That'll Do Pig. That'll Do on 2015-10-28

I'm not going to disclose several specific things in this submission because it would make me immediately identifiable to anyone who knew me that read this. I've lived in a region of Mississippi for 20 years now and I'm a lawyer. I've been with the same firm the entire time. As I've stated and / ...

First Old Home In The Country on 2015-10-19

Shortly before I married my first wife, my parents purchased a house in a small village about 35-40 miles south of Jackson, Mississippi. They'd advised that we could live in it and work on restoring / renovating it, or they'd do it themselves and keep it for a rental property. Since the ex and I bot...

Pre-dawn Visitor on 2015-10-07

This happened around 1982 or 83. I would have been 20-22 years old at that time. I had party friends that I ran with regularly and, normally, on weekends we'd commonly spend the night at one of the gang's house and turn the entire weekend into a party. I was living at my parents' home at that time, ...

Introduction And Small Incidents on 2015-09-30

I've had this stuff happen to me all my life. Most were just little things. As I'd told my wife before we were married, I WISH the stuff DIDN'T happen, but it has. I suppose I'll start by sharing a few of the small things that have happened over my 54 years in Mississippi. I suppose the earliest ...

Mack, the Bible is full of scriptures which explain that our experience is already set forth. I'd go further and perhaps say that it has already happened. Sort of like music on an old vinyl album. Our consciousness is perceived like the point that the needle is at on the album while the whole of the music is already there behind and in front of our perception at the same time. I think that is the only way premonition can make any sense whatsoever; occasionally people can see over the edge of the groove.
Wanted to add that I can't see any good that could come from videotaping a room. The best thing that could happen is you find a mundane explanation. If you don't however, you're just going to find something to capture your attention, at best... Which is just what these entities want... Likely so they can acquire more energy. Again, they're best ignored.
Frankly, I don't believe it is a good idea to give these entities any attention whatsoever. It's obvious they are wanting attention. It's been my experience that if you ignore them then over time the activity will become less frequent. I definitely wouldn't try to talk to them or let them fill your thoughts all the time. Just brush them off and go about your business.
Yeah Jerry, the story of the ether reminded me of my experience with same having my tonsils removed. Horrible stuff back in 1968 I believe, at the age of 6. I believe I would likely still become nauseous were I to get a whiff of today.
So, basically, a dog acted weird and you saw something move inside the house?

Justa,
I just wanted to say I hope you get over your recent breakup soon. Look at it this way, half the people your age are guys... Whole lot of fish, blah, blah.

Unfortunately, you've got to feel it before you gain experience, which is the only thing that helps you weather this sort of thing better. Be assured though, there will be others who will love you just as much or more. All the best.
Thanks for that account. This is just me, but I'm a firm believer that the less attention you pay to them, the better. There are obvious theories about that, but one thing is apparent; theses entities are doing things to seek attention for some reason. It's been my experience that if you don't communicate with them or think about them incessantly, they don't really become very active. Your experiences are a lot like my own, just isolated WTF events.
Rachness, I'm sincerely sorry for your loss. Lost my mom 17 years ago and my Dad 9 years ago. Had a tough time too, but I want you to know this: you'll always miss them, but with time the pain will dull, then fade, and you'll be left with memories only that glow with a beautiful aura.

I believe that if you look into it, you'll find that a carnation has long been considered a symbol of a mother's undying and eternal love for her child. I believe this is thought to be the flower that Jesus ' s mother Mary left at his grave.

Don't push it. She may come to you when she's ready in a dream. I recall hoping I'd receive some sign from mom and nothing happened for a long time. One night I dreamed of her, much, much younger, in an outfit of hers I'd not even thought of in 30+ years. She was floating above a bathtub. Her lips were not moving, but she said this curious thing: "I Love you, but I can't be with you now. But know that you'll always live in my heart". I woke up crying, so happy to have seen her again. I've never understood what she meant by that, though. It seems that she should live in my heart, not me in hers. Anyway, I've read that it is not uncommon for them to visit in dreams, to look much younger than they were at death, and for them to speak without their lips moving.

I hope you found some comfort in that. Just personally, I wouldn't try to contact her, but let her come to you. You don't want to keep her bound to you on Earth. God bless your sweet soul. You'll be with her before you know it. I think the name and carnation thing was definitely your mom saying hi. ❤

I agree there are a lot of stories here that are short on facts and long on setting a dramatic mood - or rely on things I personally find unpersuasive such as "feeling of dread in that room", or dogs viciously barking at a wall, but the notion that something inexplicable manifests an observable physical effect is as old as mankind and has been validated by untold hundreds of millions of people all over the world, even though it, by its nature, is not susceptible to current scientific testing methodology due to its inability to be repeatable.

When someone presents an account with detailed facts of what happened and there's no plausible explanation for it, I find it something worth considering in light of the fact that these things have been observed to happen all the time. That is, unless there are indicia that it's the product of an immature "writer", such as laying it on thick, etc.

With this guy you met, there's a completely plausible explanation (he's a nut), and the alternative - that he's a reanimated corpse carrying on his second life - has never been observed to happen. Anywhere.

Call me funny, but that's just the distinction I see between believable stories here at YGS and the notion that Fireplug guy was what he wanted you to believe he was.

The reanimation of corpses, whether carried out by some secret society or by a flying cow, is simply a bridge too far, for me anyway...

OK Jerry. You're suggesting that we at least consider that this guy was a reanimated corpse from a mortuary, including the dental thing used by morticians. Is that right?
Yeah, Oak Alley is iconic. Glad you enjoyed your trip down in the old south. It is very pretty, just gets hot as hell in the summer.
Thanks Miracles. Knew it was something like that - differently abled, developmentally challenged, something or other.
Yeah, heard the same as Val from two friends that used to work at a long term care facility for the mentally retarded. Sorry, can't remember what the PC name for that is these days.
Val - ya, that's what came across. Would be no danger of whatever it was tempting me - I wouldn't TOUCH a Ouija or dabble with any divination technique. Now, if it were tempting me with Ben & Jerry's Fudge Brownie ice cream... Might be another story.
Then go to a psychiatrist and explain that after hiding your symptoms from your physician, you concluded they were parnormal in origin.

Those two bits of advice could set you along the road to health.
Dude, go to a physician and this time, TELL him/her what your actual symptoms are. That might help a little bit in getting to the bottom of it, donchathink?

Jerry, Mr. Fireplug was some kind of nut. Consider yourself fortunate he didn't want to pal around with you.
WOW! Fantastic experience. I'd have been pretty creeped out by that stuff too.

Not precisely that, but many people experience the sound of voices for which no origin can be identified. Thanks for sharing your experience.
