Real Ghost Stories

Azreal

My boyfriend and I have been continuing to play with our board often. We recently moved into a new home, and have been there about a month. We regularly speak with a spirit named Tom. He says he lives in the house because it makes him happy, and he died of a heart attack in 1983. We did some asking around and some research, and learned that a Tom did in fact live in our house with his wife and daughter in the 70s. We actually found a love letter in our one closet that looked like an elementary student wrote it, and it was addressed to Kelly (Tom's daughter).

Anyway, we were talking to Tom one night, and he wasn't being too talkative. I kept asking repeatedly for someone new to come through who wanted to talk with us. I normally ask for spirits to enter our home only if they mean us absolutely no harm. But this time I just asked for anyone who wants to speak with us. All of a sudden, the room got very cold. The planchette moved to the center of the board, and then began quickly jerking to letters:

Board: AZRAEL

Me: Hello, is that your name?

Board: Yes

Me: Where are you from, Azrael?

Board: Salem Evil

Me: You are evil?

Board: Yes

Me: Do you have the ability to show yourself to us?

Board: Yes

Me: Where are you right now?

Board: At the front door open it

Me: You're at the front door?

Board: No next to Jason (the other person playing)

Me: How did you die?

Board: Fire

Me: You were in a fire?

Board: Burned alive witch

Me: You're a witch?

Board: evil

Me: Can you harm us?

Board: Yes I will

Jason: If you mean us harm, you are not welcome in our home. Goodbye!

(Planchette jerks really quickly and firmly to "goodbye." At that exact second, we heard a loud BOOM from upstairs. We went to check out what it was and all the shelves in our bathroom fell to the floor.)

The next day I googled the name Azrael because I'd never heard it before. It translates to "Angel of Death" in the Islamic religion.

It was a mischievous jinn/D'Jinn or whatever the other religion call jinn (jinn like in A-la-din but real deal).

What I found interesting is that, well I don't think you are a muslim so you shouldn't even think of phrases like "Salam"; "Azraeel/Isra-eel/Israel". But what confuses me is that, did it say "Salem" or "Salam"? (Salam is like a greeting in islamic religion) and "Salem" is actually a name...

And did it actually spell out like fluent english, cause your mother tongue is english so you might have corrected the mis-spelled word by yourself...

Oh, and another thing... When Jinns in particular leave, they give a prove of leaving like breaking a tree branch etc... So, if it was just a mischievous jinn just playing around or passing by it just messed with you for fun. So don't worry too much. And if it causes problem or you face any problem in not logical or normal sense, just give a heads-up.

Smell you later.

it might get physical with you. YOU MUST BE VERY CAREFUL! You can never can tell if what it told is the truth, for all you know it could be a demonic entity, if you do speak to it again, ask some questions that you'll KNOW it has answer truthfully
Best of luck! 😊

Shawtyz-Musicholic,

I hate to be a 'nit-picker' but I believe this name works out this way...

Azrael is the name given to the Archangel of Death in some extra biblical traditions. It is an English form of Izra'il or Azra'eil which is (are) Arabic. This name is traditionally attributed to the Angel of Death in Islam and Sikhism, as well as some Hebrew lore.

Israel...as you have 'put it' first appears in the Bible as the name given by God to the patriarch Jacob (Genesis 32:28). It also refers to the 'Country' or the 'Promised Land' in the Bible. First called "Land of Canaan" in Exodus and later called the "Land of Israel" in a later Book (1 Samuel 13:19).

Please check your resources and play again...

Respectfully,

Rook

well, the angel of death is not pronounced as Azrael. Its Israel. You talked with someone else.

it said yes because at the time of your death. It will come to you to drag out the soul. That's why he smoothly said goodbye. Just a symbol of coming back.

Israel is the angel of death. His work is to pull the soul out of the body at the time of death. He visited you but not showed himself to you may be it was not your time to die. But Israel is the only angel whose job is to pull the soul out of the body.

