Miracles, not sure if it's 'normal' or not but just a thought, maybe if/when that happens it's because the message/subject has either been dealt with, or these events have changed course and simply don't apply to the person/situation anymore. Perhaps, in not being able to recall something, there's a subconscious awareness that it's not relevant. Hope that makes sense.

Sometimes I'll do what I call 'general' readings (a reading without a question) and I'll only recall the parts of the reading which made an impact. The parts that didn't were things I was consciously aware of. Hope that makes sense too!

Tweed - just looking to be educated by you or anyone knowledgeable about Tarot. Is it normal to be able to recall the layout of the spread and what each card means but not remember what the cards are saying? πŸ˜•

Roylynx, thank you so much for the link and all the info, I love reading through all this stuff.

I used to have a friend who used runes. She used to carry one around with her for protection. Reading through the rune symbols and their meanings is reminding me of a lot of conversations with her. She really loved her runes. 😊

http://norse-mythology.org/runes/the-meanings-of-the-runes/
The above link, a little different than what I know of, there are descriptions on the meanings on the runes.
Also I highly recommend you to buy any sets of rune stones too, they are available online too, and there are couples of versions. I am not putting any links since I am not a sponsor lol. No, to say the truth, each kind of stones effect each person differently, that is why I am not going to recommend you to buy a particular set, or if you find stones are too strong, there are cards available too.

Yes, I have heard Tarot is Egyptian originally too, TV knowledge lol
The symbols on the Wheel of Fortune Card might have a chance of having ancient Greek letters on it though, not sure because there are so many versions of it, but basically the meanings are the same.

Well, talking about Rune FUTHARKs each one represents an object or a god. I may find a blank one, some believe that you have to treat it with respect since it is Odin (God of gods) BUT there is no historical evidence for that, so just save it if you found it in your set.

Best luck from SΓ£o Paulo

Roylynx, it seems highly likely those runes and that tarot deck where somehow in tune, very oool stuff there.

Just been reading through the info and looking for rune symbols. The RW deck was illustrated in 1909 by a woman named Pamela Coleman Smith, it says 'under the guidance of Arthur Edward Waite'. These designs were published in the same year by William Rider. It doesn't mention anything about runes for the RW deck. However, I took a brief look through the pack and major arcana card number 10 'Wheel of Fortune' appears to have some markings on it which look a bit runic to me. But, I'm not familiar with runes so I don't know.

The earliest origins of the tarot are unsure but some historians feel they date back to Ancient Egypt. Some evidence suggests the earliest tarot was derived by an Egyptian book called 'The Book of Thor'. The tarot we know today is also based as you say on playing cards. One version of the tarot incorporated many symbols, including zodiac signs and other symbols. So although I've not found anything confirming runic symbols, with the amount of symbols used throughout history it's highly likely runic symbols were used in decks over time and may be present in the Rider Wait. I'd guess many other decks too.

Bem vindo Tweed! I am so glad my comment involved you!
More stories, I use to have a set of Rune Stones and my friend has maybe a different version of the original version of Tarot cards, we used to compare the Rune and the Tarot and not always but seldom same answer will come out and we enjoy those moments because we both believe that Tarot and Rune somehow share the same "energy", well I won't say more because it's more fun investigating those my own self.
Oh, please do share your results for us! All of us are interested!

So glad this has generated such an interesting discussion. Wow, so much to think about!

Rook, you've really got me thinking about colours and their significance. Plus the cards themselves on the boxes. Very interesting, think you're right, I did miss an obvious hint lol.
I knew this woman briefly through friends, she asked for a reading, said she'd been getting the same reading from some psychic who also used the 'Goddess', same as me. I thought 'oh yeah some scam artist having her on'. So I did her a reading, she said these cards were the same ones she kept getting. So I did her another reading, I even swirled the cards around on the floor face down as part of a massive shuffle. Sure enough the same bloody reading! That's only happened to me once, I was astonished! She, however, was quite relaxed about it 'yeah it happens a lot' she summed up. This was an instance where the reader (me) was shockedπŸ˜†

Thanks too for all the info, I've learned this stuff over years and it's very cool to know others get non specified readings.

