The Blonde Doll

So I have had many experiences but have never actually seen a ghost, I do believe in them though but I'm also afraid that one day I may see one. This experience of mine happened when I was 5 years old and my sister was 9 years old and we were living in our previous house. I may have been young but I remember this experience.

One day my parents went to a garage sale and bought 2 porcelain dolls, one blonde one in a green dress and one brunette in a pink dress. My parents bought these dolls for me and my sister, I owned the brunette and my sister owned the blonde doll. I loved my doll so I put it away so it wouldn't get damaged. My doll was perfectly harmless but the other doll was not innocent at all.

My sister put her doll on display in her room. When it was time for us to go to bed my sister turned her lights off and went to sleep, I was also asleep until I woke up in the middle of the night to her yelling out for my mother. My mother rushed into her room and asked what was wrong. I could hear what she said considering my room was right near hers. She said " there was a man in my room saying mean things", my sister was terrified at what happened, to this day she has not told us what it said. My mother comforted her and told her to tell it to go away if it comes back. These creepy experience of hers didn't stop there.

After this night my sister moved the doll into another room because of her experience the night before. It was another night and therefore we had to go to bed once again. I woke once again to my sister yelling out for my mother, my mother came rushing into her room again and so did I. We asked what was wrong. She said " The creepy man came back ". My mother comforted my sister. My sister then noticed the doll had returned to her room and was lying on the floor. So being the supernatural (tv show) trash we are, my mother put salt in my sisters room (probably a bad idea). In the daytime we packed the doll away and never touched it for a month after that.

Until 1 month later my brother said he saw a little girl in his room that night and asked if it was one of us but it wasn't. My brother was cleaning his room when he found the doll under his bed. We all freaked out because of my sisters experience with that doll. Again being the supernatural trash we were, he burnt the doll.

One month later we found her foot in our cabinet drawer which was super freaky because WE BURNT IT!. We threw the foot in the trash hoping that would be the last of it.

A year after we moved into our current house, we had been the the house for 2 years until one day we were sorting our junk and furniture out we found the shoe and a lock of her blonde hair from the doll, a gain WE BURNT IT!. We haven't found anymore from the doll since then.

No this wasn't fiction this was just creepy, I have more experiences and will share them soon.

This guy's video which "allegedly" holds a replica "Annabelle" doll is highly questionable--- He keeps referring to the "Annabelle" duplicate doll... The name is Raggedy Anne!" NOT Annabelle... And it is NOT even a replica of an original Anne doll. The hair and clothing wear is all wrong. The REAL Doll has actual "raggedy" yarn hanging strands which describes why she and "Andy" are referred to as raggedy. The original doll is actually very strongly safe-guarded in the Occult museum in the basement of the home of Mr. And Mrs. Ed and Lorraine Warren in Monroe, CT. Although, it MIGHT have possibly been transferred to the home of John Zaffis, since the passing of his uncle, Edward in 2006. --- stay safe and well. --slaem

Biblio and all,
Yes, it's disturbing and creepy. It was made in 1972, and I doubt it was ever very popular. I only knew one girl who had one. Still, I think I'm more disturbed that it was used in an attempt to fool people. Maybe, it's just me but 'proof' like this and photoshop are what makes any 'proof' of the paranormal rather doubtful in the eyes of the public.
Hard enough in this world, where we've barely arrived (at least in the USA) at the point of folks being ready to admit not everyone who sees/hears/talks etc. With spirits is crazy without this kind of 'proof'.

Val,
Between the:30 to the 1:04 marks, it appears that Mattel created the "Saucy mocks stroke victims doll." It's damn disturbing and rather upsetting in a "let's-manufacture-and-sell-this-abomination-because-the-middle-aged-men-in-the-sales-department-are-convinced-little-kids-will-love-this" way. This is really a godawful monstrosity of a toy.

Ugh...Valkricry...that's creepy!

Need words... Glad I never got one for my daughter; my son would had peeled off the doll's skin in order to investigate what makes it move.πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

Sorry, Bethany, that we've gotten away from your story, but it does happen. And, I do agree, quite creepy.

I think the number is 5 or 6 then you have to vote on comments by other people for awhile and it 'resets' now I'm not a MOD and they would know better than I.

That's a built in 'default' so that any single person CAN NOT 'play favs'. Just the way the 'Karma' system was designed.

hey guys just read the comments and lol'd at the doll collecting comments

Yes I did have it in my mind while watching it and also said to my cousin "its funny how everytime the dolls expression changes the camera is no where near it I think it was more curiousity as to how he changed the dolls expression

And I also had a little laugh when I seen the chucky doll there as that doll was purely fictional... It was the story that was inspired by robert the doll not chucky himself hehe

That was so crap! He didn't even try to conceal the freaking cuts! I'd also like to draw attention to the continuity of the doll's freaking hair which alters according to someone having changed it's bloody face. Also if it was such a great camera and he was so proud of it, why didn't this swanky camera come with a decent microphone?! NO It was done on a phone! He probs d/l a night vision FILTER app for it. When he turns the lights on the shading is EXACTLY THE SAME! Also I strongly suspect the focus changes were done in post. That is not how an auto focus behaves.
Justifying his doll collection to his Texan buddies is too freakin right.

Lexi, beware the Jabberwock my girl, beware! Youtube is up to the brim with crap like this. It totes ain't real.

