There is no one passage; however, we are told that the dead go to either Heaven or Hell, and do not wander the earth, (2Cor.5:8) that Satan and his demons can assume other forms, to decieve men, (2Cor. 11:14) and that we are not to attempt to commune with spirits (Lev.19:31, 20:27, Deut.18:10-13).

I just don't get how so many try to link all parnormal activity- be it hauntings or UFO phenom... To the preternatural. There are so many documented cases of demonic oppression- and the symptoms and activity associated with it- are in a league of their own, and should not be confused with other, minor activity. To do otherwise, only serves to confuse and actually downplays the danger associated with real cases of oppression.

Where in the Scriptures does it specifically state all spirit activity is demonic?

MIZMIMI02- For an authority on the subject, I cite The Scriptures.

florence,
that may have been true 50 years ago, but the "old" people of today also grew up with a television.
HoneyMooners = greatest show, ever. 😊

CronishaxGurl,

They can draw energy from us. Or from the environment. I posted on another experience concerning EMF and how it can effect us or how spirits can use it to manifest/communicate.

Hope that answers your question.

Respectfully,

Rook

Thank you everyone for your comments!

[at]shamby, what I mean by communicating is exactly what's in my story. I just wish it was at a more convenient time for me, not when I least expect it. When I least expect it, it makes me jump out of my skin! I guess that's the fun in it though haha.

[at]Rozo, Thank you for your comment, one question. Where do they get energy from? Do I have to give off energy, or do they find it elsewhere?

alandhopewell- I'm curious to see what evidence you have, regarding that completely rediculous statement...

Hey, nice story. Even that little interaction, that time of night, would have been enough to scare me pretty good.
As far as the post below- it seems to be the opinion of many on the far "religious right" that all spirits are demonic -however, there is simply no data available to support that theory.

Someone is watching out for you! I think its the right amount of eventful, and its nice to read a story where the teller isn't afraid of what they've experienced. How are you wanting to communicate with a spirit? Because there are dangerous ways and you need to be very careful!

I cannot advise communication with spirits, as they are often demonic in origin, no matter how friendly or benign they might seem.

On the contrary, I don't think this story was uneventful, but just the right amount of eventful. The stories that events wreak havoc tend to not be as believable. Thanks for sharing!

Ha! I enjoyed this a lot. At risk of offering 'ad nauseum' commentary, the theory that it is your grandmothers' spirit is a charming and understandable one - waste not, want not! 😉 Thank you for sharing!

I wouldn't say this is uneventful! I like stories like this because it gives food for thought.

It makes me wonder if that meant the spirit of your grandma noticed and heard you by her grave and the
Followed you to your home, though I'm sceptical.

Thanks again

creepy!
But I know people of the old days hated it if you left the TV on or the fridge open, or a plate with food on it lying in the kitchen... My grandfather used to let me have it when I stayed with them on weekends and I did one or all of the above... But I still do and can only fall asleep to the TV. It has to be on for me to fall asleep... So I think me and this spirit would have it out!:)
Spirits only can communicate when they have energy to do so... They have to draw their energy from some form of power before they can do anything... But I do believe they can be equally as stubborn once they do have the energy to do so!
Cool story Cronishax!