Roylynx, far out you have really given me some things to think about! Wow thanks so much for posting that, TV knowledge or not, it's very interesting! I'm going to check the deck later and look for rune symbols. Thank you again for that great insight!

Punkys, thanks for your kind words you really made me smile. 😊 Yes, my Mum is unique that's for sure. I quite like your use of the word 'eventful' lol.
It's sooo interesting that others have either heard of or experienced tarot weirdness. Only wish there were more answers as to how it happens. I mean literally how do they (or any object) 'appear' somewhere?! I just don't know.

Don't worry about getting a tarot deck if you want to. As far as I know the tarot isn't linked with any negativity, maybe some urban legend conspiracy, but nothing substantial. It's just ouija boards you gots to be cautious of.

Seraphina, thanks for your lovely words.😊 I'm glad you enjoyed the details. I always try to keep details either succinct or poetic, or humourous, otherwise all my submissions would be yawn zzzZZZzzzzzz. I'm pretty shocked so many members read this, I thought the length would put people off lol.

Biblio, nice to hear, or read from you again. I pretty much slapped the desk at you saying a doll pair because I'd never thought of that, so thank you! The Silvestri company I mentioned are Italian, I think. Ironically I have a few little clowns and two are a pair. So you'd think I'd have thought of that, but nup.
The Golden Bough was something I was meaning to look into a couple years ago but for one reason or another never did. Another great idea.
Also you really seemed to nail it with my finding comfort in obscurity, I never really thought of it that way, but I do. Also the word 'upheaval' resonates, not sure why yet.

Darkness, thanks for your insight! I'm glad this resonated with you. You and Rook have drawn similar conclusions which I'd not thought of, the relevance of the boxes themselves, this really make sense to me.
I've not touched the tarot in years, until all this got me back into them. I've had that impression over the years that there's a bit of ghostly behind the scenes action going on with some readings. Not every reading, but definitely some. The tarot's energy and relationship to the reader is what Miracles was saying too. Wow, I'd not considered this angle for the reoccurring decks but it makes total sense.
It's funny how all those years I never thought or felt the importance of 'doing a reading' on the spot. But looking back on it, you're right, they were practically begging to be read lol.
Cool how you dream of your cards, and that you think of a given card at times. Like you and your deck are fused, don't know why that's cool but it is.

Hi Tweed, Loved reading about your account here, I have a great love of the Tarot myself and have had some weird thing happen also. I apologise if I repeat anything in the comments I only quickly glanced through them.
The first thing I picked up is the appearing of the cards at moments where a lot of energy and emotions were in place. The cards were screaming to be read! Haha even appearing to yourself in different colours and different images was a major sign in my opinion.
The connection with the clown I am at a bit of a loss with but I do resonate with your connection with the Tarot, there are sometimes when I dream about pulling Tarot cards out of my pocket, or when going about my everyday life a particular card will come into my head then when using the deck I have pulled that exact card out, this has happened multiple times.
The relationship between the person and their deck is everything, all your energy and emotions are absorbed into them, the power behind it is incredible, I definitely feel as though my guides use them as a way to talk to me in a more physical sense, something to ponder anyway.
I ran through your reading quickly as it gives me an overall idea before going in depth with the actual card meanings. I believe this is related to your mum, but I won't go into it specifically. I Love your writing style will definitely have a read through your other accounts.

Thanks for sharing.

