Daz - I just figured you play the "what if" game that I play all the time. Not a good game to play, but we do it anyway, don't we? Human nature though. Glad I could help, Daz ❀ Just can't believe it took me that long to see your story.

Miracles, yes mate you are correct... Just because my time wasn't up didn't mean it wasn't up for someone else... Always good to here from you my friend... Thanks again for your comment and giving me less to over think about... You know how my mind thinks, cheers mate,

Daz.😁

Daz - you know how I feel about your gifts and, yes, this one is also a gift regardless of how you feel about it. It's an ability that has been given to you that not everyone else has. It just has it's crappy side.

You also know, Daz, that there is nothing you could have done to prevent that accident. Let's say you told everyone you knew that you had had a premonition that you were in an accident and that you died. Even if you had had some kind of pull with the local authority and they had closed the road that day, that man who died was still going to die, Daz. It was his time.

It may not have been in that accident right at that time. Maybe it would have been further down the road and it may have been a worse accident. But it was going to happen. Maybe it would have been the next day and maybe that day it would have involved someone you knew and loved.

It played out the way it was supposed too. You had the premonition. You paid attention to it, just like you were supposed to. But you weren't meant to save that man's life, Daz. It was his time.

Thanks Taz, I appreciate your thoughts on my story, I was lucky that's for sure mate... One thing I do know the accident was not my fault... Otherwise it wouldn't of happened... I sometimes think about the un lucky person who died... To think all that day I knew it was going to happened and kind of did nothing to stop it... Anyway thanks again mate.

Daz.

Darkness, You know mate I don't look at it like a gift... I think its more of a blessing... There has to be someone up there looking over my shoulder mate... I have had a few more than coincidental dreams and even spoken to some of these ministerial spirits who watch over us... My time was no up in this sphere budy and maybe in the next I may know a little more about the reasons behind it... Cheers mate.

Your accounts always continue to amaze me buddy you have been blessed with a great gift and I do believe that someone has been watching over your whole life consistently with great love! Keep them coming mate! 😁 😁

This was a great story, really worth reading! Thanks for sharing, aussiedaz. I have had only one dream predicting my "future". I will probably write that up on another story. But, my goodness, is it weird to keep having premonitions? I for one would be kind of freaked, but grateful that someone is warning me about the future by showing me premonitions, especially if it saved my life. I loved reading your story. I am glad that you listened to your premonition, and I am glad that you are still alive.

Very interesting story! I'm so grateful you had that premonition and that it was enough to keep you from going down that road. Strange indeed, but lucky. I'd never had a dream where I "felt" death until last year. It was weird so I feel like I know what you mean when you describe it. In the dream I was looking out the window of my childhood home at a purple-pink sunset when out of nowhere an atom bomb dropped twenty feet onto the driveway in front of me. The blast was so intense it threw me into the air; I felt my whole body vibrating violently and it sounded like a train was going through my head. I remember feeling close to death and accepting my fate, thinking to myself in that split second, "So this is what it's like." Then I woke up.

Crazy, huh? Glad you're still with us and keep those stories coming! 😳

I'll make you a promise mate, you show up in the states and make it to Las Vegas, and we'll drive up and meet you there! Then maybe zzgranny and I can show you what a REAL Casino is like! I know they've got them all over the world, but listen mate, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, beats Vegas!
No offense to my beloved Reno, but pleeeeease!

LOL, back at you Mate, yes it is a depressing thought isn't it and we shouldn't over think it... I am a lucky man Jav... I sometimes don't realize how lucky I am to have the family and friends I do... There are some things left that are on my must do list and that is get over there and met you guys... If it's the last thing I do... Just hope its not the end of the train ride... πŸ˜†

Aussie,
No, I don't want to imagine that! Too many bad implications go with that thought. For one, losing the chance of ever having met my best mate. I think I'll stop wondering right there, if you don't mind. Now stop scaring me.

