darkassassin - and just so you know, giving someone a negative karma point because they make you mad is abusing the system. I'd be careful of that if I were you.

PoliexterLy - you're really not missing much on the comments today ๐Ÿ˜† I don't think much has been going on, other than trying to straighten darkassassin out ๐Ÿ˜‰

darkassassin - and that is the same thing people, including your dad, have been trying to explain to you. Val gave you a great possible explanation for your toilet experience in South Eugene (on my Ghost Hunting with the Loonies 4 story), but you didn't even acknowledge that you read it, so I've copied it here for you.

"Darkassassin, well some automatics are set up on a type of timer. They flush every x many hours, whether anyone has used them or not. Very popular in areas with extremely hard water or tourist-type places. You wondered "how come a toilet would flush when no one is there?" This could be why. A question for you is why would a ghost need to use the restroom? I'm not making fun of you, this is just a technique I've picked up that I use on myself when puzzling things out. Also, I know you have things to say, questions to ask, but a little punctuation would help others to understand you better. Thanks!"

I know I hate to break this to a lot I don't know if I believe have the stories on here there are still intresting no matter I'm not saying your lieing. What I'm trying to explain to people first they should find the source like sound, smelling and seeing I'm not trying to spam anyone unless they make me mad I'm just saying I been to haunted places like houses but don't know if I saw anything or not I thought I did though. There is barely anyone that lives in oregon on here I would of asked them instead but I can't now to see if they saw something.

darkassassin - age has nothing to do with maturity. You have not taken any of our advice or suggestions with any consideration. I don't think you even read the comments/advice, to be honest.

You repeatedly post the same questions/comments expecting something you clearly are not getting. We are not here to just agree with you simply because that is what you want. We cannot, and will not, do that.

darkassassin - you are way too immature (young) for this site ๐Ÿ˜. I've read your recent change to your profile, and regardless of what you may believe, no one here hates you.

You have been told numerous times, by both granny and me, to stop posting the same comments over and over, yet you continue to do so. It is getting old, and very annoying. No one can tell you whether or not it was a ghost in the bathroom in South Eugene, Oregon. And no one is telling you that you didn't experience what you did. But that DOES NOT mean you experienced something paranormal.

And to answer your question, I deleted your comment. Not that I have to explain myself, but because I want you to know why I will continue to do so if you continue to post them.

Enough...

By the way, "the other one" has a name...it's Miracles ๐Ÿ˜‰ Just so you know, only mods and administrators can delete comments.

Thank you all very much for reading my experience. Pete, bless your heart, but I'm not sure I could make a very interesting read out of my other experiences in that school. Somethings may not have been actual experiences, but imaginings, like once or twice I thought I had seen a small child scooting around a corner as I came down the hall on that bottom floor, or peeking around the corner while I ate my lunch, but investigation turned up nothing. Now and then (shhhh - it's a secret ๐Ÿ˜‰) I would liberate a ball from the gym lock up and leave it in that room I spoke of, while I went and cleaned other rooms, making a mental note to put it back before going home. If anyone had found out, I could have gotten in trouble. That ball was NEVER in the same place I had left it - middle of the floor. It would be in the wastepaper basket, perched on a window sill, under the teacher's desk, anywhere but in the middle of the floor. One night, I was working in a lot of pain (falling down a flight of stairs with a loaded barrel will do that) and I sort of whimpered, "Man, not tonight, kids. I HURT," and that ball came rolling right to me. Other than that, not much else worth noting.

This story is one of my favorites as well! I can't wait to read more of your stories, and I'd love to hear more about the school, even if you don't consider the experiences as significant. Thank you for sharing!

I know it's already been said, but what a great story! This is definitely going into my faves. It's so great that you did not let fear keep you from entering that room and tell the little ones stories, AND that you had the insight to tell them to move on and find peace. โค โค โค

Wow, wonderful story and great narration. I felt kind of bad for the poor children who met their end due to their ruthless teacher ๐Ÿ˜  I do hope their souls rest in peace. And Emma and Amelia were certainly good friends to have!

psychicmama,
From what Emma and Amelia had told me, they had lived in that house kiddie-corner from the school 'forever', having been born there. Emma had never married, and when Amelia lost her husband she moved back home. Once in a while after work, I would take 'tea' with them before going home. They had some of the best stories. Not just about the school, but about the town itself. It seems that when they were girls, they often extended games like tag, and hide-n-seek,to include the school yard. One summer evening, Amelia had chosen one of the window wells to hide in, and she heard the kids banging to get out. Emma said Amelia screamed so loud the Daddy came running with his shotgun! Amelia told him that there were kids inside and that they were crying, screaming and banging to get out. At that point all he said was, "ain't kids as you know 'em in there" and took the girls home. That's when he told Amelia that he believed her and told them the story.

Wow thanks for sharing this. I went right back in my mind to my old high school, and lived it with you. Very wonderful how you sang to them and told them stories. They deserved that kindness. Did you ever later ask why the ladies wondered if you heard the kids? I wonder if they heard anything in that room when they were in school. Thanks again!

