redphx, you hunt people?!?!? Really? In what way? Should you really be admitting this to the general public. Now I know to stay out of your way, lest I be hunted. I'm scared now.

well sorry you did kind of deserve what you were getting. I hate it when people use mounts. I went to a bass and pro shop the other day for a gun. (I hunt people) I asked the guy at the register why they didn't use stuffed humans for their manicans to show off clothing like they used the stuff animals for show. He looked at me like I was insane. To me there is no difference. The poor animals. It is one thing to kill them for food and thank them and be respectful. It is quite another to hang their head and say look what I murdered.

Poor little bear. I am very glad that he found peace and I hope you learned a lesson about the animals. They have souls and feelings too! 😠

In the back of my mind, I have always wondered if there were non-human spirits. This would definitely explain a lot when you consider stories of spirits that don't seem to behave like a human.

This story was really well written and I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for sharing.

What a fascinating story and a powerful lesson. I wonder how many paranormal experiences are not of human origin but the spirits of slaughtered animals. I don't think there's anything wrong with hunting and if your family is hard up for cash then you've got to do what you need to survive. But Native Americans in centuries past knew to thank the spirit of animals they killed, unlike most modern Americans who don't have a spirit of gratitude.

I loved the way you wrote this. How interesting and mildly funny! A bear ghost eh? That's wild! I'm glad it was just sitting on you and not trying to maul you or anything. I've never heard of an angry bear ghost before. Thanks for the story!
