Miracles, do we have a connection? I just sent you a note, two seconds before I came back onto YGS! That was strange!

Thank you for answering my question, now it Really makes sense (for me). 😁

It is so good to be 'back'. Thank you! πŸ˜†

Fergie - welcome back to the land of YGS πŸ˜† and thank you 😊

My brothers' experiences all happened before the flood. When the flood occurred, all us "kids" had grown up and out of the home. My brothers had both pretty much moved out of our home before they were 18. I sometimes wonder if that was why πŸ˜•

Thanks, Fergie, for popping in and reading. Glad you were able to make it back.

Oooh Miracles, I almost missed this! What with my PC going wonky on me etc. 😠

I have goose-bumps all over...omg, what a tale! I am so happy that the flood washed away the evil; and that you passed the 'test'!

I do have a question though... You mention that your brother (s) had bad experiences in that room; was that before or after the flood?

Thank you so much for sharing, there is a lesson to be learned here!

Miracles, Here's my theory on your account and you know I couldn't go away without leaving you one, or at least trying to offer an explanation as to what might have gone down on that night your had these unexplainable thoughts... You know when people play with those Ouiji boards and with in a short space of time, the answer indicators takes off and depending on the group... Especially if it's a few teenagers, the word Demon, kill, hate etc etc comes through and most of the group swear that it wasn't them and that it had to be something else for real?

IMO, On 90 percent of these accounts it is their own spiritual self that moves the piece around and not a separate source as such, basically because going in to it, it is what they subconsciously conceived would happen and the rest was a surprise to them or not really?... However, in the other 10 percent of accounts... Evil does interact with these groups and you can bet that a few of the stories presented here would be the real deal.

Our spiritual self, has a separate state of consciousness to our worldly one, that is the first point I'm trying to make here with my previous example and for most people, using a Ouijia board opens them up to that potential and beyond, but in your situation and because part of your gift is hearing them from across the other side... That other 10 percent I was referring too, didn't need you to play with an Ouijia board to attempt interaction...IT,they? Was able to communicate with you and guide your thoughts at ransom possibly with the intentions of oppression or maybe even possession at some later point... There is a dungeon of filth and evil minded people that exist in the interim realm call them demons if you like that feed of negativity and enjoy destruction of others, usually they can't interact with people here unless those fools go seeking them, but unfortunately on that night you had your account, conditions suited them, using your own gift as a means of manipulating your thoughts for your own self destruction, Really scary stuff mate!

Between having my back surgery and searching for a new job, I haven't had a change to come back to read the stories on this website. Funny thing was, I don't know what made me do it but the first story I selected was your story. I don't know what made me select it but I just did. I usually start at the bottom and work my way up.

Our mind in a weird thing, but physiology indicates that our body and mind automatically goes into a protection mode when it feels that something bad is going to happen. The easiest way for our bodies to forget the bad things in our lives is to suppress the bad things that happen to us. Another event will always have a way happening to bring the original memory back. I hope you understand what I are getting at.

Daz - sometimes there are experiences that we just don't want to recall, let alone share with others, aren't there? I think after seeing some of the comments here, maybe you're right... You should just keep yours to yourself. Then again... Maybe you'd be spared the negativity πŸ˜‰ Seriously, though, some of them are just too personal to share with friends, let along strangers, as friendly as the strangers have become.

As for my experience... Up until my brothers shared with me their experiences, I wondered if it was me... Something in me that called the evil to me. Was I evil? Even though I never had "those" kind of thoughts, was there something deep within me that would have made me do that? But when my brothers told me what they experienced, I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that it wasn't me. And let me tell you, I felt so relieved. OMG! To know without any doubt that it wasn't me after all was such a relief. Even though I told myself that if it was in me, that feeling, I would have experienced something like that again over the years and I hadn't. As bad as it was to know that my brothers also experienced it, I was glad. Isn't that awful? 😒

But the house is good now. Thank God ❀

triden - thank you 😊 I held off on this story because of a lot of the very reasons seen here. I knew it would bring some troll-like comments, but I was expecting them.

Sometimes, even though this should be a safe haven, it isn't. We are too many people, of too diverse personalities, cultures, religions, opinions, etc for everyone to be believed and accepted. I have read my share of stories that I don't believe and have called out many people on it too.

