The thing about your child saying he picked you, I've heard that idea once before from a psychic named Silvia Brown. I'm not sure if she's a 'real' psychic or not, but she did mention being able to chose your parents beforehand. And the language, that is weird, it doesn't sound as if it is a foreign language does it? I do a bit of UFO research and some cases or alien 'abductees' claim to know another language that is expressed using other forms, like clicks of the tongue, talking real fast, and noises similar to humming not quite like it though. This is a very interesting case, unfortunately I can't provide any definitive answers, but if you are unable to find help with this, wait until your son grows up and watch his progress, things maybe become clearer wants his mind reaches the state where you're able to separate imagination from reality.

Now I'm just getting loads of comments of random people who are getting involved and its nothing to do with them.

At the Pentecostal moments, Lisamaxw?
So, in YOUR life, you can UNDERSTAND it, but NOT speak it? That is interesting. Though NOT unbelievable. I can follow a spoken Spanish dialog (NOT written), but there is NO WAY I could carry on my side of the conversation.
There are times in which I just sit back and absorb what is going on in his life. I can do nothing else. I have a great support group, but unfortunately, all they can do is watch as well.
Oh, I am blessed EVERY day that I am granted the opportunity to hold my little guy near. I have been given a beautiful gift, through him, that I am just going to have to learn how to share. 😊
Thank you for reading my son's story.

Hi Whitebuffalo. What a wonderful little man you're raising! Your story reminds me of something that happened to me, several years ago --

When my niece was a little over a year old, she was toddling past me when she stopped, looked at me, and clearly said, "I'm looking for my blanket, Aunt Lisa. Have you seen it?" I told her where it was, and she said, "Thanks. I love you!" I watched her toddle off and then glanced at my mother-in-law, who was staring at me as though I'd grown another head. "How long has Elisabeth been speaking?" I asked. "You understood what she said?" my mother-in-law replied, startled. "Of course," I said, and then told her, verbatim, what my niece had said. My mother-in-law stood there, agape. "She was speaking gibberish. I didn't understand a word of it." So I asked my sister-in-law, "How long has Elisabeth been talking?" My sister-in-law replied, "What are you talking about? She can't speak yet."

Yet I had understood Elisabeth (my niece) PERFECTLY. She was completely clear. In fact, I remember being a little awed by how articulate her diction was. Later, I realized that she had been speaking a spiritual language -- and even more amazingly, I HAD UNDERSTOOD IT.

I've heard "spirit language" at two other points in my life -- during epiphany-type moments -- as well. Both times, I knew that the language was NOT English or Spanish or French (the three which are most familiar to me), yet it was somehow recognizable to me. I can't speak it now, if I tried. But I could completely understand it at those "Pentecostal moments."

What's so amazing about your son is that he seems to be able to communicate consistently in the spirit-language, at will. Usually, it comes and goes, like the wind, with the Holy Spirit. Very cool story.

Believe it or not, Katie, I HAVE read through many of your experiences on that web site. I am also a member, I just do not comment there. As I have an issue with labeling myself as a psychic, or anyone else in my family, for that matter, I feel that it would be hypocritical of myself to post an experience.
The stipulation for posting an experience there is: "if you have experienced any kind of psychic phenomenon or are a medium yourself, please submit it". As I CAN NOT state that the experience, or I am what the rules mandate, I can not do so.
Off subject, but why do you not check out my profile page there? I think you MIGHT be surprised at what you read. My name is the same as it is here.
I DO understand that your dreams were your link to the worlds. I DO understand that IN THEM you were afforded the opportunity to catch glimpses of what was to come (if I am not mistaken, in THAT experience, you MAY have been granted sight of your future son. Is that not right?).
Having had five children to raise (three of them being bond children, and not born OF me), I think I have a pretty good grasp of what is going on in the developmental stages of them. Having one Grandchild already born, and two more on the way, I think I am old enough to see certain signs. Having helped my 16 year old through a rocky childhood filled with things both of us were not yet prepared for, and learning THROUGH her that some of the things WE experienced seemed to come from another "place" helped to prepare me for the son that I speak about in this story.
Helped me. But his powers far surpass anything that my daughter and I experienced up until that point.
Personally, I can not recall my past lives. I can not remember the Other Side. I can not bring to mind the names of my mentors there, or even what they looked like.
But he can.
I have been taken BACK there. I have been REINTRODUCED. But, in my adult mind, I can not call up the memories. That is why I was curious as to how you knew at what exact age you became a psychic.
According to my son, he always has been able to see what others can not. He has always been able to travel to places I dream of. He has ALWAYS been the same way he is at this moment.
THAT is why the exact age made me curious.

