Chest Pain on 2015-11-09

This has been going on for years. I don't exactly know what it is. I don't think it is a ghostly encounter, but it does leave me stumped. I cannot find a reason for this experience at all, which is why I a posting it on here. I noticed this happened a few years back. I was trying to sleep, rolli...

Thanks to all of you people who took the initiative to comment on my experience especially ms_st0308, kind of makes me want to go to the doctors even though i'm afraid of the needle i'm suppose to get.
I apologize for the late reply as it was the holidays and I was being a bogan-head and didn't want to do anything productive. And I am a female if I confused any one, I thought it was a given. But this experience has stopped 😆 and I hope it won't happen again.

lady-glow,
I was thinking of seeking religious help but I can't at the moment as I am busy with assessments and an exam, but I will do it as soon as I can.

Caz,
Hormonal changes may be a factor, but probably not the cause. Curious as to how hormonal changes instigate homesickness.

I probably did not explain anything properly, I don't think I can. Funny enough this did stop occurring after I submitted this, and a few articles but nothing much. I may see a doctor but that is not of imminent importance.
Thank you for commenting.
Boeing747,
You say that you get lifted off the bed. Is it your whole body being lifted or just your limbs? Are you just floating there?
Our brain can take in 11,000,000 pieces of information a second, and can only process an estimate 40 of them. So if you can only process roughly 40 things per second, what happens to the 10,999,960 pieces of information you do not process? So most of what we perceive is a common misconception, what the brain makes up.
So what you may be thinking you are feeling from this "hand" may be a misconception.
I highly doubt that an entity would hang around for 10 years without any progression from touch. I am not doubting the validity of your experience, just questioning what you think is going on.
It is very childish of you to state
"With this, and after all that in depth explanation, I will not entertain any debunking theories as I don't have time to write a novel on why you are wrong."
But then select "I will participate in the discussion and I need help with what I have experienced."
When I signed up, I was well aware that this was a forum for open discussion and that I will be criticized. The theories suggested here is that it was not what you thought it is and possible reasons for it, but you insist that it is a demonic haunting that is wanting people to put the BS blankie on this experience. And your name calling and attacking of people supports this observation.
Hope you do heed to warning.

ThirteenStars15,
While reading this I was profusely confused. In my understanding this didn't match up.
The first part, I was agreeing that you were experiencing sleep paralysis and the beginnings of an OBE. And then you state:

"The catch is... In most 'Sleep Paralysis' stories I read online, they are often awake at that time. But, I know I wasn't awake!"

You say that while you are experiencing this, you are not awake? If these PHYSICAL sensations are happening to your body, while you are not conscious, what is stopping me from saying that this may not be real, that you may be hallucinating? How can you be aware of what your body is going through if you are not conscious during the time it is happening? I'm not doubting whether this experience is true or not, just trying to understand this.

This keeps me thinking of the "body asleep, mind awake" state that people (and i) attempt for various goals, and I think this is why you (and a lot more people) think that they are dreaming in this state. Because your body is paralyzed, often cannot talk, and your eyes are shut, your not awake, but not asleep even, so people would often confuse this with sleeping.

Oddly enough, this does sound like what I experience on some nights, but I in a somewhat intense manner. I do hope you find out the reasons why this is happening and how you can control it or overcome it.

cynthia59,
Because you were asleep when this happened and that you came out of REM sleep and probably groggy and disorientated, your body or brain would not have caught up with you, and still thought you were asleep, so thus acted out what happened in the dream, making you see/hear/feel anything your brain is telling you is happening. This is why physical evidence is needed to think otherwise. Was there any evidence that the bed shaked? Like the bed moved to the other side of the room? Or a few centimeters. Or was anyone else experiencing this at the same time you were? Were you paralyzed before the bed shaked or after, could it have been sleep paralysis, another symptom of your body not realizing you are awake.
Why did you think to call out your father's name? In a situation like that I would call someone is in the house and would answer.

Hi Miracles, saw the link in blocking ghosts and just wanted to say my brother was also born on the 31 of October.

Ilight,
When you mentioned "I woke up and could barely move. I tried to get up but I kept on slumping back onto my bed."
How exactly was it like. Were you paralyzed, and if you tried moving you couldn't move your limbs all the way? Or every time you moved, you'd fall back down? Was it a heavy feeling?
I ask this because it does have a resemblance to sleep paralysis. Every time I successfully induce sleep paralysis it feels like i'm heavy, and if I try to move it would feel floppy and painful.
I do agree with Dreamer01 that you may be reading into things too much. If your Grandpa was trying to communicate with you, I think it would be in a way you would understand.
I do understand why you would want to find out if the time was significant to you, but sometimes they don't mean anything, and others do.
In the middle ages, artists who wanted to depict demons had very few details from the bible as how they'd appear, so they conjured images from other older traditions that had already decided what demons looked like.
Most common depictions were of demonization of the pagan deities, most common Pan, God of all. With such imagery as hindquarters, legs, and horns of a goat, in the same manner as a faun or satyr, with the torso of a human. This demonization was most likely conducted by the Christians to popularize Christianity and demoralize Paganism.

In later centuries this depiction evolved to a more human figure-after the French and American revolutions-to a more Apollo like figure. "By the 18th century, he's ennobled, almost looking like an Apollo," Barryte says - as seen in Thomas Stothard's "Satan Summoning His Legions," from 1790. "People interpreted the figure less as demonic creature and more as heroic rebel against the oppression of the paternal god," Barryte says. These renderings were also influenced by John Milton's Paradise Lost, which drew Satan as an almost pitiable tragic hero.

