I agree, most cryptids or sometimes aliens don't want to be seen. But it didn't do a very good job, did it? I think stories where people see something that they know they shouldn't are really interesting. Like a glimpse into another world. Have you seen the about.com monster, cryptid and alien stories? They are wild! I'm heavy into researching cryptids as well. I love monsters. I really truly do. I've read and written a ton of stuff about them. I'm glad there are other cryptid lovers on this site.

I know about cryptids I've been studying them for a very very long time and this is why I said the color is really the only thing that is related to the Dover Demon (who is alien) I go with my instincts when I read stories. Sometimes I'm wrong and sometimes I'm right. MY instinct on this one says that is alien. But I don't know for sure. I also think that it was a mistake for him to see it. The creature didn't want to be seen.

Not all cryptids have been discovered and documented. That's why they are cryptids. Sure, it could certainly be an alien, I thought that too. I don't think anyone can tell the author what it definitely was because it, like ghosts, demons, and other paranormal things, is a complete mystery. I could have been a misidentification of an animal for all we know. Though the description was very good and it seems like there was good visibility. The Dover Demon is a good start, since it really doesn't have much of a defined face. It still doesn't mean it is anything that has ever been seen before. People see really strange cryptids and monsters all the time. Like, really far out descriptions. I believe this world holds more mysteries than we could ever imagine. That's why I think it was a monster, cryptid, whatever you want to call it. Sometimes I think they are more interesting than ghosts, because of their tangible quality. I agree with Miracles, that you should hunt for people in the area that maybe know about this creature. Maybe there is some good folklore behind it. Monsters are everywhere, we just have to look for them.

you seem to have seen some sort of alien species. It seems more humanoidsih rather than animal the way you desribed it. These are both energetic and physical beings. I would say that it was an alien related species. I don't have anything in my index of cryptids that looks like this. THe only thing that I have that matches the color to this being is the Dover Demon. But those only match in color to your account.

houseoffools - over the last year or so I have come to realize there is more to this world than just ghosts. I've learned that different cultures have different "beings" and just because I've never heard of them or seen them, doesn't mean they don't exist. I've also come to the realization that urban legends began somewhere. How far they've been stretched and where the actual truth began is a whole different thing, though.

So this creature you saw, have you tried googling it? I know that sounds kind of funny, but I've done that. Maybe you could try researching the area and see if there have been any "strange" stories of "animal" sightings. Newspaper archives, talk to old-timers, etc. The stranger the incident, someone might remember it and be willing to talk about it.

A monster! I love monsters! They come in all colors shapes and sizes. They can turn up anywhere and look like anything. I have read so many monster sighting stories that there is no way to categorize them all. A peach colored monster is something I have never heard of before. A monster with no facial features. That's something I've never heard of either. Whatever it was, it knows its way around the cliffs and must be an excellent climber. Monsters are great! You are so lucky to have seen one. I beleieve it was a true to life monster. Maybe a little spiritual and ethereal, but a monster nonetheless. I loved your story!