As for the comment you made to me on YOUR page...
We ALL want someone to understand us. We ALL want people to see what we are going through and be able to nod their heads and say "Yep. Been THERE.", but the whole blasted truth in the matter is that we MAY have SIMILAR experiences, but unless there are two people side by side while something is occurring, NO ONE has the SAME experiences. Even if there ARE two people in the same experience, what they take OUT OF IT can differ immensely.
The important thing is that "we" HAVE to stop the bickering among "ourselves". We all came to this site with our own intentions. Some came with the hearts of seekers, wanting to know MORE than what they felt they did. Some came with the intent to see if there IS the possibility as ghosts out there. Some came simply for the enjoyment of a good story. But we are all here, in this little family, to HELP one another. Or so I once thought.
I have said it before, and the same truth stands. We all run scared at one point or another. It is just a comfort to know that there is a place for us to run TO.

Like When I was 3 months old it was like I had a brain of a 9 year old. 9 year old know exactly what is happening around them but a 3 month baby doesn't. I still remember things at that age. I have a really good memory. From that age my dreams would tell me everything so I started to rely on them. I got put into a foster home when I was 3 months old. I knew what was going on around me and I knew what happened. I understood at that age. Most babies wouldn't know what was going on. I called my dollies names random names which just popped up inside my head which I never heard of. They were names of people I were gong to meet in the future. Here I am with people who have those names.

I would be interested in knowing how you know you have been psychic since the age of three months, PrincessKatie. That is interesting. Around here there is no test, that I have heard of, to determine the age of the commencement of psychic ability.
I do not really KNOW that my son is psychic. He does and says some things that seem to be a premonition of things to come, but nothing has been "proven" to be unquestionably a psychic seeing.
He knows things from the past as if he has lived them, and he can spin a tale to make you feel the emotion of the moment and let you KNOW that he MUST have been there. In the PAST he is firmly planted, and AT TIMES he seems to understand what is to come.
I do not want to project my own fears and illusions of what he is, or is to become, but I must say that living in such close proximity with someone of his supposed "intellect" is quite an experience.
Thank you for reading my tale.

Welcome to my page, mesa25.
As a seeker, I pray that you find what you seek. There is an abundance of resources in the pages of this site. If you are a researcher, as I am, you have reached paradise!
I really am not as composed as most seem to think me to be. I run scared, just like everyone else at times. I sit with my head in my hands in frustration. And I question my decisions, as well.
Keep reading, keep looking. You WILL find what you need.
Thank you.

Hello Whitebuffalo, I am new to this site and have been spending a lot of time reading through stories searching for answers myself. I commend you for your grace under fire and composure while still having the stones to say what so desperately needed to be said. Your story and your son are wonderful. You sound like an extremely strong woman. I will keep on reading. Thanks for sharing such a powerful life with others.

Thank you, as well, illusionation.
I DO think he is able to determine the difference, and always HAS been able to. There are just too many factors that point in the right direction.
I checked out what you suggested, and I tell you my head was spinning with the similarities. You were exactly right, he is "textbook", with just a few twists. Who is to tell, maybe he is to rewrite some of those "text books" 😊. Very telling, thank you again.