I do want to thank you for reading my story and leaving your comments. I appreciate them 😊

Darkness - yep, that furnace with no electric was a "wth" moment for me. I'd experienced some pretty strange stuff by then, but that one literally had me running up the road πŸ˜†

Up until cosmo mentioned the salt water, I don't think I'd thought about the "salt" part of it. The water washing away the evil, yes. But not necessarily the salt factor.

And I agree completely. Something dark and negative, especially considering I wasn't the only one who experienced scary crap in that room. Thank you, Dan 😊

Miracles, these types of accounts are not easy to share so I commend you on coming forward and being brave enough to put it on the table and before the general community at large... I have had a few of my own accounts that I choose to keep to myself probably for the same reasons as you and may never share them with friends aside let alone here at YGS... Although it's not entirely uncommon for people to have random off the cuff thoughts, granted unusual for you to have them so dark and it is possible, that random self suggested thoughts could cross those boundaries in such horrid ways to the norm of our usual moral standards and conscious mind generally... Especially being in your impressionable teens age, along with changing hormones/body and the emotional mind with it's complexity's associated to it... As much as it seems hard to comprehend then and now, it may be the logical answer to your account?... However, I do believe that your intuition on this, being a little more in hand with something evil is closer to the mark of what actually happen... Based on your following experiences with the paranormal and your time here at YGS you have now determine with that spiritual progress behind you, that what happened all those years ago, was a little more than a random thought out of the blue, as why I do understand your timing on this story... My own intuition on this story tells me, you are correct in feeling that something evil in that home had an impression on your thoughts back then and had you on the edge of terror, thank God you didn't follow through thank you for sharing.

Daz.

redwolf; I am with you 100 percent
I maintain that this is, to me, a wonderful platform to share this type of experience. No two people share the exact same view, so why bash someone for sharing something personal? Especially given the fact that most of society already ostracizes people for believing in the paranormal. It took a lot of guts for Miracles to post this, because it showed a spiritual vulnerability that an entity abused, and I applaud her for breaking free of its hold before it was too late.

It is both sad and maddening that people like that TROLL intrude on a platform that he doesn't believe in to begin with, and then degrades people for what they do believe in.

I would have done the same at that age lol. Before I read everyones comments I was going to comment on the water purifying the stained land it does make a lot of sense there is a lot magic associated to the basic elements and water being one of them it does not surprise me one bit!
I feel there was some very negative and dark influencing going on within the home at the time. I'm glad god or some divine intervention straightened you out my friend! 😊 Thanks again Miracles!

Perfect alias because the joke IS on you. Never once did miracles deviate or waiver from her story, She mentioned that Hexahydrite is found in the water in the creek that flooded her house. Then Lou starts in by saying Hexadrite is toxic to fish. He also starts in about another persons story being very similar to her story 2 days before her posting hers. As she said she posts stories when she feels the time is right. Who are you to say that the first story didn't bring up some strong emotions and she felt the need to post hers?
How about a new rule. You don't like a story don't comment and start an inquisition. This is a place to write about experiences. Not a place to be criticized and ostracized, People who do that are TROLLS and are not welcome here. As a friend used to say. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here.

Kryodrache: That's what I was thinking, not a possession per se, but along the lines of what ljsniperz said, "that a entity of "any kind" - demons,ghost,etc./whatever you want to call them, can influence you or lead you to do something you will regret."...More of an influence than a physical possession...

That is very strange indeed. It could have been base human instinct, but... Those are generally primal knee-jerk reactions, it wouldn't have been as subtle and detailed as going down to get a knife, and certainly for not that long of a time...

I think there might have been someone with you that night, then, alongside your own conciousness, guiding you along like that. That's so creepy!

well I know, even though I am young, that a entity of "any kind" - demons,ghost,etc./whatever you want to call them, can influence you or lead you to do something you will regret.
From my experience (believe it or not) a lady that went to my church when I was just a child, bothered with an Ouija board, she started hearing voices - one convinced her to kill herself. Sure enough, we went to her house, he hung herself. On her bed was a note, I don't remember clearly, but this is what I remember-"the boy in the bored told me god didn't love me."
So be careful what you do - i'm sure you will be fine, you are an adult, you have more experience than me.

I think that flood did you a favour and washed the evil away and only kept the good ones. I probably would have moved with or without my family, if I had to go though that at a such young age. I guess the saying, what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger. In this case, it sure did! πŸ˜†

Kryodrache - I've never studied possession, even after this happened, so I can't tell you whether or not you are wrong. All I do know is I was asleep and had been for awhile (this would be the perfect time to throw in the 3:00 am thing, but I can't πŸ˜†), when I was told, influenced, persuaded...really, any of those words would probably fit... To get up. I was not myself until my hand was on the handle of that knife. I "knew" where I was and what I was doing, but it was more like I was there, but not there. Does that make sense? My body was there, but my mind was not I guess. Until my hand was on the handle of that knife. Then "I" was back.