Greetings, Tweed:
Comet-like, my orbit has once again brought me back to YGS after too long an absence. I had started to read everything from where I'd left off (late February?), but I saw you'd posted about the Tarot decks, and I couldn't resist.
There's a very simple idea rolling around in my head, which is annoying the hell out of me. The Rider-Waite deck is the most commonly-used Tarot in the English-speaking world because of the clear depictions of symbolism and the construction of the deck with regard for the older style cards. The Tarot, I'm sure you're aware, is the narrative of a life journey (Jungian archetypes, Campbell's journey archetype, and "The Golden Bough" are tangentially helpful in clarifying here, if you've got the time).
It seems to me that your experiences occur at points of upheaval, and their predictability is oddly comforting to you; you start looking for the Tarot deck to appear -out of thin air- as a "normal" event in the chaos.
(Am I alone in thinking that a 54" harlequin is only half of a pair? I know Pierrot isn't the most likable of characters in the commedia dell'arte, but you may need to see who manufactured paired dolls in order to track down yours.)
Best,
Biblio.

Tweed, what a fascinating story! (I see the "other side" is available to read now as well. Can't wait!) I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to write such a long post, because there are several threads here. You needed enough space to include all of them. I think many of us will gain useful insights as we read and reread what you've written, along with the comments of some of YGS's wisest members.

I'm sure everyone's done with the "pot plant" discussion, but sorry:) - I can't resist mentioning that I've read and heard this as a British-ism for "potted plants."

Blessings,

Wow Tweed! That's a whole lot of crazy! I felt stressed with you as I was reading this as well as your frustration because you obviously love your mother dearly but they can definitely make our lives the most... Eventful to put it sweetly! 😭

I too have heard and read a lot about the moving tarot cards. I have wanted to get a deck for a while, if I am not mistaken I owned one many years back, nothing crazy I can recall happening to do with it though!

I always worry when it comes to wanting to learn new things and expand my horizons when it comes to these kinds of things. I'm always concerned with getting mixed up into the wrong things and attracting the wrong kind of energy if that makes any sense. I don't have much insight for you but I just wanted to say I really enjoyed this read and I am excited to read the second part! πŸ˜†

Love it! ❀

elfstone - exactly. Try to find the difference in the way the thoughts are presented. One of the major ways I can tell if it's a subconscious thought or a premonition is if it's something I would never had thought. Kind of like "Why did I think that? I never would have thought something like that." Even though you may hear it in your voice doesn't necessarily mean it's your thought.

Thank you for the advice, Miracle. A lot of times the random bits of information I get are trivial and I get confirmation almost immediately. Like if I'm at work and I know they're going to page me to the service desk just before they do. Or I'll be watching baseball and know ahead of time how an at-bat is going to turn out.

The trick is to separate real intuitions from pessimism or wishful thinking. Like I have a good feeling about my team's game tonight even though they've been struggling, but that might just be because I *want* them to do well.

Tweed, Yes! I notice that you are talking about the original version as you have described the deck in your story and your comments that is why I thought "rune" could be involved! In my knowledge the Clown sometimes represents the Reaper which is always the last card in any deck, in "rune" the last letter according to FUTHARK is Daegu, the real meaning of the letter is routine, which became the infinity mark (∞). Older versions of Tarot cards has a Juggler or a Clown, meaning of "one's routine", but since some had said that its actually the sun set (which is partly right but they missed the other circle which is the sun rise) and so it has the meaning of the end as well, which gave the inspiration of the Reaper, which is misunderstood as "death/ the end", do you notice that there is a red joker and the black joker is the deck of playing card? That proves the theory. TV knowledge ends here lol

I understand that to "gain" anything you have to practice just like baby learning how to stand before they can walk and run. No worries about Ouija boards, my friend own one (no, not an old one, he bought it in a Halloween shop), so far it did not work so I am still a non-believer lol

Tweed,

No problem... I started with a RW deck WAY back when. My current deck is 'The Stairs of Gold'

They were created in the 70's but 'tap' into more than 'just' the images/meanings of the cards. The book that comes with describes the 'connections and meanings' of everything in a fairly understandable manner.

As far as readings go... The answer received is one of many possibilities from the questionnaires stand point. The answer received at the time they ask their question will be influenced by what they are concentrating on at the time (certain details surrounding the inquiry).

