The Truth Shall Set Us Free on 2016-02-18

I had an episode of sleep paralysis last February 8; I discussed it with Mom about it when we were having lunch a day after that. I asked her if she had experienced sleep paralysis because she's not the type of person who tells you everything unless you ask her to. So I asked her, she asked back. Wh...

Strange Experiences In The House on 2012-01-25

I've been a reader here in this website for a year or two because I love ghost stories but it doesn't mean that I believe in ghosts of any kind. I just find it entertaining to read. This is my first time to post here because I badly need an answer. I don't know if this is paranormal I'm experiencing...

Lady-glow: That's a nice insight but I have never heard someone caught an aswang. Because they often flee. Even policemen are aware of these creatures. Law doesn't apply to them. They don't die like humans, like bury them or whatsoever. They just disappear or if wounded, they'd flee and hide outside of that town. They don't hunt/kill their neighbors even though the neighbors knew they're aswang. They hunt for food next town most of the time. I wonder why. 😆

Illumi_zoldyck: Luzon? I think I need to be cautious outside 😨 but Nueva Ecija is in Northern Luzon, right? I'm at South:D But still creepy, I don't know what to do when it strikes us.: (

Sorry about the late reply by the way.

Hello, illumi_zoldyck

So they still exist up to this day. Did this account took place in Visayas? If so, can you tell me the name of the province? I'm really fascinated (more like curious) by these kind of stories. Sad that you weren't able to kill it, but hey, your aunt was safe. Thank God!
Hello, littlelight

Great to hear that the angry lady is gone! That was really creepy! And I'm glad that your family is supportive and helping you.

I'm with Mazz about the sleep paralysis. That's what I was thinking while reading about the lady strangling you.
I think the lady took this opportunity to finally harm you. I know the feeling of being paralyzed during sleep and it is really scary, you couldn't think of anything but to move and wake up! 😨

Thank you for sharing this!

Take care,

Hello, Venom_Snake

I think that the Niño you "saw" was an astral projection. At the time when you "saw" him walking, the real him must be feeling really hungry at the same time and can't stop thinking about going to 7-11 after he finish his work so he subconsciously astral project. (Does this make any sense?)

The doppelganger felt bad towards Niño so he/she decided to grab the food for him instead. 😆 😆

I always thought that seeing doppelgangers indicates bad omen. But I guess, nothing bad happened to your co-worker and Kuya J (from the previous post) right? Thank you for sharing! It slightly changed my views about doppelganger. ^^

I was expecting to be spooked but my heart broke after reading this! I hate when pets die especially dogs! 😭
I'm sorry to hear about D. I'm sure D and your grandfather are looking after you and your family.:)

I agree with Tweed 120%. I can't imagine such cute pets will leave us one day. 😭

Thank you for sharing this touching story of yours!

I didn't say it was a kapre. I just cited an example because I personally know someone who was impregnated by a kapre. I, too, thinks it's engkanto. Great to hear that it doesn't bother your girlfriend anymore. But one last question, do you think it could be killed?

Same here, although I'm far from Cebu, your "distressing investigation" intrigued me.

I didn't think it like that. I thought vicar is about some religious stuff. I do not know much about their rituals. And mostly mumbles their chants/prayers lol they use herbal medicines. I forgot to mention.

At first, I felt bad as I read you couldn't watch Harry Potter, why Harry, why?! But boy, that "help me" part gave me chills!

I'm sorry to ask this, but how did the landlord know that the couple was "cooking" some potions and trying to summon a spirit? If it was me, I'd make sure no one would see me "cooking".
Plus, the landlord knew they were summoning something, is he some kind of a psychic as well? How did he know what they were planning? Maybe they wanted to go back to where they were but couldn't that's why they seek your help.

And I always wonder when people say they don't believe in ghosts but they believe in spirits. What does that mean?

It's okay. Don't worry.:D
Yes and no, it's not a vicar. They don't use much religious stuff against creatures. They only use it against spirits.

[at] 2nd1st/roylynx - I'm not a boy.

I didn't quite follow you but I'll answer according to my understanding. Yes, it is nature spirit. But in Mazzmarach's girlfriend case, it could be either elemental or a bad creature that could shapeshift.