I had to take the evening off, but reading through my last comment, I realized that I forgot to mention something. There are times when THIS son comes up to me in the morning and says "I had a dream last night, Mama. Wanna hear it?"
I REALLY find it hard to imagine that he can determine a dream from reality, but can not determine that his dreams are NOT real. I know that sounds a bit like a riddle, but think about it.
He wakes, comes and tells me he had a "dream" (his words), IF he thought them to be reality, and REAL, he WOULD say something to the effect of "Guess what happened last night, Mama?" That is what he does after a vision, or a day at school.
I apologize for getting a bit "puffed up" in my last comment, but I have a tender spot for all of my children, and I feel that if I can not lovingly guide them through all that they experience, maybe I am not the Mother I need to be, and took your comment, Wildone, as an attack on my character.
Perhaps I took it the way it was meant, perhaps not. But it is not for ME to tell you how to feel when reading through other peoples stories. I also SHOULD have welcomed you to this site, which I did not.
So, Welcome.
Also, EVERY comment is welcome, NO MATTER how it makes me feel πŸ˜†. Only I can determine if I give the words someone else writes, the power to short circuit my emotional stand.
Thank you for your comment.

thats silly.
When I was 3 I knew the difference between dreams and real life.
I know this because I remember them. I remember dreams I had before I could even talk properly.

Hello Wildone (Well done, or Wild one?!)
WHY would I even do that? Why would I tell him to distrust his eyes, his past and all that he has become as a result of it? WHY would I tell my son that he is something that he is not?
As a matter of fact, I have five children, one Grandchild who has been born, and two more on the way. I DO believe that I am a good example of truthfulness for all of my children. I do not think THIS son needs a mentor to help him process through what it is that he THINKS is the truth, but it ONLY a dream.
There is a distinct difference between BEING an old soul and HAVING an old soul.

I can not help but wonder, after going off like that...
Are you playing the devils advocate?
Wildone (guest)

Astonishing.
Let me ask you this. Have you ever told your son that there was no way that he could have seen you and your husband before he was born? If you did, what did he tell you?
Children's imaginations are interesting to say the least. Things that they dream can sometimes become reality in their minds. If the same dream occurs several times, they assume it to be a real thing. Do you think it possible that he is DREAMING all of the things that he tells you?
How many children do you have? Do you have others that could help him with the difference between the truth and a lie? You are too close to the source, maybe he needs a different person to step in and trick him into telling you what is really going on.
Otherwise, I would have to say that he DOES have an old soul. Don't we all?

I remember hearing this one story, about this indigo boy... Who told his parents stories about his 'past lives'... They were so vivid, he even knew the names and places of the people, his family. His parents decided to take it a step further, they searched for these people, and FOUND them. I think it was in India. Anyhow, he was dead on. They met the family he was talking about, and the child told them things, only that person could have known. It was truly amazing.

illusionation. Text book, huh?
I will have to check that out, thank you. All that you said I "may find" is already true. He comes up with some stories, with names, and places that are simply amazing. Truly.
At first, we thought to "trap" him. πŸ˜‰ When he was done with his story (some taking fifteen minutes, a long time for one so young) we would ask him questions straight out of the story. He answered them all, confirming what it was that he already said (unless he had a photographic memory, that would not be possible considering some of the questions we asked.)
He does not like mirrors. He will not look into them unless we ask him to please look in it and tell us if he likes his hair, his eyes, his clothes etc. And when he DOES, it is only to check out what it is that we have asked him to look at.
Interesting. Thank you so much for giving me something else to look into.
From the bottom of my heart, Thank you.

You also might find him having memories that to you, are completely irrational, aka they didn't happen during 'this' life.
But to him, they are completely real, he may look in a mirror one day, and say, this isn't my face!
This has to do with him having an old soul.
As he probably does, have a very old one!

It sounds to me like he could be an Indigo child, or Crystal.
Do some research, it makes perfect sense to me.
Indigo/Crystal children usually have a problem when it comes to learning to speak, being as they don't need it, they understand on a different level. Also the old soul part, they are like little grown ups... AND the choosing you as his parents, I have heard that from so many other indigo/crystal children.
They are also known to be able to communicate with angels/ghosts, that are said to watch over them.

