I'm also trying to understand your belief that only evil is powerful enough to manifest. What about angels? Good versus evil. If one can manifest then so can the other. I don't want to believe that demons are powerful enough to do that but angels are not.

What if the soul of that child got lost on its way to Heaven? Shouldn't that soul be helped to find its way back onto the right path as you did yourself? Isn't that what Christ was trying to achieve and what he wanted his followers to work for?

Alan, respectfully, how do you explain Jesus' resurrection? Or even Lazarus? Christ brought Lazarus back from the dead. Do you consider these exceptions? I may be wrong but I'm trying to understand. From what you say, these could also be explained as demonic manifestations.

The sense that I get from this story is that the child was lost or kidnapped at the beach or perhaps drowned and never found. You describe the child's appearance in such a compassionate way, "bewildered etc" but then you turn and speed away.

You're quite welcome, Truth In Darkness. I hope you enjoyed the stories, regardless.

Alan - Obviously, you have strong beliefs. So, I'm not going to try to steer you away from them. I'll simply state that I do not share those beliefs and leave it at that. Thank you for responding to my questions.

TRUTH IN DARKNESS- At the time of these events, I was not studying the Word; inded, I was in active retreat from it, in the (mistaken) belief that God was angry with me.

Today, I believe that the Bible is the inerrant, living Word of God, and no amount of so-called "evidence" from people can convince me otherwise-it is 100% accurate, it does not self-contradict, and Jesus is Who He says He is, the Son of God, and God, the Son.

What if I told you that there is a possibility, perhaps even a probability, that the being we call Jesus was actually an extraterrestrial?

If you think about this with an open mind, it actually makes sense. Think about all of the other things that happened to a number of cultures between 2000 to 6000 years ago. Think about the symbols used in various cultures and their commonalities.

In my opinion, you can interpret many of the major biblical events as extraterrestrial and/or paranormal in nature. Think about it.

Alan - I might be somewhat askew of the mainstream, but I simply cannot believe that all "ghostly" sightings are demonic. Nor do I believe that all demons are evil.

I will repeat the (unanswered) questions that I asked you under a previous story:

"Why do you believe that (I assume all) "manifestations" are demonic? I guess I have to also ask why you initially did not have that view as well. What made your views change? I've read most of your stories and you rarely, if ever, mentioned anything as being demonic."

I was just checking new comments-hadn't noticed that feature before- and I noticed that someone asked why I seemed to be investigating these phenomena when, according to my belifs, they're just demons.

Y'see, I first came to the Lord back in 1978, a while after the "Spooky Compliment" episode. Due to a number of factors, I wound up wandering away from my faith, and getting back into my old habits. I spent almost twenty years in denial, until traumatic events, of which the occult played a part, caused me to re-affirm my relationship with Christ; this was late 1997.

The experiences I've submitted here took place between 1968 and 1991, before my return to Christ.

The Scriptures say that the dead are in either Heaven or Hell, and no where else. Also, we are told that demons can assume another appearance. Thus, we know that these things are demonic.

Like Moongrim suggested, I still think you should do an investigation; you never know what might have turned up. But I have a few questions for you.
(1) I have learnt from this site that demons can easily take the shape of a child and to some extend their emotions. But what made you think this child you sensed was a demon. Were you there long enough to feel any negative energy. Did you investigate?

(2) This question is about the comment that you made about spirits going to either heaven or hell and not roaming earth. I agree with you that spirits go to heaven or hell but what about the spirits that haven't found peace or have unfinished business on this earthly realm? Alandhopewell, I'm not questioning your faith and believe system, I just don't your way of thinking because of faith and believe system is so different from yours.

I don't know how I missed your stories (since you have 15 of them) but I'm going back to read them.

At the time, I had considered that, but I understand now that what we experienced was not the lost soul of a child, but a demonic entity.

I would not be suprised to discover a child, or children, had gone missing in that area in the past. However, the spirits of the dead do not roam the earth; they are either in Heaven or Hell.

I support [at] Moongrim's comment.
You could've have had investigative work. 😊
