My Father The Lizard on 2009-04-21

My knight-in-shining-armour and confidante was taken away from me so quickly that I was left feeling dizzy, empty and heart-broken. Why did God have to take my father from me? Yes, he had to manage with one good leg and a stump but he was so vibrant, so hilarious and entertaining, so much alive! Why...

A Haunted School on 2009-04-15

Everytime I think of this experience that I went through thirty-five years ago, the hairs on my hands start to stand! I wish it never happened because the thought of that eerie experience haunts me to this day. I have always been a person who does not want to believe in ghosts. I believe that if one...

Bravo, Tek! It takes courage to face the unseen. Out of your love for your mother, you were able to confront the unseen; this is truly commendable. I hope your mum is happy now and that you can be there for her, always.

I would like to know if I can tell about my father reaching out to me through my dreams to tell me about people who were dying in the real world. Someone please advise me. Thank you. If I can, then that will be my next story.

The Straits-born Chinese of Malaysia believe that our parents come back to visit in the form of large black and white moths. I have had such visitations from my parents. First of all, when my dad passed away, there was one huge moth that used to come into the dining-room and stay for hours. Ten years later, after my mother passed away, there were two huge moths visiting our dining room. Strange but quite fascinating!

Angelboo424, I am glad my story helped in some way. I took a long time to get over my father's demise, because he was more than a father; he was my confidante. Be comforted that your Dad will always be with you. Your Dad lives within you. Your ways, how you perceive things, your outlook towards people and life will always be the result of his teachings and advice. Your Dad lives on and so will mine! 😊

This is especially for 'blank' - thanks for your empathy. After reading your stories about your friend's grandpa, my father's visitations came back to me. I would like to tell you about it. I will have to wait for 'space', apparently there are too many stories being submitted! 😊

I appreciate all the comments given, many thanks. I agree with Tonith that some unseen being out there was trying to get some attention. I wish now that I could have helped in some way but since I was still young then, I got just plain scared out of my wits! 😊
