That is true, there is either a dead man's hill or dead man's curve. The thing about urban legends is that more often than not they have a completely explainable cause. Just like in Cry baby bridge. You just have to take the time to search for the answers. Now I am not saying all urban legends can be debunked, but I would be willing to bet that quite a few can.

Peace, Love, and Luck be with you.

Very interesting story, I have never heard of Cry Baby Bridge, but I have heard of Dead mans hill, which like Cry Baby Bridge, there seems to one in almost every city, very nice storie, too bad the ghost isn't real :( it would have made a really interesting tale.

Aw shucks Athena, you going to go and give me a big head. ;) I just wanted to point out that sometimes not everything is as it seems. Believe me if I had been younger and not more aware of my surroundings, that bridge would have been just what they say it was, haunted. I could almost see how people came to believe it was, just from being there that one night.

Peace, Love, and Luck be with you.

Dear Shane, Another good story! I like this one, because it shows people how they can investigate, and may find that there are explanations, other then paranormal ones for the occurrences they encounter. Not all occurrances can be explained, but it opens the door to self empowerment by being an open skeptic and doing the research for oneself first, and using common sense to bring in the skilled individuals as needed.

Thank you Martin for publishing my story. I just wanted people to know that while most of us here are true believers in the paranormal, not all of what we experience is caused by ghost or the paranormal, some can have everyday causes. I really enjoy your site and all the wonderful stories that are told here.

Although I usually publish real ghost experiences, our "ghost hunting" category can include myths that are debunked, as it is an important part of paranormal investigations and give more legitimacy to events that cannot be explained. That's what a lot of people like about the TV show "ghost hunters". It's not always about a medium dramatically fainting because there is some strong energy yet no one else can see any evidences. A scientific approach is necessary.