In the 19th century, the publication of Goethe's Mephistopholes in Faust and Mark Twain's Mysterious Stranger influenced artists to portray Satan as much more of "a sly, cunning, dandyish type of figure," as Barryte says. "Instead of scaring people into sin and intimidating them, he now uses persuasion." And he has to look appropriate for the part: more weasely than bestial. This trickster side of Satan is seen in a bronze statue depicting him as Mephistopholes, by the artist Ude.

While the image of Satan as a red, winged, horned figure persists in today's popular imagination, contemporary artists have bestowed the devil with the most human likenesses to date.

In Jerome Witkin's 1978 painting "The Devil as Tailor," Satan portrayed not as a standard devil at all, but as an ordinary-looking person sewing uniforms for the Nazis during World War II. "Hanging around him in lurid lighting are SS uniforms, prisoner uniforms," Barryte says. "The devil has become us, in a way, he's less personified as some evil creature. It's the human who creates hell on Earth." Curator Bernard Barryte.
Different viewpoints on the image of Satan throughout the ages are dependent of the time frame and human culture.

Redwolf,
I'd advise you to check it again, and if you still can't find it, look in the Oxford Dictionary of proverbs, page 123 under G.

Mimi81,
I do sometimes miss the whole point of things. Once when I read a book, and I completely missed the plot, I later found out when I watched the movie that the guy got molested by his aunt.
But the proverb was quoted by many people, including Joseph P. Kennedy, Frank Leahy, an album by Bow Wow Wow, and song from Billy Ocean. It's been quoted in The Lion King and The Cosby Show.

Shelbyloree, Mimi81
I didn't think the granny was malevolent to children, and connected the bad feeling of the house to bad chi/prana/energy.
When I quoted the proverb, I was not quoting a verse from the book of proverbs, as in the bible, but an English proverb. As in a collection of wise sayings that every culture has. Famous proverbs are "when the going gets tough, the tough gets going", and "hope for the best, but prepare for the worst", English Proverb.

Er hem, excuse me Shelbyloree, where are you getting your information from? Your sources are clearly unsecured and you are deeply misinformed.
"Be not deceived with the first appearance of things, for show is not substantial", Proverb.
I can look like I work for a strip club and still give lollies to children and visit cancer patients. So excuse me for beating up my husband but not touch a hair on a child.

ZZsgranny,
No, no, I just wanted midnight (j) ade to be able to chose to put up the link because I didn't think it should be me to put the link up, but your toes should be massaged. 😉

zzsgranny,
I do appreciate that you found the link but I was going to leave it up to Midnight (J) ade to clear it up the origins of the experience

Heyyyy,
Guess what? Found a story exactly like this on the Gods and Monsters website. 😊 😊 😉
But i'm glad this story is on this site because it is much more regal than the Gods and Monsters website, and that site has a lot of spam.

Roconnor,
I agree with tweed about the OBE. While I was reading this experience I thought "Unconscious OBE", which is what I am leaning to.
What supports this observation is that Rachael is a skeptic and wouldn't embrace this "ability".
Sometimes (not always) people do experience OBEs during sleep paralysis.
But what baffles me is the reason for this. If her consciousness was in her ether-body during the OBE, and because I don't think she would want to experience this, she would have thought it a dream. Because OBEs and dreaming are similar, but not the same, people do confuse the two while experiencing it. Sometimes when people do have OBEs, they don't remember it, so if Rachel was having an OBE that she confused it with dreaming, so would most likely forget it. Similar to not remembering how a dream began or finished.
If she was traveling the etheric realms why would she disappear after you sighted her? I highly doubt she had the great idea to go see the Nile. 😉
The next likely explanation is a ghost (like tweed mentioned), but why disappear after you saw it? Maybe because you were not concentrating, you saw someone walk into the room, but while your focus was pinpointed on where you saw the person, you were not able to see it again, because you focused too hard.

Redwolf, I do know what you are referring to, your relatives knew that you wouldn't mind them being there and that you would know that they are there, but what would happen if they are not anyone you knew? What if someone wanted to let you know they were there? But in some cases people don't want you to know they are there, that they want to harm you. It still differs from person to person.

Lawluck,
Parker Bros. Is a company that manufactures toys at mass production. That doesn't mean that every item that they produce and put their name on it would work efficiently and would last long. It also means that most of the time companies would want to rush the production process and make the quality low and the quantity even bigger, just to put their products on the market to produce a bigger revenue 10 times larger than they used for the production of their products. So when Parker Bros. Mass produces Ouija Boards, there is no guarantee that they have your best interests on mind.

"a company like parker bros with all its attorney's etc would never release a "game" that caused its customers to be haunted."
That like saying because Apple puts high tech things in their products means their iPhone's screen will not break.

You stated "They have sold over 3 million boards since 1971 so your telling me 3 million plus people are all haunted now. Doesn't make sense when you think about it logically."

I have thought about it logically and have decided that not everyone who is in possession of an Ouija board would be "haunted". You do say that you dab in the OB more than a few times, and I can say that you are one of the people would have not been possessed by anything.

If a person is bright enough to sage their house, wouldn't they be able to comprehend to light a sage scented candle during the session? Or use other means of protection?

Why is it that you would think to have a seance in your school? That is not what people would usually do at school, but whatever rocks your boat.

I don't suggest you do another seance without some prior knowledge or by yourself, as it is harmful.

Shelby,
I do think this experience is a possible residue Haunting and that you may be have emphatic abilities as you picked up on the energy in the haunting and was able to (to an extent) relive the energy footprint left in the house.
I cannot determine in this experience whether you are a empath-Clairsentience or empath-psychic, and am curious as to whether you have had similar experiences.
