California CEO Has Visit

So, a little context. I am a CEO of a California corporation; I deal with deadlines and tons of stress. Not complaining just telling it how it is. Further, my best friend is a reporter for the San Francisco Examiner, it's not relevant to my story but I just want to establish that I am legit.

So I was sitting at my computer today, at approximately 1:00 PM when I hear a loud boom coming from over my right shoulder. I live in a beautiful apartment in the Inner Sunset District of San Francisco. I get up to investigate and find that the trash bag in my kitchen has been knocked over. In my living room I find that my aluminum recycle bin has been crushed, there is no way that I could have done it by myself. I then proceeded to my bedroom and immediately hear a sound of spilling liquid; my iron had been turned over and was leaking water.

So there was disturbance in three separate rooms. I had always joked with my roommate that the apartment was haunted because there are always doors opening and closing, which we could explain away because we are in the top floor of a high rise and it's drafty.

My sense is that that whatever did this was not bad, but trying to get my attention for some reason. Any thoughts?

Well good luck, but whatever you do, don't try to make friends with it or make a pet of it - get it out of your place - because it's living off of you...

I'll post some stories soon XD but yah... I live in the area close to where the civil war took place and a lot of indians used to live there WAY LONG ago too. In fact, the town is named after a race of indians who used to call the place their home even. There's lots of places that are haunted like that and I just thank god I don't live in Pennslyvania. I hear that place can be pretty scary XD * (or connecticut even) *

I'm going to have to say that raccoons aren't too big of a possibility considering how high up you say your apartment is, but the earthquake thing is definitely possible in my eyes. I would check up on that. Thanks for posting!

Cali Guy--
Did you check with the meteorological department? The earth might've given a burp and tipped the bag, the can (boom), and the iron.
While it's disconcerting to have three objects put out of place and not other things (no rumble underfoot to verify earth tremor), I'd suggest you wait until more phenomena occurs before getting too spooked.

To youngdz79: Good point about removing the 'ghost' as I wasn't thinking of having a priest to bless the place, but remember, God is ALWAYS in control of ALL things and even the Devil himself had to ask permission to inflict pain! Say the Lord's prayer and mention 'God rebukes you, Devil". The Devil's job is to cast confusion and fear and to steal as many souls before the end nears. He (Satan) was casted out of Heavenly realm and sent to Earth (our realm) and caused a lot of serious issues! He is angry at the LORD for allowing humans to be saved in the name of Jesus while the Devil was rejected. GOD told him no more will Lucifer be allowed back into Heaven as Devil (before he was fallen angel) got arrogant and pompous and thought he himself should be the ruler. Well, GOD always PREVAILS. Read the book of JOB. Also, the garden of Gethsemane is a good read too! Thanks! 😊

nice story sounds like you got a ghost or two:), also to emb1983 not all ghosts who knock things over or open and close doors are poltergeist, and also say the lords name does not always work (actually 90% of the priest I talk to say that if you are not trained for exorcism's you should not try to remove the ghost yourself). Cali guy you should keep us posted on things and if the do get out of hand or you want them to stop then seek help

Also, dear CEO, if these happenings persists - the doors opening and closing and you are sure it is not draft related or if you continue to sense other presence or negative feelings, open a Bible and ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your savior and believe in HIM. Ask for forgiveness as one thing the devil hates is people worshipping the LORD and giving Jesus praises. If you don't have a Bible handy, just go online and
Copy this link - it's free and available to anyone.
Http://www.biblegateway.com/versions/ and search English

Or might I suggest reading NIV King James
Http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=version=NIV&version=31

Luke 11:2-4, and Matthew 6:9-15
Recite the LORD's prayer
(Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,

The power and the glory,

For ever and ever.

Amen)

This will help! - Amen A friend in Christ

Hi, Lavenders! I've never been to California! My sister has and she says it's nice out there. I am curious, ghosts in Illinois? I'm (no pun intended) dying to hear about your experiences! As for the California CEO's situation, I am not neccessarily saying the raccoons actually crushed the aluminum can, just that maybe the dent was not noticable until the critters came around. You know, kind of like you walk or drive by day after day until for whatever unknown reason, something catches your eye and you're left wondering how did I miss that all this time? Just a theory. Now if there is a constant banging, another theory I had is water pressure as doesn't water (steam or heat) rises I hear from time to time in my house. One day it was so loud, I jumped and thought surely a plane fell out of the sky and hit my house! Turned out it was the darn water pipes from washing machine! Now I am not disproving ghosts, as I do believe in them, but these sounds more like everyday things we tend to forget or not notice once in a while. 😊

I live in CA too! It's nice here but I'm sadly disappointed in the non-exsistant ghost like activity and ghost stories that I'm used to hearing/experiencing so much in IL. Actually... Not so sad about experiencing it, glad really, but I do like to hear/read ghost stories of things that might possibly have happened in the area.

Anyways, I don't see how racoons or a rat could have crushed a aluminium recycle bin... If the bin is anything that I'm thinking of that's somewhat difficult to do so fast in the time frame that he's talking about.

I think emb1983 might have a good idea about how it could be poltergeist being atagnoized by the large amounts of stress that you have to deal with. If it was myself and that happened in my house, I would be in tears because I'd be pretty scared. I'd definitely be looking to move to a less haunted area if it kept on happening... XD

HI! Long time reader, second time posting. Not to disprove or dispute your story of a haunt or of ghosts, but it almost sounds like raccoons! Or a rat. It is very possible that the critters somehow climbed up and ran to your area looking for food. As for your job title, it sounds like a wonderful position but think - is it really worth the stress? I too used to work for a major corporation assisting the VP and his staff and was recently laid off late last year. I used to love my job and not sure why but it was stressful. Anyway, just putting out my two cents worth.

That sounds like a poltergeist. How long have you lived there? You may very well have an unwanted roommate. I have heard that stress can bring on poltergeist activity. Sorry if I'm not much help, but I did enjoy your story! Maybe you could try speaking out loud to the spirit and telling it in the name of Jesus Christ to leave your home. Have you seen anything or just sounds and things being moved? Thank you for sharing your story.
