Dear Shane, Yes, it is up to Martin, but I thought I would throw it out there, and see what you both thought anyway. Martin, you are free to use my idea ...some, all or none. I won't be the least bit offended if you don't either. I was thinking this way authors could have a choice of whether they wanted a response or not, as well as what type of a response.

I do feel that if people find this site that there is something within them that brought them here, even if their story is made up or taken from another. I do not want to sound like a sugary sweet Pollyanna, but I feel everything has a reason and is not just a coincidence.

Hi guys, I am not asleep, but I am not always checking my own web site either :P Sometimes when I am busy working (cough cough), I only check rapidly to delete rude comments. Anyway, I'm just about to start my jogging in the dark and the cold, just the way I like it (actually once I get in better shape, I'll go jog in a cemetery nearby, but it's too far right now). Well, I'd be worried about going so much off topic but this is Shane's story so I'm sure he doesn't mind ;) I just popped up to say I saved your comment Athena and I'll be taking your proposition under advice. Although I do already have a good list of to-do things when time is available, so that may not happen tomorrow.

About story posters not checking out on the comments, I'm starting to be more severe with stories that have no valid email addresses, which could be a sign of one post wonders or story fabrication. But to be honest, I find it difficult to refuse stories when they are decent and somewhat believable. You should read some of the more outlandish ones though, some people have a lot of time on their hands. We also have a lot of young posters with excruciating grammar (which I have to correct), and even though they are more likely to fabricate stories, they are also often the first ones to notice ghost activities while adults are in denial. It's not always easy to separate the real stories from others on the limit of the believable, so I err on the safe side and publish some anyway, leaving the good judgment of readers to decide. This is no exact science!

Dear Shane, You are right we need not get the cart before the horse, but to pace ourselves and learn at a speed and level that we are best suited. Everything comes to us in good time. Youth are always in a hurry, as I well know from my own experiences. Youth are already bombarded by so much within their young lives, and having such paranormal experiences and psychic gifts adds to the mix. I am not against helping the younger generations with the same things I experienced, but I also wish for them to stay young and to mature and learn at their own pace. With those who are given such gifts comes responsibility and with responsibility comes discipline, experience and ever growing wisdom and maturity. Hopefully, for any age. I do not mean to discriminate because of a person's age or youth, but as I said, everything "is" at it's own time. It always depends on the individual. I do not feel one size fits all. Yet, I do feel youth is wasted on the young. I mean this in a nice way. As it seems by the time we mature and truly "get it", it is time to plan for our departure. Ha,Ha! Sometimes, some of us never get it. Better luck next time, especially if you believe in reincarnation.

ultimately the end product would lay with Martin as this is his site and he is the one who has to work on it, but I think it would be a good idea. I am drawn to this site almost everyday, and it never fails to amaze me at the stories that are being told here, some of which I know are short of truthful and others, well all I can say is WOW! I try to respond mainly to the ones who seem to be asking for assistance, if others want a comment I would be more than willing to do that also, though some of them may not like what is said, though it would be said respectfully.

Dear Shane,

This came to me sometime ago and I would like to share it with you and Martin, what would you both think about having boxes to check within the story page of the authors? There might be two boxes, one box to check that reads as follows: "Please comment". A second box to check that reads as follows: "Please give advice" or check both boxes.
That way the author can choose as they wish. It is sad when many do not come back to reply to their readers. It is also sad when nobody replies to stories at all. Just a thought, but what do you both, especially Martin think of this idea?

Dearest Athena, it helps big time. I was just hoping that he wasn't trying to get us to teach him how to bind a spirit. I know of the text that tells how this is done, but I will not reveal its source to anyone. God has put people like you and I here for a reason. What that reason is only he knows. But I would like to think that it is to help those who request it.

Peace, Love, and Luck be with you Athena

Dear Shane, Well, I guess you know, so I will come clean, like all people I also have some psychic abilities. I am what I prefer to call myself a "sensitive" who wears everything on my sleeve along with my heart. I go on empathic "feelings". I am not always correct and will say so like now. Ha,Ha!

In regards to the Masteryofdarkness, I sense that a large part of his situation is due to his youth. He does have fears and self doubt, and bottom line I feel he is looking for a sense of balance and control in his life, as well as for someone to pay attention to him. I feel like he has wounds to bind, and the demons are within and not without.
That is my take on it. Hope this helps.

Athena, I have a couple of questions for you and the gift you posses. What is the true feeling you are getting off of the masteryofdarkness kid? Is he playing games, is he trying to get us to help him in binding a spirit? Does he know what he is truely asking for? I have a gut feeling about it, but I need your insight. Plus your kind words never go unappreciated.

Martin,

I am back, I don't know what I really did to fix the problem, but at least for the time being I am able to post messages again. Looking forward to reading more of the stories you publish here.

Hey Mike glad you found a way of dealing with those pesky spirits. I should have dealt with mine in a little nicer manner, but hey I was angry for having my sleep interupted for so long.

Peace, Love, and Luck be with you

Hey Shane! Just want to say that I have experienced a few moments equally to yours in some aspects. (not being able to move and speak, cold pressure feeling and sometimes I get to see spirits). I totally agree when you say that fear is like a magnet for these weird moments but at the same time as I get older this thing I have gets more complicated. Lucky for me I have a few freinds that are more into that area and help me out.
bye!

Janice, Actually I am going home for my vacation, you see I work overseas right now, on a small tropical island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. I haven't been home in a year and I am looking forward to spending time with my wife and daughter. Maybe going up to the old prison in mansfield Ohio and doing some ghost chasing there. Post more when I get back on the 16th of February, or shortly there after.

Hey Shane, your going somewhere? would it bother you if I ask you where your going? Well, hopefully when you get back, you will have new stories to tell, since your probably gonna be staying in a hotel or an inn or something like that and those places are the usually most haunted. Well, I also, like you, believe in God, but I'm not really the church- going type either as you say, but I still talk to him and he's still in my life.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Janice I don't know who the old lady was, and I can't remember if she had hair or not. Oh I believe in God also, I am just not the church going type. God and I have our own time together when ever I am out in his most spectacular church, the great outdoors. Martin, I think if it had happened to anyone else they probably would have done just as you stated. But I have experienced the paranormal enough to know that fear often is the driving force behind some of these encounters. I won't be posting again for awhile as I am going to be going on vacation for the next 5 weeks. I will post more when I return, who knows maybe I will have new stories to tell.

wow, Shane, that's very wierd, and to remind you, if you pray to God and say prayers not only when you experience things like that but always at night, then he will protect you from anything that could come wrong. Who do you think that lady was? no body, not even her hair? I would have been scared to death if I was you, seeing a floating head, wow, I would have screamed and run away but yet it's not good to be such cowards, being brave and just believing God can help you, can really help you overcome any problem. If you don't really believe in God, that's cool(and I'm trying to say this without being some kind of judge)because everyone has their own beliefs and nothing can change that. Well, great, scary story!!! I think it'd make a good movie!!! Well, enough blabbing away. bye!!!(one last thing, hope you can write more stories, they are fantastic, I'm really not trying to be pressuring or anything, so please don't think of me that way)bye again!!

I can't believe you didn't completly panic and went berzerk. You said you were mad when she asked you what to do, but I thought you handled yourself very well. I think it it goes to show that most ghosts are confused individuals and if they terrify people around, it's just their way of reaching to others, but we just don't keep our cool when the laws of physics that seemed to work for us so well for so long don't seem to apply anymore.

A floating face... jeez... that's a pants' crapper.
