I am a Christian (Protestant, but not that it matters what kind of Christian you are), and believe in God the Almighty. I also believe that there are "supernatural" entities among us (just read the Bible you would know that from the beginning to the end, they are also mentioned in there), and that there are good entities that do God's work, as well as evil ones that do Satan's work. I do not wish to offend anyone, but this is my honest opinion. I respect that you may have a differing opinion, and I ask that you respect mine.

I believe that otherworldly "entities" (spirits / demons / guardians / elementals or whatever we may know them as) all may appear different, but have the same purpose. Whether we worship / befriend / are in a relationship / are terrorised by them, their sole objective is to prevent us from having a truly fulfilling life on earth as God intended.

Many of these entities (good AND bad) can appear to us in dreams, apparitions (lights / animal / object / shape / shadow / people etc), voices, thoughts, possession, and other means. They start off by occasional interactions, to both judge your reaction, and also to get us used to the idea that they exist. They can manipulate our feelings so as to incite happiness, fear, comfort, bewilderment, etc.

These entities may choose appear to be benevolent and "help" or "guide" us (foreknowledge / warnings / winning lottery / making items appear) or "comforting" us (hugs, voices, feelings, etc), or even claiming to be angels of God. The Bible has this to say about them (2 Cor 11:14-15) "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve."

Alternatively they may also be malevolent, terrorising us, making items break / drop, instilling fear through voices, sounds, apparitions, etc. It's like a game of chess, whatever they can do to drive us away from God is what they will implement. You may experience an entity that will not leave you (known as varying terms such as "familiars" or "attachments") no matter how much you try to get rid of it. Don't lose heart, even the most persistent ones can be driven away by prayer.

If not addressed, often these interactions will increase in frequency and intensity, and soon these entities would move from interference in our lives, to achieving their objective of being entrenched in our lives. You may also lose the will or desire to drive them away and just be resigned to your "fate". They may reveal mystical information about the spirit world, or about past or future events (they have limited knowledge of those) which may or may not be true, but a common feature is deceit. Whether they choose to reveal or conceal or change information to affect your thoughts and behaviour. Their influence can bring about mental illness over a long term (schizophrenia / paranoia / hallucinations etc). Sometimes, they may also encourage suicides or risky behaviour leading to death.

Also, just as humans fight and have disputes, their world also has hierarchy and much discord. This can be seen by the way some of these entities can manipulate our senses or have some power of influence in the physical world, and also are able to "drive away" others.

A book which I have come across which has the best description of this is "Hostage To The Devil" by Malachi Martin. It's a bit different from others in that it's written from the perspective from the victims of spiritual oppression. If you or someone you know is currently experiencing influence from spiritual entities, you may be able to relate to the cases in the book. An interesting article on possession and exorcism, written for Vanity Fair by William Friedkin (who directed the movie "The Exorcist"), a self-confessed AGNOSTIC, can be found at https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/10/father-amorth-the-vatican-exorcist

I believe that no matter how long your "relationship" with If you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour (because he died for our sins), the Holy Spirit resides in you and evil entities CANNOT enter nor control you.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

Select Army Experiences -- Old Mowbray (provost) Camp, Sg on 2017-04-10

As mentioned in my first story, I am a Christian. I have had "supernatural" incidents happen around me, but mostly not affecting me exclusively nor directly. I believe the Holy Spirit keeps unwelcome entities at bay. On to my next topic, Mowbray Camp. While each experience below might not be signifi...

Hi BuskyBolder, my condolences for your loss.

I believe that once dead, our souls do not return to earth. Barring any natural occurrence that caused the switch to flip I believe such activity is demonic in nature. Thus I would advise you not to pray to your "best friend" (because it is not him who's listening) and also not do anything to encourage such activity. For more of my views on this please read my profile.

Hi sherm784, I have the same question / thoughts as Melda (you beat me again to it Melda 😠). It could be your subconsciousness. However if it really is an entity, it is a really persistent one (3 years, once each year)! If so please see my profile page for my thoughts concerning these.
Hi Ceci, welcome to the forum, I'm curious, do you have a picture of this ring?

Hi TheCynic, it seems that you wanted to contact these entities (your previous story) and they reciprocated! I would suggest ceasing efforts to contact them and to consult a pastor or a priest. You certainly wouldn't want to live the rest of your life with these things "attached" to you!

Hi haniibee (very clever nick btw). I believe these entities are not things that you would want to have in your life, as the more you accept them, the greater their influence on you would be. (For my thoughts on them please see my profile). I would suggest seeking help from a pastor or a priest, as these entities are not part of a normal life.
Hi Allicatt, I don't believe that that's your real "daughter", more like an entity that is using your memory of her to intrude into your life (please see my profile for my views on this). Even the messages that it is sending to you and your husband are differing, which proves that it preys on your (and your husband's) weaknesses to get you to accept it. I would recommend visiting and getting help from a pastor or a priest asap.
Hi thatqueenb, those experiences sound terrible. Am I right to assume this doesn't happen at your new home? What was your mom's take on the experiences?
Hi Meldel, is it possible that the person went around the house to look for "Miriam" himself instead?
Hi Cas, you need to seek help quick, it's better not to fall into a state where these interactions with it become the new normal. I think it's best to seek help from a pastor or a priest asap. Please do look at my profile for more info.

Hi Meldel, is your dad still around to recount the story in greater detail?
Hi southcelt, looking forward to reading your stories to come.

Hi ArianEgyptianGirl_89, I'm curious... When you sought help from "church people" what did they say?

Hi tomandcarrielester,

I agree with Zaruje. Do let us know what distance from the ground you saw these eyes at?

Hi Siara, I am assuming your mother is Catholic from what she did with the water and drawing crosses. As Singaporeans, we know that although we live in an urbanised country, there are still "paranormal" incidents happening all the time around us. If indeed your mom also had the dream of the 2 same entities that you encountered, and if the activity continues or worsens, perhaps it would be best to consult with a pastor or a priest (a church is never too far away).

Hi StaceyK, these entities are common in rural & suburban places in Southeast Asia. In Malaysia and Indonesia there are many similar types of entities, just that they go by different names. I believe that they are all the same, i.e. Evil spirits that drive people away from God and into other remedies like charms and talismans (you will know what I'm talking about) and witch doctors / spiritualists. Please read my profile for my views on this.

It seems that you are no longer subject to these disturbances, but if you every encounter such things again, please do visit a pastor or priest in your nearest church. Pagpalain ka ng Diyos

Hi wth_devildog, I am a little puzzled, at the beginning you said "This is my first account of possible paranormal activity I've experienced in my life", yet at the end of the story you later mentioned "This incident was different than the previous ones. The uneasy feeling, nausea and hair standing on end... This wasn't our normal trickster ghost that we had been accustomed to.".

Could you please clarify?
Hi I just came by your story, I suspect we may have a view or 2 in common about these entities. Keep on the armour of God! 😁

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.

Hi loneybone... I'm glad that you have a few friends who stick by you, those are hard to come by.

Firstly, when a person is lonely, they tend to internalise & narrate their thoughts, and this may, over the course of time, seem to be the thoughts of another. You may want to seek opinion from a medical professional on this.

Secondly, if indeed true that there is an entity that is constantly with you, I suggest that you see a pastor or a priest for advice. Please do read my thoughts on the paranormal on my profile page to see where I am coming from.

Hi Hermit, I don't know what to make of it, it may be that your experience caused your room-mate's imagination to go into overdrive. Let us know if there's any more activity.
cloudy... I couldn't agree more with cloudy Integrist. Not only is it good to use as a "pillow support", you'll find enlightenment in its contents too 😜
