Alcatraz Ghost Was A Leg Man on 2017-09-17

My husband and I were in Northern California visiting his brother. While there, we did manage to fit in some touristy things like visiting Chinatown, and walking among the Redwoods. I was also able to find time to be felt up by a ghost at Alcatraz. What follow is that story. The tour started beni...

Dot on 2017-09-09

My first of three children was born in February of 2009. I named her Dot after my deceased grandmother, short for Dorothy. Dot was a healthy, cheerful baby, but she did suffer from colic starting when she was around a month old. For those of you who haven't dealt with a colicky infant, know that ...

Final Visit on 2017-09-09

I was staying at my parent's house in Augusta for Christmas in '05. It was a grand old house that I had grown up in, built around the turn of the 20th century. My parents are old fashioned and insisted my fiancé and I sleep separately, even though we lived together in Atlanta. Since he is very tal...

Dorm Ghost on 2017-09-03

Freshman year of college and I was visiting my friend, Catherine, at University of Georgia in Athens. She lived in Brumby at the time, a girls' dorm. Being underage, we spent our night smoking pot and goofing off in her room with her next door neighbor and another girl, Danielle, who had also gone t...

Wow, Lilwolf, thanks for that. I had wondered if that was the case. I wish I could remember which cell it was so I could check, but I was too keen on getting the hell out of it at the time.

I think you're right, Jubeele. Grandmother probably visited because Dot was her namesake.
I believe that's the only time she visited. Nothing like that happened with my other two, and Dot hasn't mentioned any other strange goings - ons.
Glad you liked it, warms my heart too!
Thanks, Jubeele, but I still think you should check out Alcatraz if you get another chance to. Just don't wear a skirt!
Melda, I feel the same way. I can't help but wonder what that particular inmate was incarcerated for. Whatever it was, It seems he felt entitled to touching me in a very familiar way, and I doubt I was the only woman he accosted (whether alive or dead).

The other stories I've posted bother me less and less as time goes on, if they ever did at all. But this one gets creepier as it ages along with me.
Thanks so much.
And definitely go see the redwoods - they are amazing!

I'm sorry about your puppy, Ceci, but I'm sure she is with you in spirit.
Be well.

Thanks Melda, thanks AugustaM.
I read the story about Peanut and enjoyed it. ❤

Melda, thank you for your kind words.

And Ann4shadow, thanks to you as well.
Yes, it's always the kids and the pets who see them first, isn't it?
Dot is now 8, and still very healthy, thanks for asking.

Thank you RCRuskin.
Sorry about your puppy, though it was long ago. They can be as hard to lose as people are.

I never heard Tracy sing when she was alive, so I don't know.

Point taken on the pot smoking, but one of us, Catherine's roommate, was sober.

I don't know if Danielle saw her again. I wasn't that close to her, and she seemed completely freaked out about it. I'm not sure she would have wanted to talk about it even to a very close friend.