Is this a typical possession? I have no idea. I'd never experienced anything like that before and haven't since.

JoyBells - "raising tables" is what I heard it called when I was younger. I think the more appropriate term might be "table tipping."

When I was around 10, I knew of a woman who was rumored to be able to do the same thing. I always, in my mind, imagined the table literally raising off the floor. I've never seen it done, so I don't know exactly LOL

Lou - okay, finally...I'm home and the little boy has been fed, so I can sit down and address my adoring fans;) Sorry, just couldn't resist. Sometimes I find the strangest things humorous LOL.

Mmmm...let's see, where to begin? The most bizarre place I guess. You have an issue with how many stories I have submitted? Seriously? LOL Wow. Now that I find funny in an odd sort of way, but funny nonetheless. I am 47 years old and have 24 stories submitted. Hmmm... Guess what? I still haven't shared all of my experiences on here LOL. And if it makes you feel better to lump my story in with the "demon lovers and possession want-to-be's" go for it.

Now, I'm assuming that means you don't believe my stories. Okay, don't read them. It's pretty much that simple. Like Simply Ghost Nights... If you don't like or believe my stories, don't read them. It really doesn't matter to me. But understand this. I am not someone who is going to try and convince you or anyone else that my experiences are real. I've never lied about them before, I'm certainly not going to start making them up now.

As for why I submitted it just days after Alan's was published, I thought that was self-explanatory? Nothing secretive about it. As a matter of fact, I alluded to it in my comment on his story. I had a similar experience, so the timing seemed right to finally submit it. By the way, Lou, I did the same thing after one of your stories. Remember? Sometimes I just wait until I feel it's the right time to submit an experience.

Oh, yeah, I can't take credit for the "miraculous" timing of my story being submitted within days of Alan's. There are other mods besides me who have been editing and publishing stories. Apparently we've been doing a pretty good job πŸ˜†

And speaking of this story, hmmm...let's see. From your statement, I guess you have either phone numbers or email addresses of my friends and you've been in contact with them and asked them if I've ever shared this story with them before? Right? By the way, I won't ask my friends to "raise their hands" as proof, because neither they nor I have anything to prove to you or anyone else. It wouldn't have mattered if I had never told anyone associated with this site about this experience before now. It wouldn't have changed the fact that it still happened, now would it?

I don't like arguing, Lou, so I basically avoid it unless I have to. And it normally takes a lot to really piss me off. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I have a 4-day weekend, and I have so many things in my life that I am thankful for. This? This is a difference of opinion between two faceless people on computers, which has absolutely no bearing on my life. I'm good πŸ˜†

But Lou? One last thing before I go. Where did I or Alan say that I reviewed and printed his story? πŸ˜‰

Quit chattering on the branches of the tree like an angry squirrel, TheJokesonu, we don't want any of the acorns you are chucking at us. They are all foul and rotten.

I think in a true posession, one cannot remember what they've been doing or anything that led up to that point; from what I understand, most instances people remember nothing but a black-out. Don't quote me on this, cause I've never seen this in person, nor had it myself. I do believe harmful spirits can convince people, however, to do something against their nature.

We'd be most susceptible to it during our sleep, or during a weak moment where we aren't totally there in our heads. Distracted, tired, whatever. Then the spirit can have a chance to step in and grab the reins, so to speak, at least by a little bit. I've done things before and not really known why, normally when I'm out-of-it or disjointed.

Of course it could just be an unbidden part of a hidden personality. Perhaps you were experiencing a deep frustration of some kind and not acknowledging it. Some people wont' agree with me but I believe humans are naturally violent; it's part of our species, as a pack animal and a living creature, to be that way. Hence why sometimes I'll get the passing thought to just randomly strike someone or something. But those urges can be passed off more easily the more awake you are, and the more effort you can put to stowing away that thought the instant it pops up.

I hope this makes sense o_o

Hi all
Am I wrong or is this supposed to be a "safe space" for people to share their experiences? Since when is it ok to bash someone and tell them they are sick and need psychiatric help? I agree with Rook, we def have a TROLL here. Do you have a degree in psychology TheJokesonu? What gives you the right to judge?