I hope that makes some sort of sense.

I have had individuals ask me the same question 3 times... And received 3 very different answers... OR received the same answer 3 times in a row. An individuals FOCUS can play a large part in the results of a tarot reading. Keep this in mind, just because you receive the same answer multiple times does not mean that is what the outcome will be... But it is the 'desired, focused' outcome of the individual asking the question.

I must also mention that the answer received may NOT be for the questions asked. The answer may reflect on a 'deeper' issue (s) concerning the individual having the reading done. The look on peoples faces as they realize you have 'touched' upon something they not only did not ask about, but they know that you had no way of knowing about...priceless.

Respectfully,

Rook

I knew I wasn't finished. I meant to address your random bits of information comment. I keep a Journal. It started out as a way to find out whether or not I was crazy (I'm not, just in case you were wondering πŸ˜‰) because of my ghostly experiences. It now includes everything: dreams, visions, etc as well as my ghost stuff.

I highly recommend if you don't, you should start. Date everything. Sometimes it takes more than a day or two for it to become clear why you heard/saw what you did. It can take years even, as is the case of my grandson. Be as specific in what you write/type. I used to think if all the details weren't exact, then what I thought was a premonition wasn't really. I now realize there are key details that we have to pay attention to. Unfortunately, I don't know those details until the premonition happens LOL

I'm not a very good teacher LOL so I'm sure most of this is "What the heck is she talking about?" I won't be offended if you need to ask me that πŸ˜†

Thanks for answering me Tweed and Miracles! May I ask a further question? Miracles, you mentioned getting information from spirit guides, passed loved ones, etc. How do you perceive that? Is it like hearing a voice in your head or seeing something written down or do you just know?

elfstone - Most readers (psychics/mediums) I know personally use Tarot cards as a prop. Sometimes it's because they feel the person getting the reading won't believe what information the reader is sharing unless there is something tangible for the reader to be receiving that information. Some people don't believe what they can't see.

It's easier for some people to believe a reader is getting information from a deck of cards rather than being given that information from their guides, someone's passed loved ones, etc.

I know that probably doesn't make sense, but I'm struggling to phrase it short and simple. I have no objections to someone else interpreting what I'm trying to say πŸ˜†

Elfstone, just quickly you practically phrased spot on how my Mum taught me to think of the tarot. She describes it simply like this:
"It's just your subconscious at work"
She applies that statement to the shuffling of the cards to the interpretation of the readings. 😊

Roylynx, I think 'gaining spiritual powers' only comes through practice. With that logic, learning to interpret readings of any kind of divination, be it tarot, runes (I think that's how their spelled, but I don't know much about them) is a good way for anyone to broaden their horizon. Steer clear of the old Ouija boards though.πŸ˜‰

Not sure about the rune association with Tarot. As far as I know the tarot deck I'm talking about here is the oldest or based on the original version of tarot. So, it seems likely runes play a part in the symbolism within the cards. Maybe some other members who know more could shed some light on this. There's a big write up in the booklet about the origins I'll have a read later and post anything noteworthy. Right now I'm a little pressed for time.
Msforgetmenott raised an interesting possibility about the clown somehow being responsible for this card trick (OH why didn't I think of THAT joke before, oh well) I have been wondering the same if the clown is somehow pulling the strings. I could go on and on but annoyingly I really must dash.

Aku, I have read your dreams and have yet to think of a response.

Interesting story and thanks for sharing! 😁

I've never really understood about tarot cards. The impression I'm getting from you guys talking about them is that they're maybe a tool to help you figure out what you already know?

Like, a lot of times we'll know deep down that this person is a bad influence or that we're handling that situation wrong because we're too caught up in some aspect or another (obsessing about money or being afraid or whatever) but we don't want to admit it to ourselves. So the tarot lays it all out and makes it clear so you can understand and make better choices.

Does that sound right?

