Creepy Fire Alarm

I have lived in the same house in London for all my life, just a small little 3 bedroom house... Really normal looking, really normal neighbourhood, normal family but sometimes in my home strange things happen...

One night in mid-March it was about 3:30am when I heard the fire alarm go off, I woke up thinking it was my older sister coming home from a night out and then cooking food but had passed out on the sofa or something, so I got out of bed but realized that there was no smoke and all the lights were out... I went to my sister's room and she was in bed fast asleep.

My mum and her partner came out of their room and looked up at the fire alarm strangely then my mum spoke. "Maybe the batteries are dying. That's what happens" so I just shrug the whole thing off and went back to sleep whilst my mum and her partner took the fire alarm down and took the batteries out for the night.

For some reason the next morning my mum's partner was putting the old battery back into the fire alarm. "Thought mum said that it was dying?" I questioned and he just carried on putting it back together. When he put it back up later that day he tested it and made sure that it was working and then he remembered that the battery was only a couple of months old so it wouldn't be drained... I personally thought that was a bit weird but again I just shrugged it off.

A few weeks later I was walking up the stairs when I saw a white mist go into the fire alarm and it started going off again. The weirdest thing was that I was home alone; I wasn't cooking anything so I knew it wasn't smoke and it was just the small little piece of white mist, I told my mum when she got home.

Since then I haven't seen the mist and the fire alarm hasn't gone off... It was just those two times. It is something I will remember for the rest of my life.

Its been happening to us too. Its been going on for a month now. Every night around 9pm our smoke alarm goes off. We have replaced the whole unit and changed the batteries twice and its still happening. We can't figure out what to do.

our school have fire alarms in every 7 floors. And sometimes we even face these problems. Our firealarms are kept in some boxes made of glass. In case of any emergency we have to break of the glass. But we don't have other switches to press the fire alarm bell but if you break the glass and press the swith than the alarm rings. Many times we heard our fire alrm ringing without any reason and we even noticed that the glass didn't break. As I am a teachers kid I got an oppurtunity to see the incidence. I was thrilled to see it. Our school is a bit different from other schools in Bangladesh. We follow Cambridge university in England. Our school is known as the best school in Bangladesh and one of the best school in Asia. So in that case we have a better security service. And our school is rather very old... 😕
Thanx

You know what's funny. I was wondering about the exact thing that happened to us twice too. Ours is that little carbon monoxide detector gadget that you plug into the wall socket. It beeped twice on the same day for us and I thought it was the batteries but I later found out that our model didn't have batteries and relied purely on electricity while it's plugged in. The one that beeped twice (about an hour interval) was in our kitchen while my husband and I were there, way after we had dinner. We were just talking. We were a little spooked but I thought it was purely a technical problem. No one else was in the house with us and it's my husband who was closer to it. It was really strange. Two days after that, my mother-in-law passed away. I don't know if there's a connection, but it could be my deceased father-in-law warning us about it? I don't know for sure. I don't want it to happen again. I'm praying hard it won't. I'm not really scared of ghosts. But I don't want anything bad and sad happening to our family again. Interesting.

Your observations may have indicated a way to detect the 'physical' form of a ghost.

Since fire alarms such as home use ones can be 'set off' with just a minute amount of dust.

It might be an imprint.
A long time ago there might've been a fire, causing great emotional stress. The emotions were so great that it left an imprint, which almost repeats the fire. Probably why the alarm is going off.
