Its a really badly written account in my opinion!

No information on how old the damn house is (sorry, its frustrating)...how old was the O/P when he/she fancied changing into fresh cloths in pitch dark running around naked in the house...don't even get me started on the silliness of trying to find the drawer handles to make sure they were getting the right clothes! The O/P mentioned he/she could not see so was counting the drawer handles to find the correct one... But he/she managed to see a face and a pair of hands that were peeking at him...?!

I have no opinion if seeing something in the dark is true or not but I seriously am annoyed that there is not enough information here to tie the series of events in the story together.

I am with Rook, I would never leave my son alone outside at night, especially if he had no clothes on!

(Pinching the bridge of his nose between his left index finger and thumb and holding his right hand up as if to say 'Whatever'; our Driver/DJ climbs aboard the Fabulous Ghost Searching/Troll Busting Double Decker Bus the Miss Demeanor and drives off into the Sunrise...)

Sorry I really hope this didn't 'detract' from anything... But I really can't believe 3 (possibly 4) responsible adults left a naked child standing outside all alone while they searched the house for whatever may have scared the child... At least one of them would have tried to comfort the child and taken them inside while the others searched... But maybe I live in a Fairy Tale...

Ok, but I give the o/p the benefit of the doubt. You don't have to. Its your choice.

I hope this is not detracting from the comments section, but I have to ask something...

Shlain,

While I understand there are times to give the O/P the benefit of doubt when it comes to certain details of their experience, things that we were not there to experience so maybe do not understand what was going on but I must ask you this...

Do you really think the O/P's Mother and Grandparents actually completely forgot about a naked hysterical child that had come running out of the house screaming they had seen a ghost? That they simply, "were under the impression he went to bed, but he didn't."?

As a Father of 3 children I find that very hard to believe.

Respectfully,

Rook

No I understand that. What I mean is it could be possible that they were under the impression he went to bed, but he didn't.

Only the o/p knows.

Ummm I'd have to say Yes... The O/P's Family knew the O/P was 'outside'...

"I had told my mother and grandparents what I had seen. They went back into the room and found nothing."

That is the O/P's words...

Respectfully,

Rook

A white pale face? Just like the movies. Which generally never happens. And if it was so dark then how could you have seen this pale face or the sheets moving?

My question is: Were your family aware you were standing outside? If not then I see it possible that a scared child would stand outside for a while.

I'm with you on this one Rook. There is no way inn hell a parent would allow a kid stay outside for an hour as you said 'starkers'. I don't even believe the whole house was dark as the O/P claimed

Why do I not believe your Mother and Grandparents let you stand outside in your 'birthday suit' for an entire hour. It's hard enough to believe your mother put 'all' of your clothes in the spare room, but to leave you outside 'starkers' for an entire hour...Ah...NO.

Sorry...I'm just not buying this one.