Excellent story, Valkricry! I spent a year in an old high school with the same build (till they moved us into a new one in 1980) so understand what you had to do.
Meeting those two ladies and your mom's advice to talk to them could possibly have been life-savers for you.
Have to say it was so sad to hear the story of those children and reading how one warned and pushed you down then hugged you after the next room roof collapsed was amazing.
I do think you sent some, if not all, of them out of there.
Thanks so much for sharing this.

Argette,me brave? I ran so fast and hit the doors so hard I practically went past the cops! It's a miracle I didn't need to change pants, I was that scared. For me, corporal beings have always been scarier then what I've experienced from the paranormal side. Not saying I've never been scared there either...just. Well, I think you understand where I'm coming from.

Val, your description of the break-in is terrifying to me, scarier than the ghost children. You were very brave to do that job.

beautifuleden,MizMiMi02,Zack84, and Morticia1,
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Sometimes I just get caught up in reading others' accounts and forget to look at my own to see if there's comments!
Thank you for reading and commenting.
Zack, yes, it is a very large building, although there are some schools here with more ornate facades. The thing is, when you work alone everything is amplified. In my case, I had to constantly patrol to be aware of any breakins. The job was a bit like being a night watchman along with cleaning duties. It's a bit weird - kids you can't keep in class, always seem to want to get in at night ๐Ÿ˜†. So you have to distinguish was that an internal or external sound? While I was there, there was one actual breakin. It was a group of 4 males and they were not students. But I knew the school better then they did, and managed to lock myself up in the office and call the cops. The scariest part is I had to go let the cops in - which meant leaving the safety of the office. I heard sounds at the other end of the hall (doors slamming, things being thrown) puncuated by swear words, and I often wonder if maybe the wee ghosties were keeping them occupied while I ran like blazes down the flight of stairs to the doors. Shortly there after is when they (the cops) began 'lurking' in the lot. But truth be told, I would rather face them again then an unseen violent adversary. I mean common, what sane person would WANT to be assaulted, especially by something/someone you can't see to defend yourself against? Not this girl. And that's something to think about- violent histories would have bad energy making for bad, angry spirits, no?

I loved your story! It's interesting you mentioned that it reminded you of an orphanage. It could have well served that purpose during the era in which it was built, particularly if rumors are true and it's actually older. Is it one of those massive, ornate Romanesque Revival structures that were so popular back then? They popped up all over the country, particularly as public institutions such as schools, orphanages, prisons and asylums. Last year some friends and I visited Preston Castle School of Industry here in California. It too was considered a "school" in the 1890s but was actually a youth prison with a violent past. I've always wondered what it would be like to work in a place like that, at night when all but the ghosts have gone home. So it was great to hear about your experiences. Thank you! -Zack

What a great story! I always think that they come across at night, because we are at our most vulnerable. Tired from the day, things are quiet etc. I hope they took your advice and moved on, no doubt their families would love to have them back safe in their arms. It's great that they thought enough of you to save you from harms way. You made a difference to them, and perhaps that was their way of thanking you.

Rook,
Thank you for reading! I was there for about 3 years. My last night there, I made sure I said good-bye to the ghosties, and assured them one last time that they could leave. I like to think they did, as I never heard any rumours afterwards. But - who knows for sure?

Instant FAV.

A word however... A Residual Haunting need not replay at the exact time of the actual event. It is a replay do not misunderstand me, but the 'play back' happens when there is enough energy to 'trigger' the 'event'. Sometimes only a part of what was 'recorded' may play back, it all depends on the 'strength' of the recording and the amount of energy available for 'play back'.

This does not seem to be residual... Not when the spirits help you like they did.

Do you still work here? Thanks for sharing this experience with us.

Respectfully,

Rook

I by no means have any "expertise" in this matter...however, when I saw you ask why they were knocking at night vs. Day the following thought/possibility crossed my mind; maybe the activity happens at night due to the emptyness of the school. Perhaps it is reminiscent of the abandonment they experienced upon being locked and deserted in their classroom...

valkricry - I generally stay as far away from this kind of story as I can, but this one caught me off guard ๐Ÿ˜‰ So, here's my two cents on why they bang at night.

BadJuuJuu already mentioned she didn't believe this to be a residual haunting because of the friendship aspect between you and the kids. I think the banging on the windows also proves this. As you said, they more than likely died during the daytime; therefore, if this was a residual haunting the banging would only be heard during that timeframe. These children, more than likely, have been trying to get someone's attention for a long time... And at all hours of the day and night. And at night, they got yours.

Wow...thank you all very much.
The thing that has always thrown me, is why would they bang at night, and not during the day, when in all probability that's when they would have been there?

This experience is just amazing. It's incredible how the children looked out for you. And so kind of you to talk and sing to them. I really was leaning toward residual activity, but no. You can't establish a friendship with residual activity, and this sounds like a friendship between you and the kids. Straight to favorites, thanks for sharing this.

valkricry: This is one of those accounts that the expression "HOLY CRAP" doesn't even seem to come close ๐Ÿ˜†. Wow. See, this is another example of why I don't believe in coincidences. The information given you by two elderly former students (you probably wouldn't have met had you not been put on the most sought after, prestigious duty of weeding) saved you a whole mess of pain, or possibly your life.

Going to my faves! Thank you for posting ๐Ÿ˜Š
