I am 54 years old. My husband and I have 4 children, two grand children.
Most of my life (at least as far back as I can remember) I've had paranormal experiences.
I've had numerous instances where I just somehow knew what was about to happen. I'm not sure what to call that ability. I can't do it on command. It's just something that happens.

Sometimes I feel as if I was put on this earth to do something great, so far what that something is has eluded me.;)

The Ice Cream Truck Makes A Return Visit on 2016-07-28

It's happening again. I knew when I started writing my stories down, going through them in my mind, talking about them, acknowledging things that happened in the past, that somehow it would make them strong again. I know that sounds crazy even somewhat dramatic but I also know that is what seems to ...

The Night I Met Maria on 2016-07-28

February 22, 1993 at 2:01 p.m., I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I had morning sickness the entire pregnancy. I gained only 11 pounds which put me in the high risk category. Needless to say, her birth didn't go as planned. I was induced into labor at 36 weeks because she had stopped growing...

Let Me Out Of The Shower on 2016-07-05

This following occurrences happened in early 2011. E, our youngest daughter and Z, our youngest son were still living at home at this time. Our oldest daughter and her husband came over for dinner and movie night. Z's girlfriend was also there. About midway into the movie, E decided she w...

Tall Man on 2016-06-02

This next occurrence began in the fall of 2009. That was the first sighting of Tall Man. We call this guy tall man because we don't know what else to call him. He's very tall, slim and looks like a living human being. My husband and I first saw Tall Man as we were about a block and a half awa...

Kitchen Shadow Man on 2016-05-16

I believe this next occurrence happened in 2011. It was night-time and I was home alone. Being home alone was something I had come to dread. Especially after dark. I wasn't the only one who felt this way. Both of my daughters refused to stay in the house alone. That night my husband was at work. ...

Doppelgangers Oh My (story 5) on 2016-05-05

I can't say I've ever seen a Doppelganger. However some of my family members have. 2010 - at this time the family members residing in our home were: Our oldest daughter and her husband, our youngest son, and our youngest daughter. My husband saw the first one sometime in 2010. He came home fro...

Whispers In The Night (story 4) on 2016-04-28

I don't have an exact date for this next account. I do know it happened late 2008 or early 2009. When I sat down at my computer tonight (April 20, 2016) I had not planned to write this. I am not sure I ever planned to write it. This account lasted or recurred for several weeks. Shortly after the ...

Christmas Eve Cowboy on 2016-04-18

I'm taking a short break from writing about the occurrences in my home. This story took place in my sister's home many years ago. There is a reason I feel the need to write about it now. I received a phone call from my sister last night. She was finally returning my calls. I had been trying to get h...

Do Your Ears Hang Low (story 3) on 2016-04-06

After my dog attacked my daughter, we had him put down. I could not simply let another family take him knowing what he was capable of. Perhaps that's what triggered a series of more pronounced paranormal events. Several of my family members started seeing black shadowy figures. My youngest daugh...

My Paranormal Life (story 2) on 2016-03-31

After seeing the little boy (Little Blue Eyed Boy) I told you about in my previous story, nothing of great importance happened in our home for years. We would have an item come up missing to later find it where it should have been in the first place. Such as my kitchen colander, serving forks and sp...

Little Blue Eyed Boy on 2016-03-28

From as far back as I can remember I've had paranormal experiences. I also realized at an early age, that most of time keeping those experiences to myself was the best way to go. When I was four years old, I related one of these experiences to my grandma. She was immediately offended and stated that...

Hi C2C and Madgurlee, sorry it has taken so long for me to reply to your comments.
C2C- thank you, I am glad you enjoy my stories.

Madgurlee- to answer your question, No I don't think it was the mass in my bathroom was the little boy. It seemed a little taller. I got the feeling it was female. Thank you for reading my stories.

Hey RedWolf, Thank you for reading my story. Yes she's always had a different sense of humor.

Hi rbasireddy, thank you for reading my story. I did not ask to see a picture of Maria. In fact after describing her I didn't really talk much about her to anyone at the hospital. I just sensed that I had been told all I was going to be told.

Hi PriyankaMenon, thanks for reading and commenting on my story. I've been told I live a charmed life.
Hi OCGirl, thanks for reading my story. It could be a music box. Guess we should broaden our search. Thanks for the idea.

Hi Spiritwaiting, Wish-Not, Allicatt, L_Melb, Manafon1, sweetsunshine1800, Seraphina, chelscp11, Tweed and BeagleMom!

Sorry I'm just now reading comments on this story. I've had my grand daughters with me so I've only had a few minutes at a time to get online.

I want to thank all of you for reading my story and for your wonderful comments. I'm glad yall enjoyed it.

Manafon1- I'm especially interested in your comment about collective telepathic transmission.

