Growling And Nightnoises on 2014-07-07

Wow. It's been quite awhile since I've posted amything here. I've been waiting for something more unusual to happen before I actually posted another story. A few things have happened, but I'll start with the scariest. It was about an hour ago that this occured. I was lying in bed, browsing this ...

In The Corner Of My Eye, And Misbehaving Doors on 2013-12-17

I am still confused, and unsure of whether or not to believe in the existence of ghosts. My religion teaches that once you are out of your body, you are either in Heaven or Hell; there is no in between limbo state. Perhaps all that people are seeing are angels and demons messing around with their mi...

I Can Feel Ghosts on 2013-11-12

I never really believed in ghosts. But I am starting to change my mind. About a year ago, when I lived in my family's old house, I was laying in bed. The lights were odd and I was just dozing off. That was when I felt it; a cat, jumping onto my bed and curling up beside me on my blanket. I don...

Griff84:. You may be right; I felt an earthquake awhile ago when my bed started shaking, so that may be causing things to fall over or bang around.:)
Samtille: I doubt that a mouse could make such a horrible noise! Lol.
MyNameIsBill: The previous owners were an elderly French couple, and they didn't have any pets as far as I am aware. This house is very new; they bought it right after it was built.
Tuesday: I LOVE Hanz Zimmer. Believer88: Awesome title:D and great story! Keep us updated?
Wow. I don't think you have anything to worry about, as it obviously didn't hurt you. It was probably just trying to get your attention. On another note, all I could think when I read the title of your story was, "Snape. Snape. Severus Snape. DUMBLEDORE!"

Josephgogi: I know. I have literally no idea what's going on, but it keeps happening.
lady-glow: That's probably what was going on with the cords, lol. I never thought of that. As for the door, I checked the hinges and nothing's rusty; I'm even more freaked now. Do you suppose if I oil them anyway it would quit opening randomly?

Scary567: I would ignore it, but it happens only when I least expect it.
I think lostghostgirl might be on to something. The lady was Asian, right? She might have had something to do with the tapes and the panda bear.

One thing confuses me. In one of your earlier stories, you said that your dog was a puppy, and that when you moved, she seemed more comfortable in the new house. In one of your later stories you say that she is an older dog, and was not comfortable anywhere except for in your bedroom. Could you clear that up a bit?

Woah, that's spooky. As a Christian, I don't believe in dead humans coming back to haunt the living, but I do think it might have been demonic. Especially the three scratches. Apparently, demons tend to do that to people. I would call out to Jesus and ask Him and His angels to protect you.

Huh. Cross legged with glowing white eyes... Sounds like the Avatar! Lol.
Anybody seen Supernatural? Maybe the guy was a demon. They always have black eyes.

Aw! I don't think you need to be afraid of Lillie, I think she just wants attention. And maybe you should tell your daughter that you saw her and that you believe her.

Josephgogi, Spiritwaiting: I don't think it was a hallucination. I didn't see anything, but I definately felt that something was there.

Pablo- That's different. I mean like people and animals who were once living but come back to haunt others. I mean, shouldn't they be in Heaven or Hell?

SDS-- Actually, my grandfather himself is not dead. But I am convinced it is the cat.:)

Brentten-- Cool! I am personally a Christian, but we do believe there is a "spirit world" close to our own. Thinking that Charlie has not moved on because he loves me, of all people... That makes me tear up.

I just realized there was another cat who died. I had pushed the memory out of my head. His name was Beans and he belonged to some friends of my family. I found his body mauled to death by dogs in the desert... Could it be him, possibly, and not Charlie? I don't know...

I just don't know why he would choose me. I've always thought he liked my grandfather better. He died a couple of years ago, why would his ghost be showing up now? I just can't make sense of any of it. All I know is that a ghost cat is haunting me and that it's probably Charlie.

[at] cm22pepe, That's interesting, because I was talking about it with my mum the other day. And though she doesn't fully believe me, she pointed out that perhaps it was my Grandfather's cat, Charlie. I was very attatched to him and was absolutely heartbroken when he died. I still can't think of him without tearing up. But why would Charlie's ghost be haunting me specifically? I have about thirty cousins who also loved him dearly. I'm nothing special, especially compared to them, why would he choose me? It just doesn't make any sense. Sorry for rambling.

No, I haven't noticed anything else. The cat is usually the ghost that sits on my bed. Sometimes it shifts, to get more comfortable, I suppose. I can feel its paws press down on my bed when it does that. But nothing more. Any thoughts?
There's one thing in this story that stands out to me. The ghost scratched you on the back? Read "When Jerry Attacks", another story on this site. The same thing happened to a woman in the shower, and she was also on the floor and in shock. One of the people who commented said that demons often scratch people with three marks on their back to mock the Trinity. I think they're onto something there.