Tweed,

You may have missed an 'obvious' hint with these decks... The color of the box they were in and the 'card' on the front of the box... You stated that the first one was a 'mint' condition RW deck in a blue box that displayed the World card on the cover.

So based on the Color of the box and the meaning of the Card (The World). Well maybe this will carry some meaning for you for the time frames you mentioned...

Blue: (depending on shade...)

Discovery, Balance or Trust.

Then the meaning of the World card:

Realization. Attainment of major goals. Reward. Recogniton. Triumph. The World card speaks of understanding the big picture. Everything falls into place. The end of the Fool's Journey, but the beginning of other journeys. Now it is time that all the knowledge and experience can be used to do great things. A card of travel. Perhaps you are a diplomat on a mission to negotiate treaties, or a business leader opening new markets. The World indicates understanding, success and achievement. Traditionally, completion, fulfillment, perfection, promotion, honors, good health. A good omen for successful childbirth.

That was the deck in the beginning... The deck you ended up with came in a yellow box and had the Magician on the cover...

Yellow: Enlightenment

Card meaning: Revelation. Positive transformation. Progress. Understanding that which is already known. Appreciating that which is already available. Clever. Focused. Diplomatic. Interesting. Note the symbol of infinity representing the heights of achievement possible. The Magician is the facilitator of the Tarot deck. Enabling the subject to utilize their talents and abilities to better advantage. A salesman who sells you on yourself. At his worst, a bit conniving and manipulative. In readings where the Magician represents the subject, heightened communications skills and persuasiveness are also suggested. When representing another, pay close attention. Remember that although the Magician is usually an agent of progress and growth, he is also capable of trickery and deception.

Here is a link to the Wiccan Color wheel I used...

"http://witchtips.tumblr.com/post/118981098363/wiccan-color-wheel";

I am not sure if that sheds any light onto anything or if I have made things clear as mud... But the fact that you even mentioned the color of the boxes suggested to me they had some sort significance (did I really spell that correctly? πŸ˜‰).

Until you described the Clown I was going to ask if it was wearing a Blue and Gold (yellow) Harlequin print... But it seems she was more traditional in black and white.

Thanks for sharing.

Respectfully,

Rook

Sorry to come up with such a silly question here.
I read this story again and I remember my friend explaining how Runic letters are related to Tarot cards, but I found out that nowadays people considered them as 2 different things, now that I see other people wrote about Ouija boards, maybe it's very different but from my knowledge these 3 different things seems to have power to summon spirits.
Now, my question is, do you think people can gain spiritual powers using Tarot or any of the things that I mentioned?

Love from SΓ£o Paulo

PS. Sorry about being too off the topic I am just curious on how people would think about spiritual powers.

Miracles, I'd say it's a good thing you come up with all sorts for any given card, okay it could get confusing too lol. But at the same time I'd say it speaks to an ability to find many possibilities and, likewise, results to many situations or problems.
In my opinion divination in all it's forms is indicative of likely outcomes on presently taken paths, not a report on some predestined future. So finding meaning with any old card is pretty cool I think.
I'm pretty sure there are some tarot spreads which spread the entire deck (!) and read that. I would be exhausted if I did that, and end up forgetting the crux of the reading! πŸ˜†

This is my take on the reading which I took at the time to be concerning the situation at hand.

SUBJECT King of Cups
Booklet says:
"Fair man, man of business, law or divinity, responsible, disposed to obliged the querent." It goes on.
At the time I took this card to represent me, or my capacity remedying the situation.

OBSTACLES 4 of Pentacles
Booklet says: "The surety of possessions, cleaving to that which one has..."It goes on. In the obstacle position I took this to signify the home and uncertainty which had surrounded it.

WORKING TOWARDS Strength
Booklet says: "Power, action, courage..."Well, you get the picture, it goes on. I really liked this card in this position because it seemed somehow 'pure' intention wise. However, as I understand it, this position doesn't mean these things are in the here and now, so to speak.