Thanks Jav, I'm only too happy to answer questions if I can... I have thought about my experiences for a long time and quite honestly wonder why some of them have happened... I don't do anything more deserving than the next bloke and no way I would cast a stone at a sinner... I think I was saved for my children, could you imagine the sliding door on their lives if I would have died in that accident.

Aussie,
That's probably the best explanation of the phenomenon you've experienced that I've ever read mate.
Stopped me dead in my tracks.

Hi Gizzy, Thank you for your thoughts, most of my premonitions have been through dreams... I do understand what your referring to in regards of feeling like something is going to happen... The only experience that comes to mind is when my daughter was once choking... I was outside playing with my two sons, when I just stopped what I was doing and felt a urge to go check on her... Luckily my wife was already there too as she had something stuck down her throat and my fingers were perhaps to big... Good question about why they have stopped?...perhaps my life is back on coarse and there's no need for them... Have you ever watched that movie with Gwyneth Paltrow (sliding doors) she missed the train by two seconds and her whole life was played out in two parts... One of them was pretty normal and the other ended in tragedy... I think at times this can happen to us and when it does our guardians/guides are there to help us get back on that train... Perhaps I'm back on? I'll mention another thing here that you might find interesting... Last year I was thinking of a change, I won't go into it it's a little personal... I was tossing and turning on whether I should go ahead and if I did... It would have impacted not only on me but also my family... I had no dreams or premonitions about this at all... But in saying that for the week or two whilst I was contemplating this decision... I believe someone was telling more directly than through a dream or premonition not to do it... There were these concessions of banging and knocking on my wall and sometimes real loud and desperate that didn't stop until I changed my mind and there was this one flash of perhaps what laid the future, but no premonitions at all... So yes, who ever it was is still probably sitting at the end of my bed keeping an eye on me... Thank you for replying. 😁

Hi Aussiedaz,

I always enjoy your stories they are so well told I feel that I am standing watching with one hand on your shoulder. Hmm Strange!
Did your premonitions always come as dreams or did you get flashes or feelings?
Why do you think they stopped? Is it because you calmed down and your Gaurdian angel is now sitting with their feet up having a well earned rest πŸ˜†.
I have had a premonition before that came as a feeling in my stomach and a physical barrier which is why I ask.

Jav, mate... Glad you asked the question, you know the one thing that sticks out the most about this dream that I'll never forget... And perhaps I should have elaborated more in my story... Was the feeling and emotions of death... That part chilled me to my bone, it was horrible if you could imagine the last few seconds of life under such circumstances well that is what I went through... Thinking I would never see my kids again and this was the end... Was the worse nightmare... What ever instrumented the experienced made sure I had a good taste of what's ahead if I didn't pay attention to the signs... So leading into the answer about how I felt when I heard the news... Yes it was bit of a shock but no I wasn't surprised, can't remember if I told my wife and just every detail of how I reacted... But I knew all day something was going to happen... It wasn't the first time one of these dreams changed the coarse of my life... Thank you bluey and keep working on the slang... Although be careful your friends over there don't become too confused hey... ❀

Thank you to all the others who replied your thoughts are most welcomed... 😁

Trix, I do believe you about your mum and grandfather... I use to dream about horse racing a fair bit when I was having those premonitions on a daily basis... It was crazy some of the stuff I was seeing, including wait for this one, if you'd thought your one might be hard to believe... I once dreamt the lotto numbers and never put them on... I actually jumped just before they were drawn and said to my parents at the time the numbers as they fell... Anyway so they reckon its not good karma to use this special gift for profit... Lol if I be honest If It was now?... Its a hard one, but I probably would put them on and give some to charity, lol and charity starts at home, I think I am more blessed to be given another go at life so I don't really consider it a gift but I appreciate your description and thoughts on it mate cheers... So sorry to hear about your dog, it is hard sometimes to validate these dreams until the event occurs, sorry again mate and thank you for your comment. ❀