He really sounds like a textbook Indigo.
Do some research, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Hi, rstahley.
I am so happy to have you back on my page. To be completely honest with you, you are not the first to admit that you first thought that I was a male.
I was actually ceremoniously given the name of White Buffalo Calf Woman (LIGHT emphasis on the calf woman part. It is a different meaning than the legend.)
It means that I am supposed to go through my life as a child (or "childlike"). THAT, to me, is the only way to go (so in that aspect, the name fits). To innocently look at every aspect of living, and to approach everything as it is intended; To be a learning experience.
The Great Spirit truly HAS blessed me. I have an understanding (if not at times a bit frustrated) Life Partner, I have five beautiful children, two glorious grandchildren, and a daily walk with Him. What more is honestly needed in life?
Thank you for your thoughts.

Hello, HazzardSyndrome. Thank you so much for your kind words. He IS our angel (as well as the other four in our family 😊). Now that he is five... Wow. He has revealed SO much to us since the posting of this story. In fact, I wrote about just a couple of his "miracles" on this site. He is truly amazing, and teaches us new things on an almost monthly basis. I believe that he is firmly rooted in BOTH realms, and he is an interesting "study" for me.
Thank you for commenting.

This is one of the first stories I read when I first entered this site, and I completely forgot about it and never noticed that you are the one who wrote it. I've constantly seen your name, because you comment on almost every story, including mine, and now that I see this story, I realize not only that you wrote it, but that you are female. I don't know why I thought you were a male. I guess I correlated buffalo to man? I don't know... Not that it really matters, but weird.

Anyway, I think this story is neat. It gave me chills to read, but it's believable, and I think you are very blessed to have such a special child.

Thank you, Katie for your comment.
It is not very often that I get to hear the other side of all of this, as he is still only four. I will tell you, though, Hun, that it is scary as heck for a parent raising one who knows so much. 😊
What you have described there in your comment is exactly how my son explains things to us... Well, let me make that a bit more clear. He can tell us what we looked like, having never seen an old photograph. He can describe what my Grandfather looked like, straight down to the limp. Grandpa passed on before my sons birth. How can you get the feel of a limp in a photograph?
Most people who listen to his "stories" think they are just that. Stories. Ramblings of a four year old who had quite an imagination. But the thing is, after he has been talking for a half hour (Seriously. He can spin a tale to make you think you are standing right there when it happens, and some of them are quite lengthy.), I can ask him a question about something he said when he first started and he will answer it with THE SAME ANSWER. He is not making the story up. There is no way that a four year old can remember details to a fabrication that is that long.
I envy, almost, his recollection of the past. But I do not wish it on anyone. What a responsibility.

Thank you, Brooke, for letting me know that there are more people out there like him.

Thank you, SnowClaw for your kind words. I have often called him my little angel. Maybe I am a bit closer to the truth than what I had thought.

Ok, I study a lot about different Types of angels and one thing I have come across is angels that take human form and live on earth to help others around them (family & friends). You never know when there is an angel in your life but I think he is one. This is a good thing and I loved reading your story, it made perfect sense to me.

Thank you so much for posting this. It has helped me and my father alot. I am fifteen and my entire life I have lived with just my father. My father has told me strange stories of the things I used to tell him. We are both very religous but very open-minded about everything. My father told me that from the time I could speek I told him that I chose him because I didn't want him to be lonely. My mother passed away after I was born. He also told me that I drew pictures that showed him with a goatee standing in a white background with long hair and a girl resmbaling me pointing towards him, my father had cut his hair and shaved his face before one month before I was born and from what he remembers I was never exposed to a picture of him with the hair. I have been to many phsycologists but nothing seems to help so I have quit going. The picture I drew for my father is now hanging up on a wall. I have dreams of my self constantly but I am always in different time periods. I never could completely explain this. But the name they call me always begins with K (my name is kate). I have no clue if this is just an active imagination or maybe something else. One more thing I have a horrible fear of large water I can not be anywhere near a pool or ocean with out having a severe panic attack, My father said one of the storys he told me was when I was six I told him I can't go into the water because I had drown before and my mom never helped. I can not explain any of this any comment would help. Thankyou. Your son sounds wonderfull... Goodluck

Thank you, JadedDragon for our shared experiences. Our son appears to not have been with either his Daddy or myself in a previous time, but rather loved by some other very lucky parents. He does floor us at times asking us if we remember some things that, with the description, would have HAD to happen a LONG time ago, though. I have to admit, that DOES make me uneasy at times.

