12, In response to your questions, I don't believe we are in anyway related. I am pretty sure it was her father speaking to me the but reason I said I wasn't sure is because it could be another spirit letting me know of his death, I don't really know as I'm no expert in this field. As you advised I will be careful and look out for other signs

Even if you admire and think quite highly of Andrea, why would her father's sprit try to contact you to show the FB post of his death? Are you anyway related to her or him? It's very odd.

Secondly as you said you are not sure that it was actually her father, then who it could be you think? Someone who knew both of you maybe?

Spirits saying so many exact words and moving the mouse to the exact post is very unusual and you should be careful and look out for more signs

Hmmm...when I log into facebook the first thing that pops up is my timeline, news feed is on the next page. Not that, that matters. Weird it would be right on her profile page though.
In your story you make the assumption that it's her dad ("I never knew you, Andrea's father (the post didn't say his name) but I hope you rest in peace...") but I don't understand why he would go through all that to let you know he's passed. I mean, you didn't even know his name, and Andrea already knew he was gone. I really don't understand why he had to use this method at all, when he was speaking to you in the garden. Seems like it would have been simpler for him to just say it. But then, I don't claim to know why spirits do what they do, heck I don't even understand why living people do half the things they do.

Hi Tawa, your story is interesting, but yet I could not make it out who was that interacting with you about Andrea when you were no where related to her in any way as per your explanation. You have also admitted that you do not know her personally, so why did that spirit contacted you so desperately just to let you know about Andrea's Father's death. Its quite un understandable. And I agree with ladyglow about the situation you faced that, how could you have that much courage to see mouse moving on its own.

Since all the information we can work with is what you give us, including your belief that it's her father - as said in the story- assumptions are all you will receive as comments, as that is all anyone is capable of.

The belief that it's strange he would reach out to someone who barely knew his family is valid because it is, indeed, random.

Hi everybody, thanks for your comments. I appreciate you opinions and have to agree this is a very odd thing to happen.

I've just got something to say in resopnse to Elnoraemily's first comment. It was not said anywhere in the story that Andrea's father hadn't bothered to make contact with her or her family. I don't know that this is the case and neither do you. I'm sorry if this sound's grumpy but I just don't like it when people make assumptions like this.

Also keep in mind everybody that we don't know that this is actually her father.

I am not sure if the ghost picking someone that he did not know odd (because I think many ghosts don't really go around picking only people they know, especially ones that have been around for while), but the methods employed. If he had that much energy, it just seems odd that is how he would decided to spend it.

I think so Miracles, I do believe they don't always have the first pick as to who they can talk to. I saved a story that led me to believe this.

I would pray about it if I were you, and then make a decision about telling her about your experience or at least sending your condolences. Perhaps this is someone who will become important in your life or needs to hear this from you?

Shew - okay I'm probably not going to win any points for what I'm about to say, but I'm going to say it anyway. Keep in mind, though, this does not in any way express my opinion on this story.

I can't answer why spirits sometimes contact a living person they didn't know but from experience I can say they do. I've often wondered if it's because at certain times the person contacted is more open than others. Just one theory I have lol

In the terms that Lady-glow is thinking, it is strange that someone you don't know or even had on Facebook's father would turn to you to get your attention to show you he was dead. It is just very odd. Especially since he did not seem to care about contacting his daughter. One would think that he would go to her, his family or one of her closest friends to do so.

If the theories are correct, it would take quite a bit of energy for a ghost to go through that amount of trouble to get in contact, but not actually get into contact with anyone who knew him.

It seems to me that you were visited by a hacker ghost.
Personally I do not understand why Andrea's father's spirit would come to you if you are not close friends; another thing I do not understand is why you didn't run out of your room when the mouse began moving on its own.
