Purple Orb That Made Me Realize I Could Clear A Fence

This takes place in Claremore, Oklahoma, when I was in the 8th grade or so. Late at night, I was about to take my dogs outside to do their business before bed, but a purple light which caught my attention made me refrain from doing so. It wasn't very big, but it was bright, had a mix of purple and white in it, and was moving at a steady rate. At first I thought it was a neighbor's bike, but the orb didn't change speed at all, even when it came down a hill on the road I was looking at, through my window. I thought this was peculiar, so I went to another window and watched it make the turn that would eventually be my stretch of road within the neighborhood. Finally, it was out of the sight of my window, so I, being the curious person I am, ventured outside.

It was hard for me to logically reason what this was, because after a while of looking at it, I could see that there was no bike attached to the light. Lost in thought of what it could be, I didn't pay attention to how close it was getting to my house. I soon realized this, however, when it started to cross into my yard. At this moment, I was in the middle of my driveway, so I decided it was a grand moment to hide behind my little evergreen tree, to watch what it would do next. It didn't take long for me to realize that this orb was getting closer to me, probably within 6 or 7 feet. When this happened, I'm not exactly sure what the orb did, because my body's flight or fight instinct wanted to flee. However, I guess my instincts were working great that night, because I ran at a pretty fast rate, wall kicked the side of my house somehow, and cleared the 5 ft. Tall chain link fence for my backyard.

This occurrence still puzzles me and kind of freaks me out; however, I'm proud of the awesome skills I acquire when my instincts kick in. I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this. You can even let me know about rad instinct moves you've pulled when this stuff happens. Thank you so much for help and cool stories.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously I can't stop laughing. I've just been clicking on random, mostly older stories, and

Between this new line and my last 'and' I nearly spat tea all over my lovely rug. I'm still laughing.

I can't remember what I was going to say anymore.

Shini, needless to say I've added your extremely well told experience to my faves.
By the way I was laughing as soon as I read the title.
Thank you much for sharing! (still laughing)

Interesting story dear. I went to a cemetary with a few friends at night for a scary walk. Dumb idea I know, but we were only 16 or so... Walked all the way through the front portion of the cemetary and upon leaving I heard smthng, looked back and saw what I can only describe as a black shadow dog swiftly floating through the headstones about 30ft away. We were already walking back twrd the car, and I automatically ran (fight or flight straight up), and jumped and cleared about a 3.5ft high chain gate with a crash and roll landing, got right back up and ran directly to my car like 100 additional feet away. I know the feeling and how your body goes into it like second nature!:)

redphx- Oh wow, that must've been pretty frightening for your mom. She's not alone, though. In the neighborhood I just moved into, there are rattlesnakes, but also the nasty little pigmy rattlers, along with a plethora of other dangerous reptiles. I took a walk one day, almost took a step, but froze before I put my foot down, because there was a normal rattler in the area my foot would've landed. Fortunately it was dead, but I still had that "FML" moment. Scary stuff. 😊 ❀

LOL. It is amazing what the human body is capable of. My mother once stepped on a rattlesnake. Jumped the 5 foot bushes and wall, bounded into the front yard, and another great leap she was in the road. She didn't get bit and she said as she heard the rattle she realized she had already made it to the road! I completely understand what your response was and I bet you can't clear that fence now, could you. LOL

I seriously don't know how I even pulled it off that quickly. It was just all of a sudden THERE, I don't even remember thinking about it, just doing it. Man, if you missed the bus and had to walk to school it was a good 5 miles IN THE SNOW. That was my only motivation. πŸ˜‰

DC- That is amazing! If I tried to do something like that, I'd probably end up tripping over the chain or sliding under it, only to smash into a rock, or something. I'm glad my story was able to help you remember that. πŸ˜†

I'm trying to think of a super-hero theme song for this,LOL! I can imagine the feeling that gave you afterward, I mean that is a cool move. So now when you see someone do it in the movies, and you know a stuntman had to perform it for them (with the exceptiom of Jackie Chan), you can just smile knowingly. The only thing I've done, and this doesn't even come close, was back in high school I thought I was late for the bus so I ran toward the bus stop, took a sharp left to cut through a field and dirt driveway that ended at the bus stop. There was 2ft of snow and the driveway was froze up and as I rounded the last bend in the driveway, running downhill, I noticed someone had drawn a chain across it. I was going too fast to stop in time so I just fell on my side and let my forward momentum do the rest, slid under the chain and got back on my feet on the other side. After coming to a stop about 15ft from the bus stop and brushimg myself off I looked up and everyone was staring at me. I just looked back at them and said "I thought I was going to miss the bus" and they all started cracking up. I had forgotten all about it until I read your story, and now it's one of my faves. Thank you, Deane πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

LOL, Daz! πŸ˜† Yeah, I think being chased by a guard dog would inspire me to do some pretty extraordinary things, too!

I'm still a bit confused with that orb, though. I've had orbs (could've been dust specks, too) fly at me through a camera lens, but I've never had this happen, and also never encountered a purple orb like this. Interesting stuff. 😊

I have to tell you I cleared a 6ft fence when I was 14... I wasn't being chased by an orb... But rather a vicious guard dog... Being in the wrong place at the wrong time... I actually remember the dog just nipping my bud as it jumped at me in a desperate attempt to catch his breakfast... I know exactly how you managed it... Thanks for sharing mate...

