I Think a Ghost Was in my Room

I was asleep in my room at about 2:00 AM. I had my T.V. on so that it would shine brightly on my wall, because sometimes I can get scared when I have just watched ghost mysteries or Horror Movies. I opened my eyes to the wall that the T.V. was shining on, and I saw a figure go across the wall, as if someone had walked behind me from my door to the other side of the room. It was like a light black type person. So I looked back, and nothing was there.

I was so scared I thought my chest and heart were going to exploded! I prayed to god that whatever it was for god to protect me from it. And this happened on Thursday. Since that night, it hasn't happened again. I don't think my house is haunted. But I do think it was a visiting spirit. So if somebody can tell me what I saw, please tell me.

And I swear to god this happened. So please believe me. I'm am not sure what it was, but it DID NOT hurt me or harm me. And I am telling the truth. But I have a tip for you guys. If you see something you're not sure what it is, just pray to god to protect you and he will protect you. So don't be scared if you see a ghost or a spirit, just do what I told you, just pray to god. God loves you, and doesn't want you to be afraid.

This exact thing happened to me I also live in oregon. But he walked past my tv. And I shot up. And he vanished is has not happened again but I was still scared

it most asuredly could have been a visiting ghost on his way to somewhere. If he comes back again maybe he is lost and see if you can try to communicate with him in some way. Although believe me I would have ran out of the room screaming my head off if I saw anything move at night. I think I almost did once. Anyway, just pray it doesn't bother you again. Or if you could send it over here... I want to see a ghost...sorta... (jk) good luck^^

Look everybody. The last time I watch a horror movie was 2 weeks before this happened. I said "I can get scared when I have just watched ghost mysteries or Horror Movies..."I didn't say I had watch a horror movie that night. I wasn't dreaming, I wasn't imagining this.I'm not doing drugs, I don't do alcohol. So please believe me and hear me out. I DID NOT watch a horror movie that night. 😐

Well, promghost,
It looks as if you gave yourself the best advise. When you are scared, go to your Higher Power.
I am wondering, though, as it was two in the morning, could there have been a light flicker from the telly that send an odd shadow onto the wall? With the added words from you that you had been watching some decidedly scary shows, it is possible that your imagination lent the shadow some personal characteristics. Our imaginations can allow us to assume some honestly natural things are those of the paranormal realm.

i too think that it was because you watched horror movies and eventually you saw the shadow am not so good in advising about paranormal/ghostly things but I think that you did the right thing by praying god and as it vanished so praying god is ok. GREAT STORY

Thanx!To me, I like to pray. Its fun. Especially if I see a demon or spirit, I pray. Then they go away. 😊

It was very real to you. But I do know imagination can run rampant if you tend to be the scary type. Prayer was a good way to handle it and glad you didn't see it again. If it was a real spirit they tend to feed on fear but prayer was the right way to go.

I hope it was a reflection. It freaked me out! I didn't know what to do, then praying came to my mind. But luckly I haven't seen it since. I think and I hope my praying worked. And thanks everyone who are leaving comments.

like the commercial said, a mind is a terrible thing to waste. But like I say a mind is also a terrible thing to also have sometimes because our minds work overtime and plays tricks on you when your tired. I say if you really believe you saw something then you could set up a video camera or do an EVP but you might want to wait until whatever it was gets more active. Good luck and God bless. 😊

Chances are good here that what you saw was merely a fluctuation in the light emitted from the TV. The image went temporarily dark and light again. If you stayed up, you'd probably notice this happening regularly.

Is it possible a shdow reflected either from outside of a window or from another room or hallway?

I am not saying I do not believe you, I think you really believe you saw something, I would just caution you, before stating emphatically that it is/was a ghost, they are many other logical explainations.

Well since you were wacthing horror movies this can be explained. The mind can play realy good tricks on us. But in time you might see things going on in your house. Then you might find an answer to your question. But to me I think your mind played a trick on you. I liked your story. If anything goes on let us know. I hope to hear from you soon and take care

the mind is a wonderful thing! It sometimes makes you see what you want to see. I think that you were just scared, you did mention you were watching horror movies or something 😉
