My name is Alison and I live in England. I have three daughters and one son; he passed away before my due date.

I have a strong interest in the paranormal and enjoy hearing true ghost stories. Over the years I've experienced things I can't quite explain so when I post an encounter I welcome comments that can help explain any incident.

Other than that, it's great to 'speak' to so many people on here and I think it's great how - at the touch of a button - people from around the world can communicate with each other.

I respect people from other countries as well as respecting all backgrounds. All I ask is people show an equal amount of respect to me.

If anyone genuine wants to request my friendship on FB then please send me a request to my username Alison EJ. Only genuine requests, please.

Coincidence Or Did I Hear An Incident 20 Miles Away? on 2012-09-19

This story happened in August 2011. My old workplace is situated on a fairly new industrial estate with a main carriageway and a motorway running along either side. This particular morning, I'd just pulled into the car park. Nothing out of the ordinary, to begin with. My routine was pretty mu...

Coming To Say Sorry? on 2012-09-03

In 1994 I had a whirlwind romance and we conceived a daughter. Like many whirlwind romances, we soon hit the reality ground hard, discovering we were not so suited afterall. We parted on bad terms and I was left alone to bring up our daughter. The only contact we had was the monthly paid child s...

Miles Apart... Dying Friend Wanted To Say Goodbye on 2012-09-03

In 1987 my family and their friends holidayed in Spain. I wasn't the only teenager in the party and for the first few days of the two weeks there was plenty of fun and laughter. Like many teenagers, we didn't seem to have a care in the world and spent the days playing in the sea and the evenings try...

The Ghostly Whisper That Saved My Life on 2012-08-27

I can't remember exactly what age I was when this happened, but at a rough guess I was between 10 and 12. My parents had bought me a dog, Dasha, in 1984, and he became my best friend. I'd take him for a walk before I went school and couldn't wait to finish my lessons to run and play about with him. ...

Peculiar Night Visits on 2012-08-20

Before my parents extended their first home it was a modest two-bedroom bungalow. Both bedrooms were situated at the rear of the the bungalow with my parents in one and my older sister and I sharing the other. As a very young child I can't say sleeping on the ground floor bothered me at all, even th...

Great story.

How scary the car followed you into the drive.

At first I thought you were going to say they lived there.

On many occassions, when a car has been tailing me, I've turned into a random street only to be followed. Turns out the car only followed me as its driver happened to live in that street.

In your case though, it seems to have wanted to scare you.

There are other factors in this. Are you sure it wasn't plain clothed police checking you out?

Thanks for sharing.

Such a brilliant story.

I really enjoy reading about ghost cars and road ghosts.

Do you regularly use this stretch of road and would you ever go back if not?

Thanks for sharing, this is going in my favourites!

Whitehorse,

This is one of the most touching stories I have read.

You must feel honoured your friend chose to visit you one last time.

I'm glad Michael doesn't frighten you and it's great you find it comforting him being there.

Great story.

Hi to LakotaWinyan and everybody here,

I've not been on here for a while, but congratulations, Lakota, on the arrival of your new baby.

Sounds like you had one heck of an experience in the hospital.

Great story!

Cliney, sorry for my late reply, but what an interesting story. Thank goodness you did listen to your instincts and decide the bungalow was not for you.

And once a home is on the market it's always on the market. Just a little saying I've heard.

This one is going into my favourites.

I have to agree with lady-glow and rookdygin.

How can anyone offer advice when your story doesn't add up?

You state you have a question for those who have kept up with your story and made it this far. Is this something that means have we spotted the mistake?

Also, and I mean this with the greatest of respect, you say in October it was still dark at half four, but in Australia, wouldn't it be kind of light at that time of year? I've not been to Sydney so please somebody correct me on this, I'm just curious.

Interesting story, Rookdygin.

I believe because you expressed your remorse and apologised, the forgiving spirits were only too happy to show you their acknowledgement.

Glad you made your peace with the spirits. I really enjoyed the part where you saw the mist. I am intrigued by anything suggestive of road ghosts.

daydreamer24,

What a scary yet sad story. I'm so glad you chose not to give in to fear and realise the spirits meant you no harm.

I hope they aren't permanently locked in the sadness of the house and realise they can move on to a much safer place.

Thanks for sharing,

laurenfl,

I have to agree with Rook. Way too graphic.

Samtillie,

It is a bit harsh of you stating people have given irrelevant feedback on here.

WIth the greatest respect, the storyteller asked for advice and that's what he got.

If something doesn't appear to be paranormal then why make the teller believe it is?

Hi Jav,

I've studied the photograph again and yes, you could be right. I think on our left, I can see a slight outline of a frame; I may be wrong, but I think I can see it. Not sure about on our right, though.

Jav and Miracles,

I also wanted to vote on Miracles comment, but for some reason I can't.

I totally agree with Miracles on this one.

I have to agree with many posters here and say this photograph is fake.

Wow! What a creepy photograph. It gave me the chills.

This is one of the creepiest photographs I've seen.

Very creepy. I wonder if the new residents are experiencing anything.

The spirit probably has a connection with your old home.

Interesting story. I was wondering how long you have lived in your home.

Have you suffered any different experiences? If this is a new occurence, I wonder what is triggering such events. Have you suffered a recent trauma or is their stress due to a change in your routine.

I know a lot of questions, but I'm curious as to how everything fits together.

If you don't feel threatened by the entity then it probably isn't going to do you any harm, but it may be trying to get your attention so you are aware of something.

UnknownAbilities,

With the greatest of respect, I believe most burglars opt for a quiet break-in and wouldn't switch on a music system to attract attention while they raided the family silver. Even more confusing is that if they had accidentally knocked the music appliance they wouldn't have repeated this mistake again and if they had, they would have pulled the plug.

Personally, I would have either checked out the noise or stayed in my room until I felt confident enough to investigate or wait until another family member arrived. I wouldn't have climbed out of the window.

As you ruled out signs of an intruder I wonder if you are a little nervous and jump to conclusions without searching for a rational explanation first.

Maybe it is paranormal, maybe it isn't, but sometimes it does one good to think outside of the box.

MattyDude,

Your style of writing is unique and also made me chuckle and I agree with cosmogal about you having a great personality! Shame on the bully though.

Following on from what Javelina said, I too, from time to time, hear warnings or just know something is about to happen. I try to shut it off, but you have inspired me to keep tuned in!

Thanks for sharing your great story and sorry for the late comment,

Lakota73 😊
