Real Ghost Stories

My Newest Guest Or Guests

It has been quite some time since my last story. To catch you up to speed real quick on my latest situation, I'll present my story in a very matter of fact manner with no fillers, just facts.

I was recently laid off from work. With that said, I had to cut corners as best I could for I am supporting two children who live with their mother in PA. I was living in a historic part of Winston-Salem, NC called West End. I was able to break my lease a month early and find a place that was significantly cheaper. Luckily for me, I found a place in a building only 3 houses down and for 200 dollars less a month.

I live around the back side of the building, in the basement which has been converted into two apartments on that level. The building was built in 1927 and used to be a hotel. You certainly get that old feel to the place, charming... Now that you are up to speed, I'll begin laying out each encounter...

The 1st- I was in my living room relaxing, listening to NPR while I had laundry going down the hall in the public facility outside my apartment. While sitting on the couch I kept noticing movement from down my hallway. It was nothing too distinct yet there was no denying that I was seeing some type of white movement crossing my bedrooms' threshes hold periodically. As always I was like 'whatever' and just went about my business. After a while I decided to check and see if the wash was done so I could throw it in the laundry. As I opened my apartment door and turned to go down the hall, I saw a big burly man walk across the door way to the laundry room where I was headed. He had black hair, black beard and was wearing what looked like blue jean overalls on. I walked fast to the laundry room and low and behold, yep you guessed it, NOTHING nobody there. Sigh.

The 2nd- I was taking a shower one morning and as I was rinsing off

BAM - a hand slams in to my shower curtain from the outside at my face level. It then slid all the way down to the bottom. I was home alone when this happened. I even tried to rein act it myself to no avail. I saw the dense shadow of the palm and the five shadowy digits as they slid down. I hopped straight out, grabbed my towel and phone and stepped outside and called my mom ha-ha. I always call her first and right away when this stuff happens, she understands and believes me.

The 3rd- My kids were visiting. It was getting close the bedtime; I had just washed up the dishes etc. I wash their sippy cups by hand. After I washed them, I set them on top of a paper towel on the counter, face up so the water can evaporate and the lid-stop side facing down partly atop the cups. With that said, that same evening, I put my boys down to bed and stepped out to the kitchen for a moment to get something out of the cabinet. In doing so, I accidentally knocked the cups over which were drying on the counter. I left them be and went back in to finish tucking the kids in. Fifteen minutes later when I came out... The freaking cups were all picked up. They were all placed facing down with the lids all propped up against them facing the same direction in perfect order! I said thanks aloud and left it at that.

The 4th- This is my last encounter thus far. I was cleaning my apartment a few days ago and as I sometimes feel; I started getting the chill and the not alone feeling. As I walked down my hallway to the kitchen which is by the bedroom, I ball of what I can only describe as a white light dropped down from beyond my bedroom doorway and flew straight at me. It startled me so much that I actually jumped out of the way. I then again went straight outside and called mother dearest - she only laughed ha-ha.

So yup, that would be the latest in my so called life. My mom says I should try to reach out to them more but it just plain wiggs me out.

JustCurious- I so agree with you. I would have screamed, ran out of the house (but not without a towel of course) and over to this person's house that I know from school.

Wow... The shower one would have definatly scared me. I probably would have to go to a friends, or a family members place, to shower after that for a few days until I felt safe enough to shower in my own place again. 😆 😨.

Peace

Brian - It's always good to read your well-grounded reports. From your former hotel job to now living in a former hotel, you've had quite a variety of experiences (also your oldest son and your ex), and you might well be asking "What do they want from me?"
Maybe recognition, maybe release.
So the bushy-bearded guy seems to be from the '70s, you figure he could not be a casualty from the fire since no death was reported from it. OK. But there's still the possibility the man did die in the building (or somewhere nearby?), from natural or unnatural causes.
What's the evidence so far? A full appearance; a hand on the shower curtain (and slowly sliding down? Hmmm, what did it suggest? A man slowly dying?); the upset cups being set right; and the ball of light shooting at you. Could they be clues in a specific order to form a specific picture or profile?
Have you ever left out a pencil and paper in an unobtrusive spot and invited it to write? Ever left a trigger object somewhere on a paper with a trace around it to see if it gets moved? Any ideas what you want to do next?
Please keep yourself spiritually protected, even if it's with the Jesus Cross.
Peace. ~ James

Thanks for the warm welcome back. James, I don't think the man is from the hotel era of the building, he had more of a 70's look to him. As far as the history of the place goes, all I have heard is that it was a hotel in the 20's / 30's then converted to apartments. There was a huge fire in the 70's but I was told that nobody perished in that fire. And no, I saw no other mass behind the curtain, just the hand. Cosmogal, I'm sure they do appreciate a thank you, I have done that a time or two. Thanks again for the warm welcome, take care 😊

Brian - Yes, very big welcome back. Hope you and your sons are doing well. You've racked up quite a history of experiences over the past few years, and your latest story shows you still have the "magnetic touch" to draw out the usually unseen, like a lodestone attracts iron filings.
The hand on the shower curtain would've shocked me into paralysis. I take it you saw no dark mass of a "body" beyond it? Holy Cats.
You think his clothes and neatness indicate a hotel maintenance man? Now he has your attention, he shows the brightness of his energy (and by it, showing he has no harmful intentions)?
Best of dealings in the future. ~ James

Welcome back BriFischer05, it has been a while. 😊 Sorry to hear you were laid off and I hope you find something better soon. Do you know any history on the building you now live in? Being that it was a hotel at one time there could have been a few incidents on the property. Your second experience with the hand moving down the shower curtain creeped me out. I would have fainted. 😨 You may have more than 1 ghostie running around. The one that fixed the cups for you, sounds kind of nice. I would have said thanks too. I think they appreciate it when your polite. Thanks for sharing another story with us. Take care ❤