Daz.

:P I also have a similar story to this when I lived in Claremore. I was in highschool and a group of friends and I decided to go to the nearby cemetary which wasn't too far from my house. It was in the middle of the night and me and 2 other friends were ahead while the others were behind. A friend asked me what something was in the cemetary, I had no idea but they were 3 balls of light. As we got closer I could tell they were kind of bouncying around, and then they started to come near me and my friends. Thats when I freaked and we all took off. It followed us for a second and then was gone.

Your comment reminds me so much of my mum! She has always said that she would like to be reincarnated into a bird - so that she could s**t on the people who pi**ed her off! Great idea in my opinion haha

I forgot to mention this, but here's more info on the event:

After I ran inside and slammed my back door, I told my parents about it. All three of us looked around the windows, the backyard, and the frontyard, but the orb was completely gone. This happened about 2-3 minutes after the epic wall/fence clearing.

I don't know if this is very epiphany worthy, but I have known the energy orbs of entities to vanish after being spotted.

Pinkzilla-
Oh no, you didn't offend me at all. Sorry if I came across wrong. I completely understand. Perhaps I worded something wrong. I don't know if it was on a 'set course' but it just seemed like it was travelling, then when it noticed my presense, it crossed into my yard, then things progressed from there.

Its hard to explain, but I get a feel or vibe if something is potentially dangerous (or bad, for lack of a better word... Perhaps negative?). There is also a feeling you kind of get to know if you're dealing with an entity or ghostie. I was getting that feeling, although I'm not sure what it was.

I wasn't suggesting that the light was a spacecraft, just a probe. It just seems to me (and I could be completely wrong, I'm just throwing it out there as a possibility), that if this thing was on a set course, it could be an alien probe. I know that some people don't believe in extraterrestrials, but the fact that this purple light was on a set course just makes me think that it wasn't necessarily a spirit or ghost. It's just what first popped in my head while reading your story. That's all. I didn't mean to offend you or anyone else.

Pinkzilla-
Hmm, I don't mean to offend, but I don't know if it were an alien or not. There were no other attachments to the light, and it was way too close to the ground to be on a space craft. There also weren't any odd lights in the sky, either. Oh well, it is a theory.

Okay, I'm just going to say it:

The light could have been alien in nature, maybe a probe? I have read and heard many stories about lights like the one you describe, they usually are followed by a spacecraft. You did say that it was following a set course, or some sort of pattern. Maybe they were scanning the area and saw that you were interested in it and wanted to get a closer look at you too. Interesting story and way to clear that fence!

That sounds like a plan! πŸ˜† I've always wondered if entities do things just to prank people.
Regarding that particular orb, no, but I did have a TON of experiences afterward, and I'm still having ghosties and what not say "hi".
I kind of wish it would pop up again, because I don't think I'd be as afraid. Now that I think about it, I really want to know what it wanted and what it was.
And, lol, I know what you mean by some of the stuff on here. My writing should get considerably better once I get back into it. 😊

Shinigami: What a great story! πŸ˜†...It's pretty amazing what one can do when the adreneline gets pumping!...

The orb may have been an elemental... Or a wayward entity... I know moonshadow and me are going to fly around after we die, and scare the bejezzus out of people who pi**ed us off in this lifetime πŸ˜†...

Have you seen anything similar since then?...By the way, don't worry about having rusty writing skills, you've read some of the stuff on here, right?... ❀

Ambernsue-
The reason why I wondered if it was a bike at first was actually the size. It was pretty big for an orb, about 3-4 inches in diameter, and it was bright... And purple. It moved at a pretty slow rate, too.
Definitely on my top 10 weird experience list.

Wow. It's amazing what lots of people can do when their instincts kick in...hahaa. LOL. As for the orb... How large was it so that it was coming closer to you at what rate? I'm just curious, but I cannot say I have had similar occasions like yours...:)

Cosmogal-
Haha, thank you! And yes, I believe it was on some sort of course, whether it be lay lines or whatever else. Perhaps it was even a spirit reliving a certain scene in their life. Maybe it realized I was sensitive to those sort of things and wanted to say "hi!". πŸ˜†

Great story, and I have to admit I laughed too at the thought of you bouncing off the side of your house and leaping over a fence. LOL πŸ˜† I experienced that fight or flight moment myself. When I was a teenager I saw a shadow form into an apparition of a man and walk from my kitchen through my living room. I never took 3 flights of stairs so fast in my life. I was out of the apartment and on the street in less 10 seconds. So I understand how it can be once adrenalin takes over. Regarding the orb, it sounds like it was on some sort of course as it manuvered itself down hill and around a corner. Thanks and take care. 😊

The will of a human can clear that sorts of thing and also the mind, for examples people can move things with their mind power.
We can do this all the time, but we do this mostly in time of fear despair.

Ps. Sorry for my bad english 😊

Yeah, thanks Surya. I'm a little nervous, as I haven't really written anything for a few months, so it may be a bit rusty.

I'd be happy if anyone would like to discuss similar events, or maybe even what it was. I'm thinking an entity gave off a particular strong energy, but I'll welcome other theories.

Shinigami0,

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I have not read a story in a while which has a funny ending as yours did. Way to go jumping the fence. Amazing what a person can do when something has frightened the crap out of them, (excuse the phrase)! πŸ˜†
