If you are afraid it is for a reason. Either you are not ready (and possibly never will be) to cooexist with the knowledge of a spirit or you are picking up on something the spirit isn't sharing with you. Either way, follow your gut.

As for getting it to leave, oddly enough, simply telling it to leave forcefully will work sometimes. It has for me on occasion. Otherwise I would tell you to seek the counsel of whitebuffalo on this site. I am not sure how often she is here, but she helped me with my situation not too long ago.

Finally, leave the OUIJA board alone. WHether it has the ability to open portals or it is the subconcious as Tonith believes, it will not help with what you are going through. If it is subconcious, then spirits seem to pick up on that energy and thought level and are attracted to you because of it. I had a nasty experience with the board that I am still dealing with almost 20 years later. Feel free to read the story if you want to know about it. Get that board out of your house...

How creepy! I would have gotten up, ran and got my son and stayed up with the light on all night long. Thank goodness you were not alone.

I have been on a bit of a break from here but when did this become a forum for pushing religious beliefs? No disrespect to anyone's beliefs but this site is supposed to be about sharing experiences and getting help with problems of the supernatural variety. I've never seen God and Jesus thrown around so much in my life and I went to catholic schools my entire life. When we start peddling our beliefs at every opportunity this site losies its integrity and purpose. I hope this isn't a theme on this site now.

Ghost, you are a very good writer, however I can't help but o get caught on a few points. One major poin is that everyone seems to either see or feel the presence in yor house. I am not judging, however I know that the "gift" of knowing a presence is there is rare. I guess I is possible hat the riends you have chosen share the gif, however it is highly unlikely...

I don't know if this was a ghost. Also, I find it odd that a teacher would offer up information that her niece died 3 years ago and was coughing based on the fact that you told her that the girl you saw was blonde and coughing.

Out of curiosity, what made you tell your English teacher about this? If I saw someone I didn't know in the bathroom, I wouldn't have remembered it 3 days later.

I'm not saying that you are lying at all... Maybe there are just a lot of details missing that tie this story together and have it make more sense.

I have had a similar experience with my sone when he was about two years old and my story is listed under "Night Terrors" if you wanted to take a peek. Fortunately for me, when I spoke aloud and confronted whatever it was, it stopped immediately. My son never had another episode of night terrors. The only difference is that my son wouldn't speak when he was in this state. He seemed to be in a state of shock almost. His eyes were open and he was screaming but absolutely unresponsive. It may depend on the intent of the spirit. If it truly was an entity as I felt it was, perhaps its intentions were just to communicate rather than to scare. You may be dealing with something else completely. Then of course there is the possibilty that it is a case of true night terrors.

I can't quite put my finger on this one. I have never heard of anything following multiple poeple and causing so much harm just because they were at the same party. An orb would not be responsible for the unfortunate acts that happened to your friends. What you are talking about would require possession. And in the case of the guy who was beaten by three people, a multiple possession by multiple demons just for the purpose of causing harm to random party goers. In my opinion, this has absolutely nothing to do with anything paranormal.

Last night I had another remote experience. My cat was lying on my bed with me and freaked out and jumped off for no reason that I could tell. She ran towards the door and waited for me to open it with her fur all puffy. As I looked at her my DVR paused itself. I am 31 so my teen kinetic enrgy is long gone at this point. I do have houses nearby, but this was late at night. I am holding onto Tonith's explaination of crossed remote signals as a security blanket as I have picked up other babies crying on my baby monitor in the past. But coupled with my cat acting so out of character it definitely made me think for a minute.

Wierd. I have a lot of remote control issues too. TV turning on and off, the guide coming up when the remote is on the table. I figured it was just some glitch.

Welcome to YGS and thank you for sharing your story. That is truly a horrifying experience. It sounds like it was evil whatever it was. I don't know if a poltgeist generally inflicts injuries like that. Demonic, possibly. Has it followed you to your current residence?

I agree with Kim on this one. Basements are generally creepy for whatever reason and people tend to attach more to that feeling than there really is to it. Who knows why that is, the fact that you are underground and can't just run out of a door to get outside, or because with the lights off it is generally pitch black... I know basements are not my favorite places to be either.

Be careful when using this board. Just because you ask the spirit communicating with you if it is evil, the answer you get may not be truthful. "Evil spirits" use deception and trickery to obtain their end goal, whatever that might be. I know that you are "obsessed" now, and I am not telling you to stop, you are able to make your own choices in life, but please be aware of the potential consequences of your actions.
