My name is Adrianne, but I go by Addie. I am currently a customer service agent for a hotel chain, but am also a tattoo apprentice, and will hopefully be a tattoo artist within the next year.

Ever since I was a youngster I have had a very intense interest in the paranormal and the unexplained... Mainly because I am sensitive to different energies. I can't speak with or hear ghosts or anything like that, but I can sense when they are around, and can usually sense if they are positive or negative. Because of that I have immersed myself in learning about about these topics, and consider myself relatively educated about it. I just recently found this website, and am intregued by some of the stories. I usually only post comments when I feel that my advice would benifit someone, other than that I am usually shy about saying anything. The only exception to that is if I am approached by someone asking for my help, then I am an open book and kind of hard to keep quiet. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

My Ouija Party on 2013-04-15

My one and only experience with a Ouija board took place when I was a teenager, around 15 years old. I was hosting a slumber party so there was myself and my friends Cami, Tiffany, Nikki, and Cat (names have been changed). Nikki was getting ready to move to another city, so this was one last get tog...

First I want to commend you on how incredibly brave you are for putting yourself and your story out there. I know first hand how challenging and incredibly scary it can be to allow people to read what happened to you. I absolutely applaud you for taking your symptoms seriously and trying to find out what is going on. I personally have suffered PTSD myself due to something very similar to what you went through. Symptoms of PTSD can manifest themselves in so many ways, and each person may not be affected the same as the next person. I am by no means a professional, but I definitely think that what you are experiencing is due to your PTSD. If you are not already, you should really try to find a counselor, they helped me tremendously when I was having a difficult time with my PTSD. I hope the best for you, and will definitely be sending positive vibes toward you! ❤

Valkricry-I'm very lucky to have a family that believes in the paranormal, and that I have a large support system when things start to go haywire. Amie-I honestly don't remember, it was about 15 years ago that this happened, and I had my eyes closed the whole time because I was scared, and really I had already known that I was never going to use the board again, so I didn't really pay attention to what was going on because I knew I wouldn't need to do it again. Badjuujuu-One of the reasons for sharing the story was in hopes that it would enlighten people as to what can happen. Wyland-I kept in touch with her for a few months after that... Nikki and her family moved around a lot (military family), and a few months after she moved the first time after the incident she moved again, and we just lost touch after a while. I did talk to her after the board was closed, and she said that the stuff stopped with her too.
This just about made me tear up. I lost my dad a little over 4 years ago, and he makes his presence known every once in a while to let me know he is with me. Thank you for sharing your story... It makes me comforted to know that others out there are able to experience the feeling you get when you know your loved ones are watching over you. ❤
Thanks Val! But like Badjuujuu said, no apologies needed:) But hugs right back! I don't mind being a member of a pack as long as I don't get any fleas LOL. 😉
Hotrod: Please correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't being interested in, as you say, the occult (I prefer the term paranormal myself) also mean to try to debunk anything that is fake? And in doing so, wouldn't one want to ask questions for clarification if something doesn't make sense (as you put it, being a sherlock holmes wannabe)? It seems that on most of your posts you seem to be absolutely certain that you are the most absolute correct on everything, even though over half of what you say makes no sense at all. NO ONE is ever 100% fully aware or "in the know" of everything paranormal. And, please show me where she copy and pasted her remark from, since what I see is questions in direct relation to the op's story, and is not a repeat remark from somewhere else. It almost seems as though you would like for the "wolf pack" to come breathing down your neck, as someone who says something like that is obviously fully aware of what may happen when saying such things.

Thank you so much for clearing that up! I really appreciate it! 😆
I'm sorry, I'm still kind of new here... What exactly does "OP" or "O/P" stand for?

I actually applaude you for asking the questions to learn. It's sad that you would feel as though people would jump down your throat or bite your head off by asking about stuff like that... We can only learn by asking questions, right? I guess that just show what the state of some (not all) of our society is.

Anywhoo...I don't believe that there really is any clear cut answer to the question, as everyone has different opinions, and consider themselvs to be one thing while someone else may believe it to be another. For instance, I have a friend that considers herself to be athist and does not believe in God, but believes in ghosts and other paranormal beings. I have another friend that considers himself to be athiest, and does not believe in anything...god, ghosts, aliens, does not believe in anything, but rather that we are mearly energy that disperses once we die into the network of energy that sparks all life. I would consider myself agnostic, leaning toward Pagan beliefs. There are just so many individual beliefs that it is really hard to find one cookie cutter definition of being athiest. That's my opinion anyway... Hope that helps 😊

Thank you for that story! I have always believe that children are way more sensitive to spirits, since their minds are more open and don't really question whether or not if it is real. My daughter is 6 and still communicates with past relatives:)

Autumn105, just because nothing bad has happened yet, it doesn't mean that it won't. I am new to this site, and this is my first comment, but I am pretty experienced in the paranormal and such. You really shouldn't be "playing" with a ouija board, especially if you are not experienced in it. It basically is a portal, or window if you will, to allow whatever wants to come through it if they choose to do so. You never really know what is coming through... Not everything coming through is a dark energy, but a lot of the time dark energies and disguise themselves to make it look like they are not. You never know what might try to attach itself to you. They are not safe unless you are working on it with someone that is experienced and know what they are doing when opening or closing the board... And even then it can be extreamly dangerous. Seriously think about it the next time you are thinking about working on one. My advice is to just stay completely away from them. You said your self that your friend has been cut but not sure from what. I will admit working with one when I was younger before I actually understood what can come from it, and trust me, and sometimes it isn't pretty. I was lucky enough to have a very close friend of my mom to help me in knowing what to do to make it stop, and ever since then I won't even go near one. But seriously... Be careful
