Fergie,
I read your story yesterday but never got a change to post my comments... Pretty please next time you post a story like this issue a tissue warning, I was crying.

Like granny would like to say, Coincidence? I think NOT! Both you and eldest daughter got signals from Angel telling you that she will be there to guide and protect you and the family and I have no doubt in my mind that Angel will be there for your granddaughter also.

Such a sweet story. I too, have lost a child and the 'first' of everything is so terribly hard. But, I can tell you this; it does get easier with time.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I got me some warm fuzzies from it - and a wet tissue. 😉

Fergie, your reply warmed my heart. Sunday is my dad's birthday and I have been thinking about him a lot of late. He was only 46 years old when he left us. Ok I was 19 at the time and could handle it better, thanks to the help of my first wife who I married young when I was just 18 (we were childhood sweethearts as they used to say and knew each other and were best friends since we were both 10). But my brother Charlie was 12 and my sister Veronica was only 8. It hit them so hard. Especially Ronni (my sister's nickname), she has never quite got over it and it will be 20yrs in August.

Doctor's make me hot under the collar. They also misdiagnosed my son Jason being born deaf in his left ear from birth due to a birth defect (no functionally formed eardrum) and tried to tell us the reason that he couldn't hear us properly was that he was only being naughty and pretending not to, to try to get away with things that he supposidly didn't hear us tell him no. It wasn't until we demanded to get him to a specialist that they worked out what was really wrong. I'm glad I didn't take the advice of the doctor... Which get this was to smack him until he stopped ignoring us. All that would have done in his condition would be to traumatise him. And have him still not understand why he was being hit due to lack of hearing. He now has a hearing aid in both ears to help balance out the sound and since getting them he has had no problems with doing as he's asked. Thankfully only his hearing isn't good. He's very bright and a quick witted, quick learner. I can't imagine how bad It could have been for him if we didn't ignore the stupid doctor.

I favorited two of your stories, the ones to do with Angel. As they much deserve favouriting. I'm glad I have a box of tissues on my home office desk.

Ive submitted a story last week. But haven't seen or heard anything. Except the email saying this site got it. I hope it is up soon too. I guess the site people must be busy right now.

I try to be sensible. I just do what I can and think a lot over before I post anything. Trying a lot to not hurt anyones feelings. But that's just the way I am, I'm to old to be any different now.

Sebastian.

Hi Trix, Thank you for reading, and your lovely comment. It is very comforting to have Angel watching over us - to know that she is still around.
I have a feeling that she will be keeping a close watch on Shenay.
Be well my friend, and look after that hubby of yours, please.
God bless you both.

Sebastian, sorry for your tears... In this household, it is no crime for a man to show emotion, no matter what age.

Thank you, you seem to know exactly what our feelings were that day; the "first" of everything, is always the most difficult, after the passing of a loved one.

I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I can understand your anger at the doctor. We felt the same way. I am sure that misdiagnosis of such serious matters, have caused many deaths. I too, saw that attitude at Angel's doctor - "Here, take a handful of pills and get some rest!" And they take an oath, before they can practice? What - an oath to get rich quick?

Thank you for deeming my account worthy of being one of your favorites - I am honored!

I hope to see one of your accounts up here soon; you sound like a very sensible guy! 😊

Thank You Granny! That whole scenario, starting before Xmas, was just meant to be! Eh? If I hadn't read your account AND remembered it... This whole thingie may never have come together! It is so strange, how a person or persons can be pulled, pushed and almost forced into a situation by a higher power; and thereby learn from it. 😲

Yes Granny, Nicky has her fair share of encounters, but she has always got an excuse, when it comes to writing them... I will try to persuade her, once more.

Shenay was the only one looking forward to Xmas, last year. Nicky had tentatively asked, couldn't she cancel Xmas? But a child is only a child for a short time... Why spoil it for her?

Nicky and I wish to thank you once again, for the part you played in this narrative, without you, it wouldn't have been possible. ❤

I am so glad that we could help you out emotionally at that time, as you did for us. 😁

Fergie, this story made me cry and I'm a grown man of 39. It is funny isn't it how sometimes those who we have lossed and who have crossed over, still let us know they are still around. I'm sure your Angel just wanted you to know that she misses you still and that she is there to celebrate Christmas with you, Ray, Nicky and Shenay. And to have her call to you and leave little feathers, it warms your heart. She knows you miss her so she is clearly doing what she can so its not so hard on you to not have her there anymore. I think its great to how when you had your breakfast together at Christmas you kept looking at her photo, like you were making sure she still felt included.

After reading this story. I went to read your others as I'm new on here and hadnt read any of them before today. The story "Knocking on Heaven's Door" had me breaking down again, as it reminded me so much of my own Dad who died from Bone Cancer in 1994. He was also misdiagnosed as having a badly strained back for months until one morning he just couldn't get up, his legs wouldn't take him standing and he wasn't fat or unhealthy so they had no reason not to. Only after my Mom called an ambulance and he went to hospital and had tests did they realise he had cancer in his spine. It was pressing hard on the nerve so he couldn't stand anymore. The doctor tried to tell us he had no idea. But he also didn't try to find out anything either after my dad had gone to him some 9 times in 4mths complaining of problems. My father never left the hospital he died less than 2wks later, I was 19 and angry that a Doctor could dismiss someone so easily when they come for help so many times for nothing. I just can't understand how they can be so like "Here's some pain killers. Take them when it hurts. You'll be ok" without doing anything like x-rays or other tests.

I have favourited this story. As I think its brilliant.

And I have read zzsgranny's one to, its fanstastic.

Sebastian.

Fergie: Thank you for another heart warming account ❤. I'm happy to have been a small part of yours and Nicky's experience. You don't know how much it meant to me at that particular time of the year. I have to tell you, I was not feeling the "holiday spirit" at all.

I hope some day we can get Nicky to submit her experiences, as I understand from our e-mails that she has had her share LOL! ❤

JennZ, thank you for your condolences, and the honor of marking my account as one of your favorites.

Nicky was thrilled, when she too had a sign from her little sister. Who can blame her?

No worries Fergie...I'm an Empath and as practiced as I am sometimes the emotions still get through. You did convey the 'Warm Fuzzy Feeling' very well.

Respectfully,

Rook

Rook,

My abject apologies... I didn't realize this was going to be a tear-jerker! I should have been more considerate. The 'warm and fuzzy' feelings, were what I meant to convey... Not all the rest of my emotional baggage.

Thank you Rook, for reading, glad you liked it. 😊

Fergie,

Ummm, Fergie... As a WARM FUZZY experience goes this is right up there with the best of them, but you forgot one thing... The dang blasted tissue warning. (I couldn't tell you why but I teared up reading this...) Thanks for sharing.

Respectfully,

Rook
