Rook and Lou: Now ya'all did it...I'll be singing "Bang, Bang, Maxwell's silver hammer came down upon her head" and "can't touch this" all day πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

Rook,
Not really a bug band fan. He could probably find MC Hammer... I think he works at IHOP.
With any luck, Dan is better at being handy than I am. I literally put blood, sweat, and tears into every project I take on...ouch.
Now, Taz... Calm down... The thought of Dan in a tool belt could be too much for you.

Lou,

Would you be suggesting 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer"? I find that 'very helpful' in certain situations.

(I use one to help start the 'Bus' every once in a while.) πŸ˜‰

Respectfully,

Rook

You'll be fine, Dan. Grab a hammer and walk around pretending you are about to fix something, that Y chromosome will prevail.

Hippie,
This will likely sound off the wall, but have you had any other rodent problems?

Ooops! Sorry Hippychick. Didn't mean to clog up your thread here sweetie, you know I love you lady, and miss you with all my heart! ❀
You're a good mommy woman, and I'm just hoping this shadowman is in the past. I hate when kids get messed with, especially from something we can't see.
But I also thought of something else. What if this 'feisty rodent' creature was only presenting itself as a shadowman? After all, that's not the name you'd give a shadowman, even as a child. That's what got me thinking that it may have only done that for you're benefit. Finding out what would frighten you and using it. Just a thought.

Jav 😊 ❀

Mental note to self; in Australia a rat-sack is like American D-con...not to be confused with a hackey sack...although, hackey sacks made out of dead rats might be a profitable venture...

And DEFINITELY not like white castles tak-home-a-sack 0_O

Ummm...DARKNESS? You do realize that you just claimed not to have any gender issues but then turned around and wished there were more Loonie guys around as you're feeling outnumbered, right? πŸ˜†

In Australia we kill rodents with rat-sack, buy a bag and put it in your roof. Then if that doesn't work buy a rabbit trap, that sounds like huge rat. You need to nail that sucker!

wow hippiechick firstly I have only just put 2 and 2 together, that sweet kiddy in the video (n/p) with the interesting vocabulary and the other stories of yours on here are the same (see guys can have blonde moments too)
How awful for her having this happen.
Totaly agree with indigo, get her to call daddy when this thing turns up.
Have you ever asked her what it looks like? It might explain the name she has given it.
I hope it stops for her she is way too sweet to have that happen
Oh and must have been freaky for you to see that too.

My son and your daughter should have a play date... Lol

Wow, seeing the entity she is terrified about must have been seriously CRAZY SCARY!
I have been frustrated with the fact that I can't see/protect my son from things he claims to see and hear. Because you've always suspected that there was some form of life after death it must have been a little easier to comprehend what your daughter tells you. I still find it shocking every time my son says something out of the ordinary.

I must say, I'm impressed that your 3-year old knows the words "fiesty rodent". 😊 Seriously impressive vocabulary! I don't even think our 9 year old would think of those words. Clever girl!

ADragonstorm,
Drop Bear snacks? Do they come in a wafer or cracker form? Or are the like the gummies? Real soft and gooey when they're warm.

Hi hippiechick83, with this hat man you saw can you see facial features. I'm asking because I have seen a similar sighting but I could see he had white skin with black goatee and moustache and could see all of his facial features except the eyes.

[at] Hippychick,
Yep, I agree. Indigos advice is the best here.
I do have to wonder where Novi got "feisty rodent" though. It seems like a strange name for the thing you saw. That's why I'm wondering if you saw him the same way.

Aw, give Dan a break ladies... In the outback, its hard to tell which gender you are talking to... At least until they try to spit their tobacco juice.

I like Indigo's advice... Keeping dad in the loop will only empower her even more... And allow her to embrace him and their relationship.

Whatever this thing is, its brave. To show up unannounced at a DHS graduate's house in the middle of the night?...just looking for a smackdown;)

I've been watching the news HC, the Mohawk back under control yet?

Hey Dragonstorm,
Am I crazy or does it seem like lately DARKNESS has been a little over sensitive about the male/female gender stuff?

[at] DARKNESS ~ because women have much better fashion sense than to wear big long coats in the after life duh! πŸ˜†

And I agree they never seem to physically hurt or harm, but more just stir up fear, which I think they get their energy from, it would be interesting to know if they do this to simply gather the energy to manifest as far as they can to communicate, and the fear leaves the person running from the room without a message they may have received or if they do it purely for the enjoyment of it.

DragonStorm80: Stace what if it was a group of girls that wore Fedora hats and were up to no good spiritually eh eh! Hahaha πŸ˜† naa but a good theory I like it. 😊 The shadow people from my experiences don't tend to do anything physically bad but they do put out a lot of negative energy, and remember just because it is dark in colour doesn't necessarily mean it is evil, could mean it cannot manifest completely at the time. 😁

[at] Hippiechick, dude I am so mailing you some incontinence pads in case you have a next time to add to this story! I like Indigo's suggestion of encouraging your little one to ask for daddy's light/protection whenever she feels scared or worried, and even some basic light protection exercises to help her cope with things.

The figure you describe sounds like "The man in the hat and coat" figure that keeps popping up on this site, I never hear good things about this kind of apparition, I've wondered if back in the day there was a club of men that were up to no good, spiritually etc that when they passed on, passed their no good into the spiritual realm if that makes sense, but I digress.

You know the usual stuff with the white sage and lavender in the house, it may help to calm things down while you are helping the young one to be better prepared in case he tries to get more fear out of her again which seems to be what he is thriving on to me.

Heya Lauri, great account, what is really intriguing to me is why she calls it The Feisty Rodent that is really strange. The shadow person you seen sounds like the typical hatman shadow person which I'm sure you are quite familiar with. Indigo's idea about using the father figure to help her in that situation could be quite beneficial perhaps! We know very well Novi has a trememndous gift, I'm wondering if she will continue to keep this as she grows older, as you know we were all more sensitive to this stuff when we were younger. Hmm very interesting going to have another think about it I am! 😊 Thanks for another goodie!

No need trying that trick I told you about seeing things out of the corner of your eye, huh?
Jeeeeez! Does Novi see him like that?
You had to have been scared s---less.
I have to think about this one, I'll be back.

That spirit sounds very unsettling, and a lot like the one I experienced in my home some years back. Mine stopped "visiting" and I've moved out since, so I'm hoping yours does the same!

If it doesn't leave you alone, the first thing I always try is to speak your intentions to it. Let it know that it is not welcome in your house and that you are asking it to leave.

I see you live in New York. If that happens to be New York City and you are really seeking professional help, I'm very sensitive to spirits and could come take a look for you. Shoot me an email if you would like some help!

Hi hippychick! I have a suggestion. If you were to tell your daughter to call for daddy instead of being afraid, you'd start teaching her to fight back. This is a very important step in her life. Since she's already very strong in her abilities, and her father still comes to visit, now is the best time. Her confidence will grow tremendously.

Your daughter seems to have the gift of seeing entities but unfortunately not all are benign. You said your daughter nervously retreats from the room or shrieks in terror when seeing it. Based on a little net surfing I did its been said that shadow people feed off a persons fear, frightening people is something they like to do.I'm not sure how you would go about getting rid of a shadow person but perhaps some other posters here will be able to give you some help regarding this matter. Interesting story, thanks for shareing.