Thank you, also, gohstgurl. I had never heard of that descriptive phrase of what my son may be a "member" of. I very recently posted another story on here on his experiences called "Our Son's Help at the Hospital" in which he was in contact with someone he had NEVER met (I had not met the man before that day either) and he made some very interesting observations. I would say that would support your ideas there.

Thank you both.

i saw something on tv about this. Your son is probably a crystal child. A crystal child is a child that chose their parents. They also act way older than they really are. You should get him to meet a new person,(having never met the person), have the person not tell him any thing about them and he should probably know all about them. Crystal children usualy are reincarnations of older and wiser people. Hope I helped. 😁

My son does similar things like that, he'll look at me out of the blue and ask me if I remember when we where together before this time, when you weren't my mommy. Or he was telling me about the time he was almost run over by a car at 7, he's only 5 and he doens't geet out of my sight. So... He said that happened a hundred years ago and his dad was there yelling for him to get out of the way. It makes you wonder... He doesn't talk much of angels and heaven, but of "the Other time, before this" a lot. He talks about siblings and people that aren't in his life, or never have been of current. So, what is one to think? Is it just children of this time or something else entirely.

Thank you, Vogue.
It is always nice for a mother to hear of other children who grew up having these inborn instincts. I really do not know if it is an instinct or a part of a past existence that lingers.
I can not help but think of how hard it is going to be for him growing up with his talent. We are out here in the public world, and he will have to deal with the ridicule of others who do not understand. If we were up on the reservation he may still have difficulties, but at least there he would have had the added support of a readily available Medicine Man to help him through the things we do not understand yet. And may never understand.
We also think the Land of Many Summers smiled down on us when it granted us the opportunity to rear this special not so little guy. We are blessed, and do not take that for granted. There are so many who do not have an inch of our mile.

your son sounds amazing :]
in a way, he kind of reminds me of what my mother told me about my childhood. Apparently as a child, up until I was about 7 years old, I used to talk to my parents about strange things at random moments, and I used to talk to my baby sitters about such random things. Both of my parents were raised catholic, but when myself and my brother and sisters were born, my parents stopped going to church. My friends growing up werent very religious either, but I used to chatter non stop to my parents about angels and God, and that I wanted to go to church.

thanks for sharing your story! Your son sounds like a gift from the heavens :]

Hi Cody, thank you for your comment.
As the Buffalo came to me while I was pregnant with my son, I was, at that time, under the impression that he was letting it known that he was my son's totem. I felt I was not worthy of "owning" such a powerful totem as I was going through a major bout of depression.
Just for the record here, I do not believe that those of us who have totems actually "own" that particular totem. I believe we borrow it from it's ancestral home for a time, and it will return to the Land of Many Summers at our passing.
In my belief system, we are all ruled by a Higher Being. That higher being sends us helpers. Those helpers arrive with various names and in a variety of forms. Life is but a recurring circle that does not end, just sort of "ripples out". So these helpers, at one time may very well have been in human form during our life time. They also may have been hanging out in greener pastures and peaceful lands just waiting for the opportunity to help out.
My son shares the same totem, to a degree, that his Papa did. My Father-in-Laws totem was a Timber Wolf, my son's is the White Wolf (I actually received a vision from what I believe was Unegv Waya in the presentation of his totem.)
I, myself, was ceremoniously granted the name White Buffalo at my marriage ceremony to my husband. I have been with him for over sixteen years, so why I would doubt that the Buffalo came to guide me at that time, I am not sure. I believe the dark presences may have been at work to destroy the upcoming strength of either myself or my son, but (remember, I was VERY depressed, really I was in an extremely dangerous frame of mind) am now trying to see if his strength is this that I have written about, or if there is another bigger plan for him.
When my son went through his naming ceremony, first he was a "fresh being" and many in my husbands clan are a bit wary of him. He comes from a long line of dark haired people on both sides, all have dark brown eyes. My son is blond with blue eyes. The Medicine man "christened" him into service as a Shaman. Well, we don't have Shamen. That word and it's meaning do not come from our region, so there is another "unexplained" about him.
I could go on, most of all this background may be in my comments to my stories, but I thought I might give you a bit of a highlighted view on why animals surround us.

