I think these are called Hell Hounds. I am not sure as to what they are. But if you find it's presence symbolic of a non-physical death that is a very good attitude to take.

RufusMador,

I'll start with a quote from your comments...

"I believe my sighting had to do with the moment."

I 'feel' it did just that... It was a mainifestation of all the 'bad blood' and 'negitive' energy that abounded during that time in your household. You yourself have stated you are 'gifted' and this may have been an early 'form' of seeing the 'energies' in and around you and your home... They just took on that particular form.

Respectfully,

Rook

Sorry to hear about your parents. This is what I am thinking. This creature was a devil, its goal was to break up your parents which is one of the proudest things for devils to accomplish. Devils, that I know of are very often known to have dog like features and to even be thought to be a dog by those that see them. I have never seen them in this form but rather a humanoid form. In the morning the devil may have been giving you a bad dream or just been upset at you for making your parents calm down the night before. It may have been just trying to scare you too. Also, kids are pure and often can see things like this that grown ups cant. Thanks for the story.

Thanks heaps for all the comments. I would like to state that my beliefs regarding death, hell, gods and any of that Christian related stuff is taken with a grain of salt and generally I refer to them as a joke due to fact they were all created as a weak interpretation of the truth in order to control the masses.

I've got a document I've been writing on the relation of Truth vs. Myth that I may post... Somewhere... Not sure where... Anyway it uses mythology and religion as a basis of the study.

So...

I'm not too afraid of seeing this dog a few more times... Like... Death probably isn't what the main stream think it is anyway. I believe my sighting had to do with the moment. I don't know if the dog was there to help me, if he was the one causing the issues in the first place or whether or not he was there to protect me, or merely looking over for some reason. I'm of the opinion that he had something to do with the break up and I have a feeling that won't be the last time I see him either.

Yes I have had many other sightings and experience with spirits and psychic powers and the like. My whole family is (for lack of a better word) filled with witches. I've grown up with this sort of thing and although it scared me and I turned away from it when I was younger, as a 23 year old I now find it extremely interesting and yeah... I might post up some other experiences my family and I have had

The hound of Baskavilles falls more into Zoology if you ask me, but anyways...

Maybe you were so upset about the situation as a child, that you imagined this thing to try and help you deal with it? Who knows?

Oh no it's the GRIM...RUN!

Sorry had to go there...

It seems that while this 'sighting' scared the bejeepers out of you it didn't have any lasting 'ill feelings'...no opressive or hateful impressions... Is that correct?

Just because an Entity and or Spirit is black with red eyes does not make it 'evil'... Yes the description given does resemble the traditional description of a hell hound... But what were hell hounds called and used for?

Quite often when dealing with an image or represintation of 'death' it does not represent physical 'death' but referes to CHANGE... (ie: death of the old to make way for the new... New ideas, new 'life path' new... Well whatever)

Best example I can give is the Tarot Card 'Death'... Go on... Time for research... Look it up... While it can stand for Physical Death it often does not...

Respectfully,

Rook

Unfortunately the description fits of a Hell Hound these are evil demonic dogs I'm not trying to scare you but legend says if you see this dog 3 times... You die. Even worse I do not know how to deal with this kind of evil. I thought they only came out at night...

I believe this all came about because the negativity in the air was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Entities that feed of this would have a ball but why you seen a dog I'm not to sure perhaps it was an imitation I'm not sure, did you ever experience anything else? (Sorry but I did have a lil chuckle when you said you pretended to be a dog, think I may have done that when I was younger aswell 😁)

Thanks for sharing.

This is quite interesting, so it seems that that connection with a dog and death abounds everywhere, I'm suprised I didn't really make that connection earlier. By the way another egyptian dog-god: wepawet. The egyptians also revered dogs. Quote" The original king of the dead before Osiris took that position, Wepwawet was intimately connected with Egyptian royalty. The Lord of the Dead in Egyptian religion was the King of Kings and Wepwawet's original honor survived in his placement on two of the four royal standards. " also another even more well known egyptian dog god is set who is more or less an evil kind of god. Among most Turko-Mongol and Siberian peoples, the wolf and dog hold a very high place. One of the most well-known traditions in this regard is the descent of the great Mongol conqueror Genghis Khan from the wolf and the doe. By the way you can get more info from http://asiapacificuniverse.com/pkm/dogstory.htm 😊
