Home's Guardian Spirit on 2013-01-07

This tale takes place in my friend's house, who is only a few doors down from my parents (formally my own) home which I wrote about before, entitled 'House upon the Gallows'. It's a similar lay out, kitchen/diner downstairs and double doors (not a feature in my parents place) leading into the living...

The Abbey Flat on 2010-09-22

These happenings took place from February 2009 to August. My friend and I had decided to move out of our family homes and get a flat together in our home town of Sligo. It was a beautiful flat, built opposite the ruins of old Abbey from the 12th century (although, technically it's a friary). Many dr...

House Upon The Gallows on 2009-11-11

If you have read my previous post, you will know that I used to live in an old fisherman's cottage, which I thought was haunted. My family moved from there in October 2002 from the beach to the town. It is in a housing estate, on a hill on the outside of the small town. It is about ten years old, wi...

The Watching Woman on 2009-11-09

I have had quite a few weird experiences over the years; I don't know why as I don't think I am particularly psychic. What is strange is that it has only happened since I moved to Ireland... And it's in every place that I have lived in since. These are some events that happened in my first house in ...

Logan and MsWrestlersGhost,

I did in fact inquire, but asides from her coin disappearing things have been quiet. I guess my friend was really missed! While it was nerve wracking, it was never threatening. I guess I am lucky in that respect, most of the entities and people I meet are very friendly.

Thank you for reading,

The pjs? I think he has both legs in only one pant leg, and the "tail" is actually the other pant leg. Lucky blaggard, wish I could fit both legs into one of my trouser legs!

I take it intelligent hauntings mean that they were aware that we we were there? My dad (whose lived in this town for sixty years or so) said that it was a graveyard at one point, that the Abbey's grounds were much larger originally, they found the old gatehouse some half a mile away recently when they cleared some part of the town away to build some apartments. So maybe it's just an old face intrigued in the new developments.

I would have loved to have stayed, but life is like that. Who knows maybe I'll go back to it some day, but you should look up Sligo Abbey anyway, they have a few amazing ghost tales of their own!
Maybe the dog was just scared by a new noise. I know one of my dogs (who will quite happily savage a rat to death) barked at a pot when it boiled over on our electric stove. The rocking sound it made frightened him... And me... But dogs can be silly over new noises. 😁

Ha ha-no I am not bave, in fact I would go as far to say I am the opposite, I just try to ignore everything! And never stay by myself. Luckily I am only here at the weekends now! 😜

there could be animals spirits-or bug spirits. It explains how those dratted flies keep popping up everywhere-even though you know there was only two in the room originally-and you distinctly remember swatting them-yet they don't seem to have gone-and you just can't seem to catch these blighters!

Yes, both cottages are still standing. All though now vacant. I go back sometimes, it looks just like it always has. 😁

I think my mum has had a few experiences herself, and the house was so active-you couldn't ignore it.

Thanks for the comments-I didn't think anyone would!