WORKING WITH 3 of Pentacles (reversed)
Booklet says: "Mediocrity in work and otherwise, puerility, pettiness, weakness." Well, that's not very nice. I took this as the foundation for all chaos. Mum's denial, which had lead to this chaos and some nasty outside influences.

PAST OR COMING TO PASS Ace of Pentacles
Booklet says: "Perfect contentment, felicity, ecstasy..."It goes on. I took this to be a warning and reminder to me. In the past I've been roped into peoples dramas, always the one people come to for advice or a shoulder. I think this card is very telling in the 'past' position saying: 'you're doing it again and this is the cost'.

COMING TO BE 6 of Wands
Booklet says, the booklet really goes on with this one. The most potent sentence struck me as this: "...it is expectation crowned with its own desire, the crown of hope and so forth." It also talks of victory and triumphant news. Well, this was coming to be with how things fell into place with her new house.

QUERENT'S ATTITUDE Lovers (reversed)
Booklet says: "Failure, foolish designs" I took this as another warning, a more general one this time. Like don't undo anything good.

SURROUNDING PEOPLE/CIRCUMSTANCES 5 of Wands
Booklet says: "Imitation, as for example sham fight..." It goes on to talk about struggles for wealth and petty competitions. This was exactly the external physical world influences in this situation.

HOPES AND/OR FEARS The Devil
Oh, you gotta love it when the devil shows up.
Booklet says: "Ravage, violence, vehemence" (it goes on all doom and gloom, then says) "That which is predestined, but not for this reason evil" Well, this crappy external physical world influence situation mentioned above had been brewing since 2007. So this card is spot on in this position.

OUTCOME OF CURRENT PATH TAKEN The Last Judgement
Booklet says: "Change of position, renewal, outcome."
Yeup.

Meant to post this before, the clown descriptive notes which I omitted for length reasons. This is a bit of a shout out to any doll enthusiasts who may be able to shed some light on the clown. Over the years I've tried to find a duplicate of Gran's clown, in hopes of obtaining one just like her. No such luck, thus far.

The harlequin clown stood an impressive 4 and a half ft tall. Her face was doleful, her eyes looked slightly downward. She had a sad beauty. The features and paintwork style were realistic, think 1970's mannequin style painted face.
Her hair was painted black, she had a silver star on one cheek, black lips and a black tear in one eye. Her nails were painted silver.
Her costume was predominantly black with rainbow trim embellishments.
I've researched harlequin dolls over the years and I believe her to be made by a company called 'Silvestri', because their face mould matches hers like no other doll maker I've found, as does the painting style of some (but not all) of their clowns. However, I've never been able to find any record of any company, including Silvestri, making clowns as large as her. I wonder if life size clowns like this were sold exclusively to businesses as window dressing props. But weren't sold commercially because of their size requiring larger storage space, thus less practical stock for boutiques. This might explain why I can't find any harlequin dolls over 4 ft.
The date of manufacturing I believe to be between the mid 70's to early 80's.

Thanks Miracles, glad you enjoyed reading. You've definitely given me something to ponder about with the reader aspect of tarot weirdness. I'll have to consult the booklet again to explain the reading. Not that astute when it comes to the RW deck.πŸ˜‰ I'll post it shortly.

Tweed - I have to admit I really enjoyed this experience. Objects disappearing, and then reappearing, fascinate me. The whys are endless, as are the wths LOL.

Years ago I bought a set of RW (Magician's deck), hoping I would be able to give readings. Unfortunately, I realized this is not my gift, or calling. My deck has never moved. Maybe it has something to do with the energy of the user? Just thinking off the top of my head here, so chances are very likely I'm way off base LOL. But reading accounts of members who use their deck, and a deck (be it the one they use or another) moves feels like it has something to do with the reader. Not sure where I'm going with this but it came out so y'all get to hear (read) it.