Miracles51031
I believe you one hundred percent. The fact that spirits can cause you to become so scared and uncomfortable that you run out of your own house, supposedly your safe space, makes me believe they have the power to affect us psychologically as well. BJJ - had my response composed and my computer shut down 😭 Not just once, but several times! Anyway, no way can I recreate what I was saying so I'm going to have to wing it.

As much as I was terrified of that house, seeing the water up to the roof broke my heart. But...I'm also glad for the flood. I definitely think it did something to clean out the evil in there.

As my sister and I grew up and out of the house, our younger brothers "inherited" that bedroom. Over the years, my brothers and I, and our parents, have discussed our experiences growing up. Both of my brothers had truly terrifying experiences in that room also. But those are their experiences and I don't feel right sharing them. Not even in my Journal. (How good are you at reading between the lines right now? πŸ˜‰β€)

Wow Miracles that is just about the creepiest thing I have heard in a long time. It could have been that whatever influenced you that night was aware of your abilities and tried to take full advantage of that. I am so glad God stepped in. ❀

clever - thank you and I have to say it's definitely one of the creepiest things I've ever read too 😐

There have been many times lately that I wondered why I never experienced anything else like that. I've just come to the conclusion it's because I passed some kind of test that night. Not to make light of the experience, because I certainly don't, but I kind of feel like Galadriel in LOTR when she didn't take the Ring when Frodo offered it to her. Like I said, not making light of it at all, but I do feel it was a test... And I think I passed.

Miracles, I don't know how you managed to keep it together through all that but I'm glad you did.
And I'm glad for that flood. It may have made a physical mess of the place, but it sounds like it provided a much needed spiritual cleansing

This is definitely one of the creepiest encounters I have read in quite a while. I am really glad that you did not experience this again! 😨

RedWolf - To be completely honest, I'm not sure how I handled it. I suppressed it, I guess πŸ˜• I don't ever remember telling myself it never happened, though.

As for my mom cleansing the house, that is a great thought, but I don't think that's the case. My mom is a skeptic 😊 But it could be that the evil left on its own.

As for the other residents, I think they came after the flood and they're the kind we like to have. Gives my dad company during the day πŸ˜†

Sceptic-Ari - thank you 😊 I never wanted to share this experience because it was such a horrifying one for me. Several times over the past year and a half I've thought about it, but changed my mind. Last night, after submitting it, I changed my mind again πŸ˜† Oh well...

My sister believes that there is no such thing as ghosts. She stands by her religion, which I won't get into because it is not how I believe.

I, on the other hand, believe in ghosts πŸ˜‰ So my sister and I agree to disagree and not talk about it LOL

Granny - my sister ❀ Hmmm...yeah, my sister. The only two times we have ever talked about anything concerning ghosts, the house, etc she told me she never experienced anything (which completely blew my mind btw... How could someone have slept in that bedroom for years and NOT experienced something?) and then she told me she didn't want me to ever talk about those kind of things in front of her kids. So, because I love my sister, we don't ever talk about anything like that. I believe her, though. She says she never experienced anything. I believe she didn't.

marvis - thank you:)

LakotaWinyan - even today, 31 years after it happened, I still haven't told my entire family. There are just some things you know not to tell some people. My mom, my youngest brother and my aunt (not the one featured in the story) are the ones I "confessed" to one afternoon when my brother and I were sharing stories about the house. My mom and brother took it a lot better than I ever thought possible. My mom didn't say a whole lot, my brother understood. My aunt flipped out and called both my brother and me liars. Lots of stuff there that I prefer not to get into LOL.

Miracles
That was a scary/creepy story. How did you handle keeping the secret of the voice telling you to kill your family and then you went and got the knife?
Thank God you woke up.
Maybe your mother found a way of cleansing the house as the renovations were being done. Or Uncle Jake left on his own accord because he didn't like the renovations.
I hope no other spirits have decided to take up residence in your house.

Dear Miracles,
Although this was torment to you, still it is going into my favs. Its just the way you told it... I could feel it in my veins when you said that the voice told you to kill!
Queries:
How do your sisters and your beliefs differ about ghosts?
Second, how did your family react when you told them you almost killed them?

Thanks for sharing...
Regards

Miracles: Wow, holy crap, WTH, and everything that goes along with it πŸ˜†...I don't even know what to say, that had to be really scary... One thing's sure: you couldn't blame it on the music you listened to, video games or being under the influence of drugs... Did your sister have any strange experiences at all?

This is just creepy 😨
