I have not read any of the other comments so sorry if I repeat something.
Your child might be psychic because if you already have somebody in your family that can see spirits its most likely that he has inherited that ability. Especially if he is a direct descendant of that person. Your soon might lose this ability in time because children until the age of 7 have a tendency to be sensitive to spirits. If he does not lose this ability then it will stay most likely stay that way. You shoaled talk to your son about these things more just don't show disbelief or he might star building a wall around his heart, Peapul ho are able to see spirits from a very young age are week on the inside but tough on the outside unless provided support from friends and family. Children with the 6 th senc are often bullied for being different. You shouled ceep foloving how he is doing at preschool. If he ever starts to ask why he was borne with this ability you have to tell him that it's a grate ability that can help may peapol.
All that I have written is from my personal experience!

Hello,

I had the same experiences as a child, according to my grandmother I was about three when this happends, she just put me down for the night when I told her I saw one of their male friends sitting in the chair. When she flipped the light on I told her he was gone, when she flipped it off again I told her there he is again. This happened a few times before I eventually stopped seeing him. She got a call the following day to say he'd died of a heart attack earlier that morning. As I got older it got less, but I suspect my mom had something to do with it. Unlike your brave little boy it totally freaked me out and I was scared of my 'visitors', today I can still sense them, but i'm no longer able to see them. Seeing as he's not afraid of it, i'm pretty sure he'll keep his gift

Garrettsmom,

Looks like you might have a little medium on your hands who inherrited his gift from Grandma.

My Advice: Don't see it as a curse. Its a gift that can be 'fine tuned' as he ages. Be there for him in an understanding way. Many parents brush it off as a kids imagination. He seems to be having ok experiences but there will be days he has visitations and experiences from negative energies. Help him understand what he's going through. Nurture the gift and he could be powerful one day. Too soon he will be of an age where he'll be influenced by society's standars of what is "normal" and what's not. It will be good to have you there every step of the way.

Thanks for sharing

Hi your little one seems to be blessed with what we call empathy. He is sensitive soul and also understanding this is why spirits have manifested themselves in front of him. I will suggest that you channelise his sensitivity in other directions. Get him more and more in touch with animal kingdom. It works. Youc an get more pets in house and see if he still cntinues to have such experiences. I don't know but being a little intuitive I get this feeling that your kid is a noble soul and will be helping people a lot in his life time. 😁

swimsinfire,

I've not had the pleasure of reading any of CS Lewis works.
What I've learned of spirit has been taught me by Spirit over several years and loads of seeking of the TRUTH. It's been quite the journey. Lol
In my discovery, the more I identify with spirit the easier life's path. When I forget who I am, my path is filled with those little irksome pebbles. 😆

Seeker, didn't CSLewis say something like that? "You don't have a spirit. You ARE spirit. You have a body." Love it.

Oh my goodness are you on the right site! Like everyone has said, children are still in tune to the energy around them. And yes, gifts run in families. My brother has a gift of "second sight" inherited from our relatives, even though he doesn't believe that people can have gifts like that. It's all good, encourage your child to pray, it helps.

Hello Garrettsmom,

Thank you for sharing your son's story with all of us.

You know, we are all born with the ability to see things from the other side. Your son is what I call "fresh from heaven". He has formed no belief systems against things of "spirit" YET. He isn't living what I call "duality". In other words he doesn't identify with his body as only flesh and bone. He is very connected to the reality of who we all are, which is "spirit" having a human experience. He's still tapping into his spirit nature, therefore he can see what most of us adults shut down due to formed belief systems thrust upon us by adults when we were children.
He is truly blessed in having a mother like you, who seems very open and understanding. This is exactly what he needs.
If you believe in some sort of higher power then please seek guidance in helping him. And please don't allow any fears you may have to spill over into him as this will begin to shift his perceptions.
Perhaps you can guide him in to how to release those he sees into the light.
Be strong, as you have an exceptional little boy.:)
Just my 2 cents. Take it as you will or toss it out.

Blessed Be

Truely its more then possible, children are the most sensitive of all of us to the spirit world around us and that's why on hauntings they are usually the first I ask because unlike adults they as likely to repress or dissmiss what they see an hear though my own first paranormal experiance was not until I was eight I have known others around the same age as your son or younger to be quite perceptive, however a word of warning, that kind of perception will attract spirits to him like a magnet both the good and the bad be careful what spirits he interacts with.

Gods bless and keep you and your family,

dear garrettsmom09- I wouldn't worry too much about it for now. From what i've learned, children are likely to see entities because they still have their third eye open. As we get older, we are distracted by many stories, myths, legends, money, time, and responsibilities that we stop questioning, therefore, we stop seeing the answers. Also, as we get older, we are often told ghosts aren't real, it's just in movies. No one has told your son about Dillon, or his passing, therefore your son doesn't know it's not normal to still see Dillon. As we shut our minds out from things, we stop seeing or believing it.

I've realized why smaller countries or 3rd world countries are more "haunted"...it is only because those people that live there are less distracted with technology. Not everyone can afford ipads and such to kill time with, so they keep entertained by gathering around to tell stories... As everyone is still in-tuned with the stories, they keep them alive. I hope this makes somewhat sense to some lol. It really comes back to Law of attraction.

As he gets older, i'm sure he will stop seeing, or not... Depends how he keeps his mind I suppose. But he will probably have no recollection of seeing Dillon.

Love to you and your family- notjustme

It's surely possible that he could be a sensitive. Children are very open to these experiences. I think, at this age especially. My son was at this exact age, getting ready to turn four years old, when he came out of his room upset, in the middle of the night, because he said, "Papa scared him". He described what he was wearing and everything. My dad died several days before this happened but he wasn't told about his Papa dying yet and we hadn't talked about it in front of him. My son has seen several things since then. He is now 10. I have been a sensitive my whole life. My sister said that when I was a baby I used to point at things and talk to things that weren't there or at least things they didn't see. My oldest daughter (20), my son (10) and myself are all sensitive so it DOES run in the family. My youngest daughter (8) hasn't really seen, heard or felt anything. Just one time. Lucky for her. We are all extremely sensitive to peoples feelings as well. I was asked questions by my parents and aunt when I was little about the things I saw. After a while of too much questioning, it would get annoying so it's good that you don't question him for too long about it so he doesn't feel weird or bad about it.