I love Harlequin clowns. They are so beautiful. Years ago I had one dressed in purple silk who was musical. She randomly played but I never attributed it to anything paranormal. Wish I'd paid a whole lot more attention back then.

As for the pot plants, that was absolutely perfect timing πŸ˜† I've said many times I have a really warped sense of humor πŸ˜† I honestly did consider changing it to potted plants, but didn't for two reasons: 1) it made me laugh and 2) sometimes changing words, sentences, etc changes the o/p's story. If I change something (and I'm guilty of doing this very thing early on as a mod) to how I would say it, it changes things. Makes it more into a story I would submit rather than the o/p. I honestly would not want someone to change words I say like y'all or g-o-n-n-a (it won't let me spell it) or other words into what fits someone else's idea of what I'm saying.

Geesh, I need to stop LOL I'm rambling this morning. Anyway, I really enjoyed this. Thank you.

Oh! LOL whole reason I brought up the Tarot cards. What does your reading mean?

Hahaha pot plants! They were definitely plants in pots 'potted plants', as you say.
Thanks everyone for sticking it out with the length of this one!

Msforgetmenott, I would love it if the clown had purple pants lol, alas she was dressed in mostly black. Erugh, yeah that stupid white tip spider, they're creepy as all get out. Sometimes, while typing about something, I'll search for it out of curiosity of what readers may find if they search for the same topic. But I couldn't bring myself to search for that particular spider, they're horrible!
It's really great to hear from you, I'm glad you still visit the site.😊

Manafon, I've done tons of research into this clown for the very reasons you suggested! I omitted these details from the final draft for length reasons. But planned to put a bit of a call out to doll enthusiasts in the comments, I'll post my omitted clown findings in a separate post.

Miracles, I'm glad you left 'pot plants' inπŸ˜†, that's highly amusing and quite fitting for my family. I don't touch the stuff myself and would never have transported any if she had them lol, too risky for my liking!

DandK, I can only imagine it was to protect me and/or so he could assess the situation himself, hence the mood in the room changed. I'd have flipped out if I rushed in otherwise.
Just to clarify this is a different experience with him to the one I referenced submitting in a recent comment. I've submitted a few things over the last couple weeks.

Hi Tweed, Thanks for the interesting story!
I'm perplexed about the situation with your mom falling in the kitchen. Why would your guardian prevent you from getting up to check on your mom?

Manafon - I started to change it to potted plants, but got such a kick out of it, I decided to leave it the way Tweed and country reference plants in pots πŸ˜†

Tweed--I thoroughly enjoyed your tarot deck high weirdness. I know absolutely nothing about tarot cards but you definitely have something going on. Have you ever considered looking up harlequins for sale on a site like eBay or something to see if you can find the same type of harlequin? If you can find a match for the harlequin that spent time in the flower shop, and later, the basement and bedroom of your grandmother, you might find some type of clue.

I don't know what this clue could be but it might be something that will just hit you and some vague feeling will suddenly come into crystal clear view. Maybe where the harlequin was made will have a significance, or the name of the manufacturer... Who knows. It does seem that your old friend the harlequin might be the key to helping solve the ongoing tarot weirdness.

On another subject completely, you mention moving "pot plants" out of your mom's old house into her new one. I believe you meant "potted plants". Of course as you were born into hippy culture maybe this just falls in line with your mom's laid back attitude 😜.

Hi Tweed,
Just have to ask, is this clown dressed in purple pants? LOL
You have broken the length record, I think!
I do totally understand the stress an older family member can cause, but would we have it any other way?
Your writing was actually easy to follow, and you clearly write in away that makes the reader visualize your experience. I found myself nibbling my lip, wondering when the clown was going pop up and appear. Yet also understanding that the clown was the tarot deck. That is my take on it anyway... You write as if we are sitting at your kitchen table sipping tea, in conversation.
Now when will we see the continuing part B?
Side note, I looked up that spider, I would have moved from that room for sure. Hate em!
Good story Tweed, keep it up.
Jan 😁
