Hey Aussie, I wouldn't say she was sensative but she had deffinate beliefs in that area. There are...things...that I would agree with you that quite possiably the origional focus may have been her. (And on vendictive hind-sight I should have left it that way) but out of respect; and the off chance she, or some one who knows her I will not be relinquishing thoughs beliefs. I know YOU understand better then you think.

Kardagen...interesting story, I was changing my mind a couple of times, but have come back to the conclusion... This presence was not of friendly nature... Sometimes those heavy, cold and chilling types of feelings are quite normal to experience even with spirits of friendly nature... But mate you did the right thing getting out of that place asap... Good story... One question your ex... Was she a sensitive... Or have her own experiences... I feel she was the attention of this entity...

Cheers Daz

Cosmo: the area isn't the best, narrow windy step roads, few places that are cliff one side mountain on the other, long time ago had a friend who passed on that road due to racing. Not a fun road.

Hi Kardagen I don't remember seeing your story when it posted. I must have missed it. Sorry about that. 😕 Great story by the way and good thing you listened to your instincts and stayed course on that road. Something terrible could have happened to you both if you had swerved to avoid it. I agree with you and believe that the man and dog are the same most likely summoned to that area by the Native Americans for some reason. Are there a lot of car accidents on that road? If (Butch) doesn't like tresspassers he might be responsible. Thanks
Jenn ❤ 😊

Kardagen,
Without getting knee deep into a story of my own, I own a property inhabitted by the spirit of a native american woman. She actually had two protectors; one was a very ominous native american man, and the other is a black wolf.
Maybe your dog protects the man, or maybe they both protect something else...regardless, some offense was taken by your inadvertent actions. If you feel that the spirits are of native american decent or affilitation, it may take an offering, or sign of peaceful respect to shed you of this situation...or, you can mount pepper spray on your bumper.:)

Lou: Hey... Now there's an avenue I hadn't really thought on. I in my infinant wisdom 😜 thought it was one in the same, but it could be. The figure that was seen could be "bound" to that particuler area and butch may be a type of eran boy...dog...thing. I had settled on the "distraction crash, haha, teach you to hanky panky in my woods" because it is a natural instinct (least for me) to swerve to avoid hitting the animal... As for a transformation between them, no. I saw no such thing. Can't rightly remember how I came to the conclusion that they were one entity... And I've only seen butch one time out side of a vehicle, I'm glad I was alone. I feel confident in my abilities to protect myself. I loose quite a bit of... How to say... Mental fortitude when others are present because I fear not being able to protect them. I have toyed with the idea of returning to the site. I haven't decided if I want to Appologise. OR if I have the marbles to confront it... As foolish as that would probably turn out... 😆

Butch, huh?...yeh, doesn't sound like a Fifi or a Cuddles to me... Butch works.

I find it very interesting that you only see him when you are in a vehicle... Is that right? Didn't run over any dogs in your youth, did you?:)

The combination of the figure you and your girl saw, and the dog lead me down a familiar road. You said they are one and the same, have you seen a transformation between the two? Are you sure the dog is not the other's protector... Or enforcer? As you recognized during your first encounter, you took something from this entity that it considered to be his... And the "replay" of that initial encounter seemingly is to remind you that you crossed him.

The fact that you are in a vehicle when it happens leads me down a darker path... Is something trying to harm you by causing you to get distracted at the wheel? Acknowledgment can cause provocation... Its re-emergence since telling the story isn't necessarily typical, but it is not completely surprising.

Lou: the encounters had steadly decreased over time but since writing this story butch (yes I named it) has made a resurgence, it is allways...agressive... Either in a hunched challanging stance or already charging. Even in low light situations where you should be able to see an animal of that size fairly well its never vizable until directly in the head lights of the vehical.
Shadow: its apperance is that of a very large rott. I would say almost 3.5 feet at the shoulder as it would have stood higher then then the hood of my car.

Kardagen,
Can you elaborate on your recent encounters with the dog? Is he always charging/challenging you, or does/has he exhibited other behavior as well?

I am thinking that it was a deomen that shape shifted into a blck dog was it LARGE BLACK dog? Or was it a species that you have seen? Because if you have never herd of it then I think it colud have been the shrieaker it is a large black dog cross bear cross wolf by the way was the moon covered by clouds or fog because if it was then it is almost shore that it will come back and try to well not to scare you but kill you but I dout it was because it almost always goes for girls so helped it helped.

Boldylocks, I personally can not say it was demonic or not I did not feel the aura of fear most 'demons' are supost to exude. And not to worry I haven't let it stop my love for nature, just stopped my late nights in that particuler spot, which I visited this last weekend, and it feels just like any place in the woods. I don't know, maybe it was a freak encounter.

Maybe the Native Americans who were forced through that horrible Trail of Tears long ago put a curse on that land-- for any future "white man" venturing there., If so, that explains why that entity seems more than happy to oblige them to this day.

I wish he'd hang about the Coastal areas to scare the b'jesus out of anyone attempting more oil drilling!

Hi, sounds like you saw a demon-- they are known to manifest as hostile dogs. I've even had a dream of a tall guy--cloaked in a dark robe with hood, and his face was part dog/part human with extreemly evil eyes. His eyes were so evil that I had to avert from looking directly at him.
He was standng before a shelf of library books and pulled out a book from the shelf, smiling at me with an evil smile.

It didn't take a brain surgeon to tell me that he was demonic.

I won't thump your head with a bible since I hate when people do that to me as well.
I wouldn't let these entities create fear for you so you could no longer enjoy Nature though. So it wouldn't hurt to seek Divine protection. It's not the trees and woodland's fault that certain negative entities like to hang about there.

So to make an update, the area was land once occupied by the konkow branch of the Miadu people, when the gold rush hit settlers brought with them diseases that killed nearly a quarter of the local population, the clearing I was in is near a trail that had been used to access the back side of Bald rock. Later to be used when the Konkow and other indiginous people were herded on to reservations, an unconfirmed amount of deaths happened along that particuler trail. The legend of the coyote man is further into the mountains, not near where my encounter took place, but older tribe members still revear the area and won't go there after sunset. Some answers, more questions.

heyla lass, yes and no I think, the 'man' and dog are one in the same, as I continue seeing the dog I believe or have come to the belife that he/it is still answering my challange, as the event in the stories happened about 4 years ago.
Thanks for the comment, if I find out more on the areas history ill post it.

howdedode! Was waiting for you to share your story, so thanks, first of all I'd like to say your a proper sweetheart, (romantic) 😁 it gives me shivers to think of someone just standing watching me, Well I definitely reckon your man and the dog are linked. I'd be more scared of the dog myself, but anyways... I agree with everyone, look up the history of the place!

Peace out 😜

Hey Kardagen that's very interesting would be good to find out if anyone else has experienced anything there before. Because of the history of the area there is bound to be some sort of paranormal happenings there, residual or intelligent.

Thanks for sharing that mate.

Hi Dan thanks for the comment, well the area from what I understand was once american Indian land, and they have a legend/beliefe of the 'coyote man' that lives in that area and protects a sacred land by the upper forks of feather river's falls. I tried researching the legend further but that's about all I could find. But the area we were in is a good ways from the falls but it is near a sort of 'trail of tears' where the maidu (that's probably spelt wrong) were marched from camp to camp through the mountains.