Bethany:

I am sorry about the hijacked nature of this conversation. Please respond to some of our earlier questions, and we can address your narrative more clearly.
Thanks,
-Biblio.

(P.S. To Lexi: Who "downvoted" you for seeking a response? Seems odd, as it is on the topic of Haunted Doll Phenomena, and you were seeking to establish that dolls may be haunted...)

Lexi:

My first problem with the video is the deliberately distracting nature of the monotone narration, which continues --uninterrupted-- even when the recording has been stopped and started. Some of his initial claims are misleading: he certainly has a replica of the "Annabelle" doll; the *original* Annabelle haunted doll is in the Zaffis Museum in Connecticut.

While filming the cabinet straight-on, he creates visible glare; the 45-degree angle used in his first pass was glare-free! Then, he uses the glare he created as a reasonable explanation for opening the doors to the cabinet, leaving nothing between him (or an accomplice) and the dolls, before describing TWO tone-setting 'creepy' experiences to put the audience on heightened alert for haunted doll behavior.

The "haunted" doll's eyes are still facing to her right at 3:57, but have moved to face forward after the concealed "jump cut" at 3:58. Pause the video, and scroll back-and-forth on the scrollbar to see each moment individually, and you'll see what I mean. There are several jump-cuts immediately following this, as he's filming the Annabelle replica; my guess would be that he set up the "haunted" doll, and as resumed filming, the "haunted" doll's eyes sprang back to their normal positions, so he had to reset it a couple of times. Watch the scene a couple of times, and ask yourself "why are there so many cuts while he's looking at Annabelle?" [The answer is simple: HE isn't! We are, and because it's a hand-held camera, we ASSUME he is.]

Now, without watching the video past the 5:39 mark (because his narration is beginning to annoy me!), let me pose more questions (See what I did there? 😁 "Pose"? I made a pun! 😐 Oh, well). Consider the number of times he STOPPED FILMING THE 'HAUNTED' DOLL and scanned the other dolls:
Would you have taken your eyes off her for a moment?
Would you have left the lights off and just kept the night vision running?
Would you have left the cabinet doors open?
Would you have maintained the dramatic monotone, or would your voice register more concern?

I'm not dismissing this guy as a bad filmmaker; for an amateur, he's very consistent. However, I am going to call BS on his "haunted" doll collection. There's a good chance he just made the youtube video so his friends in Texas would stop making fun of his doll-collecting...
If I see anything which strikes me as NOT being deliberate trickery, I'll post another message.

Best,
-Biblio.

Hi Lexi,

I have to shove off the internet now, been squeezing in a bit of YGS whenever I can, which is in dribs and drabs lately! I'll take a look at those links you posted at some stage, when I can. Have a keen eye for visual trickery. Unfortunately it's very common. Anyway I'll let you know what I think when I've watched them. 😊

BTW I call karma points drama points haha. πŸ˜‰

Lexiloo:
1. Thank you for providing the direct link. I'll watch it later today. 😊
2. If Miracles is right (and she often is) you have my most sincere apologies if I gave offense with my comment. I am friends with a few movie actors ("background/extras" no one famous), a (minor) documentary producer whose name flashes by in 1/2 a second for one segment of "Cops" or "Mysteries at the Museum," and my cousin is a pro cameraman (TV news). As you described the events in the video, I was thinking, "How would I fake that?" My inherent skepticism kicks in before I watch so I can look for trickery, fraudulent claims, and questionable evidence. My comment was in anticipation of the clip, NOT intended to insult you.

Miracles: I know I can be sarcastic and abrasive when I catch a cheat or plagiarist, I would never intentionally insult another poster on this site; however, as it is entirely possible to read my last comment in the manner you suspected, I commend you on your vigilance. Thanks.

Lexi-loo, it may save everyone some time if you were to copy-and-paste the link for the specific video into your message. There are dozens, if not hundreds of videos on youtube on this topic, and even searching "cabinet of haunted dolls" has "about 239, 000 results" some of which (like this one, which I don't have time to watch and to evaluate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmJKYWxQTzw) are one hour, twenty-two minutes, and nineteen seconds long. Many of the clips range between 3 and 20 minutes, but that's still a lot of footage to explore without knowing WHICH "Robert the Doll" video you watched, and which "Haunted Dolls in a Cabinet" video you selected afterward. There's even an amateur documentary by "williamdefalco" entitled "Urban Legends: The world of Haunted Dolls on Ebay" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHQ9HQOxfDw) about people advertising their possessed/demonic/creepy dolls for sale in the U.K.!
Please find the link in your browsing history and share it, so others may evaluate the validity of what you saw. It may be a legitimate attempt to capture something supernatural, but -for now- your description sounds more like a film student's class project.

Thanks,
-Biblio

dolls can be freaky enough without them even doing anything there's quite a lot of storys on dolls over the years (the story of robert the doll) this aparantly inspired the movie childs play so I went on you tube to find the story and came across another video of a man that had a cabinet full of dolls that supposidly had paranormal storys behind them and he kept going back to this one doll one minute its eyes where to the side the next time the eyes where looking forward next time one eye shut but the strange thing was this doll hard a hard rubber face and its mouth was in an O shape then when he looked at it again its mouth had changed to half a smile you should check the vid on you tube its quite creepy

This is a creepy experience! Did you know dolls were originally created to "house" the dead... Glad I didn't really like dolls growing up!
