Howling Shadows on 2010-01-12

There are times in my life that I just get a feeling. I do not mean that I have premonitions or experiences I just mean to say that I have gut feelings. I'm sure that it is a universal thing; just imagine the feeling of falling on a roller coaster mixed with a car crash (that is the closet as I can ...

Ouija Board on 2007-06-21

I'm new to this so hopefully no one will say that I'm an idiot for what I am about to tell you. I'm not a Wicca or spiritualist, I am catholic and I was raised in a home that was 'supernaturally strict'. My parents do not believe in ghosts or anything of the supernatural variety and they forced thos...

Dragonwalker, may I ask why you are inquiring? I'm hesitant to state where I live over the internet-even if it is as large an area as my town. Are you asking for a general location or area? I don't mean to be rude but I've had ugly past experiences when I was younger where I slipped up and shared to much online so I am very hesitant to share personal information over a large forum that isn't just pertaining to the broad details of the incident at hand.

jazzeyjay,
I will do as you advised and I appreciate your help. I am sorry if I have offended you in anyway in regards to the questioning on the prayers. It is just that I have had some of my friends (who practice Wicca, Shamanism, and my priest) come over to bless my house on several occasions and my Wiccan friend advised me not to attempt her same ritual as she believes that dabbling without any knowledge would be more detrimental to the situation. Thank you again for your advice and you can be sure that I will be loading up on that salt pronto.

fatthead, I'm no quite sure what you mean by me having "a lot of dogs and spirits" I only have three dogs-and to my knowledge a larger wild dog that I have no ownership of. I do thank you for your reply and would have to agree that my lovelies are watching out for me too. Thank you

justin102798 and chicken thank you for your reply, I do have a question as to what you mean by a "black dog" though. I did a quick internet search and I came up with an answer that it is an omen of death (as chicken mentioned) is there anything else I need to know about this or is there something I can do to prevent a return?
Thank you

jazzeyjay, thank you for your reply. AsI stated before I already have researched my home before I posted, because I wanted to verify that nothing of the sort that you had suggested happened on the property. I will take your advice with the salt, however do I just pray (I am Catholic and will be praying in that manner) as I put down the salt or does this involve some kind of ritual? Thank you for your advice.

evilblackwidow9,

Thank you so very much for your reply. The website was very helpful and I appreciate the suggestions and information you gave me. Although I never plan to use an Ouija board ever again, I agree with you on how knowledge is power. So hopefully if anyone reads this and your comment they will check out the site you gave me. Again, I would like to thank you for you answers and your reply.

Shane,

Thank you very much for your reply, and in all honesty, I did not partake in actually touching the board at any time. I did however write down the conversation and speak up out of instinct. I do however, admit to having no real knowledge in the correct way of using the Ouija board, and I still do not. However, my friend at that time had been practicing Wicca for at least three years by that time. In addition, the members of her coven that joined us had been practicing for much longer, somewhere around the four or five year mark I believe. I do not know if you would consider this for a long period of time, but to say in her defense she was in a bit of a challenging situation at that time and it probably was not in her best interest to become as involved in the board as she did. As I said previously to evilblackwidow9, I would appreciate an explanation of what you said. If I can understand this correctly while using the board, we did not follow the “never use alone” or “never antagonize the spirits” rule. If you could please tell me where you saw these things, I would be thankful for a well-versed point of view.

Astral184,

“Dtrnmy”? I am sorry but I have no idea what this means. Do you possibly mean church or even CCD? Thank you very much for your helpful comment and it is also very nice to hear from another Catholic whose has respect and interest in the paranormal.

evilblackwidow9,

Thank you very much for your input; it was wonderful to hear information from someone with a Wiccan point of view. I would like to know however why asking about Richard accident was as you say a “no, no”. I have already pointed out that I have no real knowledge of anything that can be considered paranormal and therefore I have no real idea of what went wrong. If you would care to explain it for me, I would greatly appreciate it!

KachieChan,

I honestly hope that you will take Shane’s advice and stay away from using an ouija board, I personally never used one because I do believe that the object is in itself very dangerous if it is not properly used or used at all. Please do not follow your friends advice, I have no real knowledge of the paranormal or of anything such as summoning but anything that can be considered as a “bad spirit” tends to be something you wouldn’t want to mess with.

taintedsoul,

I do know that some believe that the spirits will follow you long after the actual even occurred and like Astral184, I have a respect for the paranormal. I however do not partake in anything that I feel uncomfortable with. Thank you for your advice however, I truly hope you will not take this in the wrong way, I have never in my own experience felt ‘followed’ by any malevolent spirits after this incident or even after a few other incident I am considering posting. Thank you for your concern however.

Hello jeya,

Thank you so much for your reply and its great to hear that I’m not the only one who was raised catholic and is interesting in the paranormal. Usually those two don’t mix in most of my experiences. Thank you for your reply I appreciate the feedback very much!