As an added after thought: You wrote that his special language may be his way of speaking to this "buffalo of yours". I think you are right, perhaps he does try to speak to my totem, and his own. Or, maybe he is trying to speak to ME (I am the buffalo) in the form that he did before we became our human forms. Unfortunately, I am too old to remember that language, so I can not join in the conversation anymore... 😒

many people believe gaurdian angels come in many forms animal human whatever and that buffalo could have been somewhat of an angel for your son and children see and hear things adults don't unless they're made from humans/animal then the adults here them to but children see and hear more then adults that are able to see and hear those along with animals they can feel those presences too it is possible that child speaks his own language to that buffalo of yours

Thank you Ssunstorm. Warm fuzzies are a great addition in a world where those are getting increasingly difficult to find, aren't they? Welcome to our site, and enjoy!

haleybug: Look for the next story. If this is what you were patiently asking me to look for, OMG. I'm still waiting to see if it will be posted, but it was interesting to say the least.

whitebuffalo please try my suggestion on watching your son sleep you might find it pretty interesting. As last year I had something weird like this happen with my son when I was leaving to go christmas shopping.

Everything that you described, Mustang, is what my son does on a daily basis. At four years old he helps his daddy fix cars and KNOWS what he's doing. The speech of his sleep state (even if he is just getting ready to drop off into dream land) is still that same language. I would like to know, if he remembers being an angel, could this be the language of angels, or could it be the language of a past life like haleybug suggested?

I really liked your story, Whitebuffalo! How wonderful that your son is so blessed. I think that there are truly, "old souls", that exist in people and even animals. I really enjoy your stories. Keep 'em coming! And may whatever, "Higher Power", you believe in continue to bless you and keep you. ❀

What a wonderful story and a wonderful gift you have in your son.

I believe that children can and do choose their parents on occasion, when it is needed. He sounds as if he is the 'glue' that holds your family together.

As far as the language goes, who knows? This may be how he communicattes with his 'friends' that you can not see.

Thank you again for sharing, I to will have this story in my favorites!

God Bless!

Hi Whitebuffalo! I really liked your story and can relate a little with it. My daughter Amberley, now fourteen, was the same way. I remember when she was only two(just turned two) I could hold a conversation with her like I could with an adult. She never went through any terrible ages at all, not even now as a teenager. She has always been gentle and calm and very easy to talk to as well as being an easy listener. She has always been very mature at every age. She has always been told she has an old soul. When she was little and I would teach her things, she would catch on really quickly, almost like she used to know it and was just relearning whatever I was teaching her. Also, what's kind of neat is that a lot of times, in pictures, she has tons of orbs around her and only her. She also has lots of paranormal experiences. She sees, hears, feels things just like me. I wonder if that kind of thing is hereditary(being a sensitive). I think so! By the way, I also have Blackfoot Indian in me as well as Seminole and Crowe Indian. Amberley has that and lots of Cherokee from her Dad's side and a little Italian. For some reason, I think that people that have some or any kind of Indian in them have a lot of spiritual experiences. Maybe because of the spirituality that Indians have. Well I just think it's awesome! There are so many questions that can't be answered. Atleast not right now. One of these days everyone will now the truth. Thanks so much for your story. I enjoyed it! 😊 -Shelby ❀

you might want to look into past life regression. I believe we all are reincarnated, but to remember is rare. As for the language could be watch him while he sleeps at some point you may hear him talking in this language more. And the looking from heaven he could be talking about the soul plane. Well at any rate I wish you luck with all of this, and thank you for a great story. 😁

Whitebuffalo,I would agree with Shane about seeking the help of a reputable medium or psychic. I would also talk with the elders of your husbands tribe. They may give you differnt view.
As for the madeup language, my guess is it is the original language.
God Bless
