Everything Was Going Great on 2009-12-07
At the age of eight I lived in Milwaukie, Oregon. My parents decided to move the family to Milwaukie from Oregon City, following a big promotion for my dad at his job. My two brothers were excited about the new place and my parents were the happiest I had seen them in a long time. Everything was goi...
The Beach House on 2009-11-23
My grandmother owns a beach house in Lincoln City, Oregon. My family has been staying there for vacation since I was born. It has always been my favourite place to go in the world. The house is very small and old. It was built sometime in the 50's and has undergone many repairs in the past. I person...
Living Enrichment Center 2 on 2009-11-19
This is my second story about the Living Enrichment Center, an abandoned worker rehabilitation center in Wilsonville, Oregon. I had some bizarre experiences there before, which I wrote about in my first story. It actually took a little nerve to come back a second time after what happened the first t...
Living Enrichment Center on 2009-11-19
As I have stated before, I live in Portland, Oregon. There is a town near the Portland area called Wilsonville. It's about a fifteen minute drive from where I currently live. When I was growing up I lived in Oregon City. I remember when I was ten or eleven one of my friends told me about a mental ho...
The Toybox on 2009-11-02
When I was ten years old I moved with my parents and two brothers from Milwaukie, Oregon to Portland. I was sad at first because I had grown fond of our old house. We were only able to stay in Milwaukie for two years because of... Complicated circumstances. Suffice to say it was a rough neighborhood...
Music From The Basement on 2009-10-26
When I was fifteen I didn't like hearing ghost stories. I liked to joke around with my friends about stuff like that but I was very rational, and still am. While unexplained phenomena can normally be explained rationally, to this day I have a difficult time understanding what happened that day. I am...
BTW: I think Scoops is on to something. You might consider taking some pictures of the house or leaving a small video camera on a tripod somewhere you see a lot of activity while you work. I think you might be hard-pressed not to for professional reasons, which is perfectly understandable as well. At the very least, can you take a picture of the ball for us? I'm sure we'd all like to see it!
Thanks for sharing!
But seriously, have you tried to learn a bit more about the history of the property? I'm not sure if the owners would think that was strange or not but you might consider asking them about the presence (s) in the house. I'd be willing to bet they have some stories of their own to share with you.
I haven't seen any of your other stories so I am going to check them out right now! I can't wait to read about your other encounters!
Please check out my stories if you get the chance. Thanks for sharing!
Killtor: In Oregon if you are under 18 you have to be indoors before midnight. This is a law protecting kids from dangerous people that lurk around at night. It's usually not a big deal, though cops can harass kids sometimes if they look like they're up to no good. They usually check IDs and if necessary, drive kids home. Thanks for the compliment!
Thanks again for the compliment.
Anyway yes, the outbuilding you saw in my pictures is the one where the tunnel surfaces. You were in the right place. There is an entrance in the main building. There is a room that is totally destroyed that looks like it might have once been a boiler or some kind of maintenance area. You'll know you're in the right place if the metal staircase warps and crashes underneath your feet as you enter. It's all bent outta shape and makes a lot of noise when you first come in. The entrance to the tunnel should be underneath the steps.
I had a chance to go back to the LEC a few weeks back (it might have been a month ago), hoping to see something new. Nothing really paranormal happened, unfortunately, but my friend and I went back into the tunnels. Where there is a "T" shape this time we hooked right, to the area we didn't go last time I was down there. This path points in the direction of the new housing development, where I think you started to go but turned back. It's really strange because most of the tunnel is dry and clean, but when we went down this direction it immediately started to smell foul. It kind of smelled like sewage or some type of fetid drainage. There were puddles of rusty-colored water all over the ground and the walls were cracked and dripping. The pipes along the walls were brown and wet-looking, and there were ACTUAL BATS (!) on the ceiling. One got stuck in my friend's hair! He freaked out and dropped his flashlight! I followed the bats' pathway to the end of the tunnel, which actually wasn't that far. It sadly leads to a dead end, where it looks like it was collapsed. It smells foul down there and looks really creepy. There were bats fluttering around in the end so we took off at that point. Not much to see otherwise. Thanks for the comment!
Zzsgranny: Thank you! To this day I am not sure why the footsteps didn't freak anyone in the family out. Maybe it was the residual buzz of moving to a great house overwhelming the thought of creepy ghosts. We all heard them but for some reason none of us made a big deal about it. I think if I heard footsteps in my hallway tonight I would crap myself. Weird right? It just never felt threatening in the old house, I suppose. Thanks for reading.
DARKNESS: Thanks for the compliment. I like the long ones too.
Staris: I am glad you asked about the Lady incident. I was confused and disappointed as well when the historian was unable to find anything about a lady or anyone else dying on the property. I went to the library and checked local periodicals dating back to the building of the house (1955). Nothing, nobody died that I could find. I skimmed a lot though so I might have missed something. I should check again. And as far as my little bro, once when the whole family was eating dinner, he suddenly started laughing. It was a quiet moment when nobody was talking so we were kind of startled. He was looking at the door to the empty garage. He then said, "Stay in the garage!" really loudly. Nobody knew who he was talking to. The garage door was closed.
Greenpondmike: That is a fantastic idea! I never thought of that. It is totally plausible. The getaway driver may have bailed on him but his death is his own fault. I have scolded myself in the past in the same manner. It totally makes sense. Thanks for the insight!
TTraveler: Thanks so much for the helping hand. I appreciate that a lot. Luckily for me I don't have any SP going on these days. I have only had it twice.
Just a suggestion though. Doesn't explain your other experiences! Good story, thanks for sharing.
Scary story man. I have a question, when you say African descent do you mean black? Or light brown? Sorry I am always trying to work out the details. Sounds like a scary experience. I would have to say if the dude has only appeared to you and never tried to scare you in any other way I think you can rule out hostility. The angry look may be the emotions he carried from his previous life. If he died feeling this way it could be what keeps him around, visible to you. He might just be mad all the time now, not specifically directed at you. There is a part of me that wonders, however, if your experience in New Orleans is related to this unknown man. He might be there more than you think.
Do you have a tripod? A basic video camera? You might consider setting a camera up next to your bed and leaving the tape running while you sleep. You might be shocked in the morning. If you don't capture anything you could also try filming your mom's backyard or even trying to capture an EVP there. Maybe you will find out a little more about the reason he's following you.
Good luck.