I said there are only few ghost stories than elemental stories because of our culture. Like Mazzmarach said, we have so many islands. So the chances of creatures that inhabit islands, forests, lakes even farms are high especially in provinces.

People run to witch doctors when science (doctors) couldn't explain the cause. They act like paranormal investigator but for elementals, nature spirits and the likes. Mazzmarach is right but I'm going to add that they only use simple equipments that doesn't require electronic devices. They only use leaves, candles, potions, charms, chants/prayers. Some can heal too. When my Mom's friend was bitten by an infected dog, it took a chuck out of her ankle but they have no money to get anti-rabies so they went to a witch doctor. She's fine now and she didn't get infected. He didn't accept any money so they bought him bananas instead.

This is going to sound crazy but do you think the faceless man is finding a mate? Agtas and Kapres impregnate woman that they like and then take it away when it is born. From what I've heard, if you get married and have a child, it might stop. But I'm not sure.

It's a good thing it doesn't show itself (for now)

Take care (of your GF) :D

I feel you! If that happened to me, My reaction would be worse! I'd scream bloody murder even when I see a cockroach! D: but good thing you are *not that* frightened by Anna crawling. I wonder why Anna would crawl like that?! I haven't seen The Exorcist because exorcism movies haunts me for weeks O.O
What does your brother feel towards Anna?

Aaaaand I really feel sleepy in the afternoon then I'd wake up around 2am. My biological clock sucks.

Thank you (in advance) for providing details!

I love your story! But the crawling part reminded me of a Japanese movie called "The Grudge" which is scary.
Even though my eyes hurt because my eyelids are heavy (I'm so sleepy) but I kept on reading.

There's a superstition in our country. That when you're lost into the woods or forest, just invert your clothes and you will find your way back. As you were being played by an elemental. It's a good thing it doesn't apply to this story because your grandma might laugh at you about inverting your clothes lololol 😆 😆

I have two guesses about the deers:
1. They were the ones who casted something on you in order to get lost. Or
2: Something (like protector of the woods) have asked the deers to help you find your way out.

Disturbing but fascinating story though! ^_^

Posts from my fellow countrymen always intrigue me because there are more elemental stories in the provinces than ghost stories.
My first question would be, where did this experience took place? Province? Rural area? Does your girlfriend lives/lived near an old tree or lake that has history? Like "Kwento ni Lola Basyang" as they call it? Sounds elemental to me. Have you tried asking for a help from a witch doctor (albularyo) besides your girlfriend's parent? Because you only mentioned that her parents warded it off temporarily. It wouldn't hurt if you ask an albularyo for help.

I'd say that this is a shapeshifting elemental. I'm not certain but this is what I first thought.

Keep us updated when you have time.

Mhanne ❤

I logged in because like everyone else, it gave me goosebumps! Very well-written account. I could imagine you from a 3rd person's perspective. My guess would be an elemental. If it was being mischievous, why did the voice sounded angry and desperate? It sounded dangerous to me but I don't think it was a demon. Or is it just me overthinking things?

Welcome to YGS!

Hello to my fellow kababayan! 😁

May I ask where in the Philippines this took place?
Well, most trees in the Philippines, especially in the provinces are home to spirits, gnomes, kapre, duwendes, and nuno (as we call it). So this is quite common (here). And I wonder why other countries doesn't have any entities. Your grandmothers aren't that imaginative, eh? Kidding!:D

Did your friends caught fever too? And how did you make amends with the spirit? I'm curious! I have never encountered something like this, fortunately.

Oh, the word " C L O WN " was changed to "PUR P L E PANTS"

I have a question:
I noticed that the word 'clown' was overused in the comments' section. What's the meaning of clown? I'm sure it is not the kind of clown that we hire for childrens' parties.

Hello, Chapulin

May I ask when did this stop? I myself at the age of around ten was the time I was really terrified about ghosts so I can't blame your son about being scared!

My reaction about the fourth one was "OH MY GOD! 😭 "
Now you know why you weren't invited! 😆
Maybe he just wanted to make sure you fulfill his last wishes until he goes to the other side.:)

And the grammar was not bad!

Great accounts!

Wow, how brave and kind of playful to cover your sister's mouth! 😆
I just realized that we may have walked through a spirit at one point in our lives without knowing it... O_O

Thank you for sharing!
