Ghost Stories from Benny_Lundon

Norman Park Hauntings on 2016-12-07

It's been some time since my first posting here on YGS, so I offer my apologies for my tardiness in setting out another eerie story from my youth (life gets in the way of things as we know). This tale takes place 5 years after the events of the New Farm ghost story I had posted earlier. So settle ...

A New Farm Ghost on 2013-08-19

I've not long discovered this site and read many of your great experiences. Now I guess it's about time I tell you one of several true events I've witnessed. It all started when I was a young lad of 14 and living with my father and younger brother. We were renting a 3 bedroom house in New Farm, a...

Hi jeffinaustx, welcome and thanks for the great read.
I know I'd have launched out of bed if the duvet made a move on me like that, creepy stuff 😨.
Wish I had the money to visit that Hotel, enjoy the rest of your stay there and let us know if anything happens.
Regards, Benny.

Oh dear me, what can I say besides, make room on that fence. I sure hope it's not one of those picket ones... Again 😉
Greetings sslaton63,
My condolences on you and your family's sad loss.
I feel your Husband was, perhaps, trying to just make you aware that things are alright and dropped in for a parting visit. My hope is you all find peace through this undoubtedly difficult period.
Regards, Benny.
P.S, Welcome you Y.G.S, please be sure to keep us updated if there are any further occurrences.

Hello Lollipopspace,
I can't help but think this is merely the overactive imaginings of a teen, to be taken with a grain of salt, Hell, a tablespoon of salt. Interesting read either way though it does seem a little "dramatic" for want of a better word.
I'm trying to keep an open mind regarding this posting but, snahhhh.

Regards, Benny.

Hi Tweed,Yep, the guitarist from Deep Purple is utter crap (Thump thump thump). Seems like H disagrees with Dad, letting his feelings be known. Pffttt, it's only a "Fox".
Keep these great real life stories coming.

Kindest regards, Benny.

Hi Tweed, Interesting story,
Sounds as if it may have been "mechanical" in nature, a probe of some sort perhaps, especially showing what could be described as "intelligent" movement by avoiding objects skillfully. It would be interesting to find out just what it could be, extra-terrestrial,spiritual or man made? Either way, it must have caused great excitement.

Regards, Benny.

Hi Tweed,
Wonderful story and well told. I can't help have the feeling your Grandad didn't want you to enjoy what may have been a pleasant experience whilst choosing that ring.
I can only imagine what he was like (I've had my own dealings with violent abusive people), perhaps he didn't want you to feel any feelings of pleasure or enjoyment at that time? Sad either way.

As an aside... I'll be sure to post another story soon.
Not sure if I should send the one about Granny's ghost or Mr Jones, both interesting stories.
Regards, Benny.

Hi DarkStar, Firstly, sorry about the tardiness of my reply. (life getting in the way of leisure again) Very interesting concept, I've wondered about that before, whether they have that ability I hazard a guess, who know.
Eitherway it was a little perplexing for want of a better word.
Mind you, missing keys were the last of my worries compared to other events that occurred there.

Kindest regards,
Benny.

Hey Laura0943, part two really spoke to me of a spirit that had your best interests at heart, so much that he even found the proposed route "Ach! Boring!" And his affirmation he was still with you, how gallantly protective. What got me though were his parting words "Enjoy your life", how does one respond to that than take him at his word. So touching and heart warming, he obviously had a soft spot for you.
Kindest regards; Benny.

Hi Laura0943, great story, thanks for posting.
How delightful that he apologised for hurting your arm then told you how you're safe and can sleep as he is on guard.
I doubt I could have remained as calm as you though 😆
Cheers; Benny.

Hi Paranormal_SN, Great writing, thanks.
I feel as though you experienced sleep paralysis that night, scary enough in its own right. It would be interesting to find out if previous or current tenants have experienced something similar.
Could be sleep paralysis or it could be something all together different?
Hi Manafon, thanks for posting, great read and can't wait for part2.
My thoughts regarding the argumentative voices would be residual, even though one of the voices seemed as if it were from the "living'. Perhaps the emotion of the initial argument were enough to imprint it on the surroundings?
As a child I feel we're more open to spirits etc, before we've learned to hate, fear, doubt and all those things that come from "growing up".

Hi Tweed, Thanks for the input. The ghost in the link you provided is a different one, though odd how often you hear about water and spirits.

Hi Spiritwaiting, I took my time getting back 😆
Glad you enjoyed the story. I do hope she found peace and moved on also.
Regards; Benny.

What a lovely and interesting story, thanks for sharing.
Looks as though he was being watched over during his illness.
Tender really and not at all "preachy".
Regards; Benny.

Hi Spiritwaiting, It is odd how they do seem to size us up for a while.
Oh yes, dad was quite the alcoholic and a Scotsman so you can very well imagine. The house we were renting before was ghost free and it was his usual caper there also.
I'm sorry if you went through something similar, not pleasant at all.
More stories to come shortly,
Kind regards; Benny.

Hi roylynx, No, I actually lived in that house. I don't know if the previous tenants had any troubles there though.
My Dads' friend Kevin lived in that neighborhood in the 50's and knew of the old woman that used to live there, if that's any help?
Cheers; Benny. 😁

Hi Curly,
Sounds as though your Son had some great experiences, he's sure braver than me. Personally I wouldn't go looking for them. As [at] roylynx mentions, have your Son do a cleansing now and then. Better to be safe than sorry.
