Rebecca's Apartment Guest on 2017-06-23

I have another true story to share with you that began last summer when a young woman named Rebecca moved into an apartment which is located next door to my house in Pointe-Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. One morning shortly after moving into her new place, Rebecca came over to my house and she was vi...

Come Here, Ruby 2 on 2016-06-02

This story is a continuation of my submission entitled "Come Here, Ruby" regarding my experience hearing a disembodied female voice in the upstairs hallway calling my dog, Ruby, in the middle of the night. Ruby heard it too and reacted by quickly raising her head and wagging her tail after being rou...

Come Here, Ruby on 2015-12-08

I live in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada with my boyfriend, Graham and our 2 German Shepherds Maggie and Saxon. We also have an American Pit Bull/German Shepherd cross named Riley who I have nicknamed Ruby. Our home was built in 1870 and we have been living here for approximately 1½ years. I have had ...

Church Street Ghost (part 2) on 2015-09-29

I have another 100% true story to share with you regarding the same house on Church Street as well as my former neighbor Charlie's house. One night around 11:00 p.m., I had completed my usual routine of locking the doors and closing the windows in my old Victorian home before going to bed. As I ...

Entity On Ducharme Street on 2014-11-27

These strange but true experiences happened to me during winter 2001, when I lived in an triplex apartment on Rue Ducharme in Hull, Quebec, Canada. Every night around 1:00 a.m. I used to hear the sound of furniture moving above my apartment. My apartment was located on the second floor of my bui...

Church Street Ghost on 2014-11-26

My true story happened in the fall of 2001 when I was living in a beautiful old Victorian home with my 4 year old daughter. The house is located on Church Street in Buckingham, Quebec, Canada where it still stands to this day. One day I was alone in the house as my daughter was spending the day ...

I agree, it's entirely possible that this entity is attached to the land itself and may have amassed enough energy over the years to manifest itself the way it did.

Come to think of it, there is an interesting story about this property regarding the original owner Mr. Onesime Lafontaine and his neighbor Mr. Lachapelle that dates back to the late 1800s or early 1900s.

Apparently, one day Mr. Lafontaine's horse broke loose and completely destroyed their neighbor, Mr. Lachapelle's, garden. Mr. Lachapelle subsequently sued Mr. Lafontaine for the damages incurred. Apparently it took years to settle the matter in court and Mr. Lafontaine struggled to pay the legal fees. As a result, Mr. Lafontaine resorted to selling his land a few acres at a time in order to cover the outstanding debt until he had sold all of his property and basically lost his farm. If it's Onesime Lafontaine's spirit roaming this property, he would have had nearly 150 years to amass the amount of energy it would take to flip heavy wooden chairs and a large fridge. A likely candidate.

Another theory: Sadly, there are also two suicides which are linked to this house as explained in my previous post called (Come Here, Ruby 2). Perhaps one of these two spirits is still connected to this house and the building next door?

And a final theory: Rebecca's mother passed away when Rebecca was only 8 years old. However, at the time Rebecca was living in her apartment next door, she was dating this person who was not a very nice man (I am being tactful and diplomatic here). Perhaps, Rebecca's mother was trying to protect Rebecca from her boyfriend? Maybe it was Rebecca's mother who stormed out the door frustrated because we didn't understand what she was trying to communicate at that time? I am happy to say, Rebecca and her nasty boyfriend have since parted ways.:)

For now all is quiet in my old home. May they all finally rest in peace.

Thank you for your comments.

The building is attached to the West side of my house. I have no idea if any of the previous tenants in Rebecca's apartment have experienced any paranormal activity. There are a total of three apartments in that building, but I have never asked the other tenants if they have had any paranormal experiences in their respective apartments.

Rebecca didn't take any photos or record any videos that I am aware of.

I agree, this entity was very strong indeed since it could flip wooden chairs and topple fridges. I am equally surprised that it just stormed past us and out the front door that day without putting up some sort of fight or completely trashing the apartment on the way out.

I truly hope that if it was human, he/she has found peace and moved into the light. If it was not human, I can only pray that it never returns to harm anyone. Once again, time will tell.

Hi Miracles,

No, my daughter has never experienced anything paranormal in this house because she lives in another city where she is currently attending college. However, my daughter has had her own paranormal experiences in other locations as well - but that's another story.

Thank you for your comments.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced anything strange in this house. I often wonder about that and I think it would be interesting to talk to a few of the former tenants or owners.

As to Robert D and Linda B - May they both finally rest in peace.

Hi Antu,

Thank you for your comment.

To answer your question regarding her accent, she definitely spoke with a Central Canadian English accent and not a British accent.

I have recently discovered some of the first settlers in this area were English-speaking families. As a result, there is a definite possibility it may be one of the former ladies of this house who hasn't left and apparently has taken a shine to my dog, "Ruby".

I intend to do more research on this house to determine who the previous owners were and I will continue to post any new paranormal experiences which may occur in the future.

JUST FOR THE RECORD: After having read a comment regarding dream catchers and "squaws" (which I have included below), I would like to point out that at no time ever is it politically correct or acceptable to refer to an Aboriginal female as a "Squaw" as this is a derogatory and contemptuous term at best. I have been making AUTHENTIC dream catchers for years and I am Metis - so you don't have to be 100% Native to make authentic dream catchers either. The Dream Catcher's web was made with deer sinew (tendon) and NOT dried animal intestines. If readers are interested in learning about Native spirituality, customs and traditions, address your questions to AUTHENTIC Grandmothers and Grandfathers who will not mislead you and use derogatory terms loosely.

You just asked on another story if a Dream Catcher can be ''bad''. The legend of the Dream Catcher is that Native Americans would make a Dream Catcher to put over a baby to let good dreams and catch the bad dreams. The next morning it would be taken outside and the bad dreams were shaken out. First and foremost they are round and secondly they were NOT made out of string they used washed then dried animal intestines that were cut into long thin strips while still wet. Then interwoven like spiders web the round outside was wrapped in either fur or leather -whichever was more plentiful- then that was wrapped in thin strips of leather, decorated with feathers beads maybe bone. I've made a few myself. Now that you have the history of them, if in fact it was made by a Native American then no, there is no such thing as a ''bad'' Dream Catcher. BUT they have been mass produced in China now and I've never heard of a triangular one that is made with only 2 sticks so I don't know what you have. I have seen Mandallas called Dream Catchers but it doesn't make it so. A Mandalla is a painting on tanned leather, usually animals and a squaw.

For the record: Once again, I would like to repeat the fact that I WAS WIDE AWAKE so I definitely was NOT in a dream state when this experience occurred. Also, I clearly SAW the hand print on my thigh however no bruises were left behind. And last but not least, I think being rendered completely immobilized by an unseen force would certainly be classified as having had something happen. LOL!
RED WOLF: My stories were not posted in chronological order. The experience with the disembodied male voice I heard in my bedroom happened first. The half-man apparition in my kitchen happened shortly afterward.
Thank you for your comments Revajane & ifihadyoux.

Because of the strange metallic sound I clearly heard prior to being rendered completely immobilized, I can see why an alien abduction would come to mind, but in all honesty I really don't know WHAT actually caused this to happen (ghost/alien/old hag/other?). I do know that I never want to experience that sensation ever again.

Also, I am 100% positive I was wide awake and I was not dreaming at that time which made this experience all the more terrifying.
