Melda,
Thank you kindly. Well, panic never solved anything, that's for sure.
My Mom use to say,"Keep control. Do what needs doing in the moment, and you can fall apart afterwards." Surprising what you can accomplish if you can follow that advise.

Roy,
Illinois is thick with Native American folklore, and as a young girl I was very fortunate to hear a few first hand. Or rather directly from elders of the Potawatomi tribe. Unfortunately, they're not YGS material (certainly not a personal experience! Lol) or I'd share them. 😊 Really interesting stuff!

Val - What a beautiful story!

You were so fortunate to be able to tune into the elements of the forest and to notice Chaska. He obviously looked after Josh, or who knows where he would have ended up?

Yes I'm sure most people would have put it down to a child's vivid imagination but having followed the little dark image and obeying orders to leave a trail, you knew better.

I really enjoyed this, more food for thought. It makes one think, less panic and more concentration can at times be all it takes to sort out a mess. Of course it helps being psychic as well 😊 Not that I'm psychic, but you certainly are.

Regards, Melda

I will say native myths and old folklores! This is an incredible story! I like reading about native stories and folklores! Especially when things are real! Thanks for sharing!

Well, "taking you by the end" certainly could have been interesting 😜 😆
Glad I'm not the only one who has stuff go through only to read it and notice an error when it can't be fixed!
Thanks Val 😊

L_Melb,
Thanks for reading. Relief doesn't even begin to cover how I felt when I found him!
I noticed some typos snuck through:
"Taking me by the end" should be taking me by the hand.
"... Exception of the old man for the reception area," for should be from.

Nothing worse than the realisation that a loved one is lost - good Lord it is awful!
As always, a lovely read and I can only imagine the relief you felt when you found your boy.
Glad you have such memories of him and glad you chose to share it with us 😊