I agree with Smulliniks, the entity wouldn't just offer up its name so easily. I wouldn't trust it. Of course Azrael wasn't a witch murdered during the trials. Azrael is one of the names for the Archangel of Death or the Angel of death that appears in many cultures folklore.

Pay close attention for things around your home. See if anything picks up. Perhaps you had a entity visit that's less then honest which would indicate they may not have the best intentions.

I think you spoke to another entity with the same name, or at least it was a lie. Either way, don't provoke it.

Never ask the spirit to show itself other than on the board. If you do that, it will no longer be talking through you but instead manifest itself in our realm.

Its not actally pronounced as Izraeel and can only visit a dying person so how can you ever sumone a arc angel from the seventh heaven, the other on the razor-sharp bridge that divides paradise and hell. It mut be one of the lucifers or Iblis folowers. Ouja board certainly isn't for entertainment and is strictly to aid a medium while in communication with the spirit world. But even though it was a bold move! 😊

Hi smulliniks, thanks for the comment. This spirit hasn't done anything further since this story happened, about a month ago. And you are right about not being able to say their name aloud. My friendly ghost Tom told me recently that evil spirits will never tell you their real name because Satan will torture them if we say their name out loud. Interesting stuff.

You made a couple crucial mistakes while using the board:
1. You did not protect your self with a white candle, pure silver coin, sage, etc. (or prayer)

2. You asked the demon to show itself outside the board... That IS a BIG nono. The Ouija is a portal for spirits, when you use the bored you open the portal and that's all well and good but when you ask the demon/spirit to show itself outside the board it allows it to be welcome in your house. Closing the portal after the demon is in your house does not banish it from your house, it will continuously wander your house causing mischief and even harm to you or your family if it is bad enough.

3.Suggestion- Now that this has already manifested itself into a problem, if the demon is deciding to stick with you and your husband and starts to cause problems get a priest to do a cleansing of the house-and if its bad enough find one that will perform an exorcism.

4.The archangel thing, all the demons I have encountered on my Ouija board have all lied to me and I can assure you that this one is doing the same exact thing. If memory serves me right demons will not tell you their real name, you knowing/saying their real name will banish them to hell or afterlife what ever you would like to call it.

Thanks for the input Hoochler. I did think it was interesting since I had known nothing about the name, or even that it was a name at all. I'm certainly sure it was lying in some way also, I've found through experience that most spirits do lie. And the fact that my shelves fell to the floor the second he said goodbye, means he could be very strong, or... It may have been a strange coincidence. All I know is that my story is 100% true and that it spooked someone who is not easily spooked. (me!) Thanks for the comment.:)

I do not think you were talking to the being you found reference to as the "Angel of Death" in Islamic religion. I think you were talking to something else, something evil that was lying to you.

The reason I say this is because the reference you found to the "Angel of Death" is probably referring to the Archangel Azrael. It is my opinion that the Archangel Azrael has gotten a bad rep over time because he is the archangel that specializes in helping people cross over at the time of death. He minimizes suffering while a person dies and helps the recently deceased to assimilate on the other side.

Survivors can also call upon the Archangel Azrael for comfort if they are grieving the loss of a loved one.

I think the being you were talking to was someone/something else besides the being you found reference to.

Archangel Azrael is an angel of light and is not at all evil.

Thanks Daisy,
I take these things with a grain of salt, as many spirits tend to lie just to try and scare us. Ouija boards can be dangerous when you invite unknown spirits into your house like that. I've been a lot more careful since this day.

Sounds scary, that is why you should never use an Ouija Board as they are very bad news and they can get you into a lot of trouble and they can open of portals that should not be opened. You should also discard the Ouija Board but NEVER burn or brake it because everything that got trapped in the board (both good and bad) can escape. You don't want that as it can be hard to get them to go back to where they come from.

Good luck!

Daisy