Cosmogal, its always a pleasure to hear from you my friend and yes it wasn't my time... I think there are all kinds of laws between this world and the next... The one parallel rule that dominates both is Murphy's law... I think sometimes we do something different or against our initial instinct one day and the ripple is felt the next but not in the same place if you understand what I'm getting at... This is where I believe premonitions family guardians etc all get involved... I wonder about those who don't have the help that I did and others via dreams, perhaps they are what we know as souls with un finished business? Should there miss fortune not be prevented... Thank you for replying mate... ❀

Granny, I think it is well possible that our love ones are connected to these types of experiences, although I can't link anyone of mine directly to this experience as both my parents were still alive at the time, if you consider that there are over 4 billion people on the planet... Then there would be a need for family guardians to help maintain our journey and fulfil it... I wonder if what I was able to achieve in this story will one day allow me to help others after I'm gone? Or whether as you pointed out received it from someone who could... Lol thank you for your thoughts mate... ❀

It was just a really quick flash and that was it. I never know entirely what they mean until they happen. It's like when you hear your future or something. You know what it is, but even the smallest decision can change it.

When I got to the scene, the accident was only seconds old. No cops were called yet. There was an suv upside down with a guy trapped in it. The driver had just crawled her way out. Some idiot ran a stop sign, she said. I know "how could an suv tip over, they're pretty big."
The one who ran the stop sign had one of those big extended cab fords. I forget what they're called.

Brier, I'm all about premonitions, but how did you know that you would be upside down and trapped? Was another car in that position? I'm glad you didn't leave when you wanted to, but I don't understand how you knew what position you would end up in.

I also had a life saving premonition...well, it probably wasn't life saving, but it sure saved me a heck of a lot of trouble.
I was at the movies and when the film got done, I was about to leave. I got a feeling like maybe I didn't want to leave just yet. So I sat back down and waited.
Well, I avoided a really bad accident that could have had me upside down and trapped.

Aussie,
This is going straight to my favorites mate! And I agree with granny and the rest about where the premonition came from. It certainly wasn't your time and we're all glad of that. But I've got to know, when you heard that report over the news, did you get weak in the knees and have to sit down for a bit? I know I would have. It isn't every day that you come that close to meeting your maker, mate.
I do hope you notice how often I'm using the word "Mate", as I'm taking my oath seriously mate. πŸ˜†

Hi aussiedaz, I liked reading your experience. You are blessed a very special gift. If it wasn't for that premonition then what could have happened. My grandfather was like that and my mother. You will actually not believe me now but in 2001 she had a dream about the July horse race and none of us took it seriously. She didn't dream about the horse itself but she dreamed that a man knocked on the door and tell her his name and told her his shoe size. She compared the name with the shoe number to a July racing horse. That horse won. We didn't bet high because we didn't take it seriously because it's a dream although we knew her type of dreams comes true. Something very, very sad happened with me in March just because I thought I just had a dream. It wasn't. If I paid better attention to it I could have prevent the death that came to my beloved dog... Thanks for sharing this amazing experience with us. I would like to hear your other experiences also. Take care. Trix. πŸ˜‰

Aussie, I am thinking along the same lines as granny. (you know loonie minds think alike) LOL! I believe you received a little nudge in another direction from a guide or guardian angel. Like you said, it simply was not your time. I am glad you posted this experience. Thanks. 😊 ❀

I'm glad you were safe, I have been put to a near to death situations and I haven't got any warnings such as that in my dreams or what so ever, guess I'm just lucky or my guardian angel is a hard working one cause if not I would probably be dead right now.

I hope that the ability or gift that you have right now won't fade away. Be safe man, stay safe.

Aussie: Wow!...Sometimes I feel the premonitions we get come from some place other than our own minds, like from guardians or passed love ones... Do you recall anyone in your premonition that could have been a deceased love one possibly warning you?

Great account, mate!...Thanks for sharing ❀