Tweed- I did not do any research on Maria until about 15 years later. I was too busy being a mom and being in awe of what happened. So far I haven't found anything on Maria. You would think someone else would have ran their mouth at some time. As for E she's my most 'colorful' child. She's been a hoot and a holler every day of her life.

When she was 13 she had spinal surgery for scoliosis. At the time she had been teaching herself to play guitar. The night before the surgery she wanted to play me a song, the first one she had learned. It was Bob Dylan's 'Knockin On Heaven's Door'. She thought it was appropriate. Haha

Again thank you all!
Hi Spockie! Interesting theory, thanks for reading my story

Hi GinaFowler! I enjoyed reading your story. Very interesting. Can't wait to read the next one.
Hey Tweed! Yep you were one. I can't begin to tell you how elated I was when you made that comment on my Doppelgangers story. I wanted to tell you but didn't want to give it away because I was still waiting on the other two. (Still am). Thank you for reading my story and for reading my mind. 😁
Woo Pig! Wish-Not, you might be on to something there. E often questioned why she had not heard the ice cream truck the first time. Much like I'm questioning how I didn't hear it this time. Thanks for reading my story.

Hi OCGirl, sds and Mannerizms! Thank you all for reading my story. And for commenting. I think everything is cool with that bathroom now. Sometimes I catch myself looking towards its window, sort of drawn to it but I don't believe I'll ever look out that window again. Had it not been that our house is brick and taking a window out is a pain, it would have been gone in the remodeling.

Hi RedWolf! My daughter's reasoning behind the clear glass shower was she would be able to see if in fact anyone or perhaps anything was in the room with her. The old shower was very closed off.
When we first looked at the house, that shower was almost a deal breaker. I told my husband it had to be redone. Of course over the years we kept putting it off. Other things became more important. I won't say I had any usually bad feelings about the shower but I never liked it either.

The window now has shutter blinds AND curtains on it. There is no way anyone can see in but more importantly I can not accidently see out.

Thanks for favoring my story.

Hi Redwolf! Thank you for sharing your story. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. I too believe everything happens for a reason. Perhaps the reason Billy was put in your life and then taken away so soon was to teach you how to let go.

Hi babygoatpuller and ashar123! Thank you both for reading my story.

Babygoatpuller- E did not ever shower in that shower again. She picked out the new shower, made entirely of clear glass.

Ashar123- after all these years I still can't get his image out of my head

Hi Wish-Not, valkricry and Punkysmama! Thank you all for reading my story. Yes it was creepy, one of the creepiest things I've ever endured. Remodeling the bathroom seems to have done the trick. The shower was the house's original shower, it took days to remove it, it was made of concrete with tiles over it. No doubt it could have withstood an EF 5 tornado. We've remodeled bathrooms before and never have we ever came across something like this.

Punkysmama I left out the fact that I was shaking like a leaf as I finished my shower and how as soon as I saw "Him" I ran out of the bathroom. 😐

Wish-Not I'm sorry your daughters don't live closer too. I know you must miss them horribly. My youngest is still at home and the oldest just bought the house next door to me. Of course both of my sons live in different towns (still not too far away).

Valkricry Yep definitely pervy. We wondered if perhaps it was a not so funny teenage prank. Guess we'll never know.
Hi Mda61! I enjoyed reading your story, so glad you chose to share it. Thank you. Your story reminds me of an experience, a two month experience my entire family had while living on an old plantation. I was about 5 but I remember it well. There was an abandoned house across the road. No matter what time of day or night a man in a long coat with a large brim hat could be seen standing in the window. My father went over there one day to check it out. There wasn't anyone or anything standing in the window.

I can't wait to read your next submission.

Hi C2C! Thanks for reading my story and thanks for the comment. The landlady found it all amusing which lead us to believe she knew more than what she said about the cowboy. It's been many years ago since that Christmas Eve but believe me, none of us have forgotten it. Sadly a few days ago I learned the house had recently been torn down.
Hi C2C! I guess most of us have/had a person in our lives who teach us what not to be. On the flip side thankfully there are plenty of people such as your mother and my father. Thanks for the comment.

Hi Miracles51031! Loved your story. Wish my shadow man would offer to help. My shadow man and I have a love/hate relationship. Love knowing he likes it enough here to stay and hate it when he spooks me. 😊

I believe my daughter and her friend caught my kitchen shadow man on recorder. They were being silly while making frappes in the kitchen one night. The friend was recording their conversation on her phone. One of them asked, " So Mr. Shadow Man what frappe flavor is your favorite." Later when they reviewed the recording they heard a very boisterous, "Chocolate" in reply to their question. His voice sounded very deep and jolly. I try to keep that in mind whenever he makes his appearances.

Hi roylynx, Thank you for the explanation. Believe me when I say we try to 'let them be' as much as possible. While some things still give me chills, few things frighten me.

Hi Manafon1- never thought about 'hauntings' having an expiration date. Silly of me. Thanks for the explanation!
