I love BJJ's reasoning as to why he won't delete it... And I STARTED THIS AGAIN. I feel like I catch a lot of them, especially recently 😨

WATCH OUT, AGENT IFIHADYOUX IS UNDER WAY~~~

Badjuujuu, I promise not to tar and feather you.

Besides, that's sticky and would mess with my cleanliness OCD.

:P

Sometimes one of these just sort of slips through the cracks and gets published. I would apologize for having hit publish on this, but there are two reasons why I won't.
1: The comments have been epic.
2: We've been getting a lot of stories in this vein recently. Hopefully this story will serve as proof that even if an editor has a brain fart and hits publish, our community is not going to fall for it.

Anyhoo, this one is totally my bad. If a tarring and feathering is in order, I won't bother fighting back.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking to Elnora. Yesterday. But, then I had my own very weird day yesterday so wasn't sure if anything I did or said was right!

And yes Miracles, that was the one! Rah Rah!

I had a feeling we wouldn't be hearing back from this little storyteller. Didn't make sense with her trying to explain how she was so "curious" and didn't know what she was doing but yet knows to open with a prayer, sets out candles in a circle and has someone taking notes. I also call BS on this one!

I just cannot get over that narrative of:"Hi, I am a moon spirit!" and then the instant:"No, you are a stupid lying spirit!" when the spirit had been pretty typical and friendly.

There is something vital missing there, a plot point that makes it seem disingenuous. I just cannot figure it out.

Or how after the verbal abuse and the spirit manifesting in the TV, it very politely said goodbye when told to.

Or why the OP had to look at the window to realize that the lights were going off and on. Wouldn't you have seen that before? I mean, it's typically pretty obvious when a light is flickering. The one at my work above me does sometimes, tiny little flickers (stupid florescent bulbs) and it's obvious, even though it's minimal...

Miracles, my brain is going to implode.

Miracles; it's okay, I am supposed to be in the background, cheering, never to be noticed, always to be a bridesmaid, never to be the bride... Wait wrong scenario. You get the gist πŸ˜†

And yeah let's see if this one replies...

I'm going to go on record as saying I believe the other story "My Ouija Experience and Possession" was complete and utter bunk. I believe this one to be as well.

It's pretty bad when you can't make up a story of your own and have to steal parts from at least one other story.

Elnora - that may explain why the story makes no sense. If the o/p just grabbed the parts that sounded scary or whatever reason they pulled them, a lot of "oh, that makes sense" could get lost πŸ˜† Provided, of course, the original story the bits and pieces were stolen from was a true experience and not subject to our "OMG! Are you freaking kidding me?!" πŸ˜†

It's this narrative... It makes no sense.

All is fine, spirit answers moon then it dissolves into wild insults and violence within two lines. I understand that writing is not everyone's gift, it just seemed so...odd.

Also, as it was pointed out, they had no idea what they were doing, but still did the basics right.

elnora - LOL I'm the one who published the other one (My Ouija Experience and Possession) and I added the edit comment to it. And, like other situations, there was a point to publishing it. Sometimes people need to realize it's not just us mods who don't believe them LOL

And I'm beginning to think somebody used bits and pieces of other stories to create one of their own πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜†

I think similar is putting it nicely (unless the mods are the ones saying "This story has been edited here" in both cases, which I have never seen before). Then again, I had a problem with the story that Miracles posted in the comments because of the weird, faked trailer-ish video the OP had posted with it as "proof" so I am biased.

ifihadyoux - sorry I overlooked your comment yesterday (cheering LOL). Odd kind of day πŸ˜† And I noticed the same thing about the lack of comments. It always makes me suspicious, especially when they indicate they need help with their experience πŸ€”

Also, I didn't realize I'd posted the same link twice. Crap, like I said... Odd kind of day yesterday.

that's a very valid point rook. Didn't think of that.

And Miracles, the story to the link you supplied, they only posted that one story. Never responded to comments or made another story...

Hi Lynev! Thanks for the informative links. Since yesterday I was wondering if the toy stores keep girl and boy themed Ouija boards like they have for most other toys. Actually I was also trying to imagine a pretty pink colored Ouija board πŸ˜†. So your comment cleared my doubt.

As unfortunate as this is, I too under any circumstance won't allow a Ouija in my home.

Thanks again.

Hello:

FYI, Hasbro has been making and selling hot pink Barbie-like Ouija boards in Toys-R-Us since 2008, targeting girls 8 years old and up.
Apparently, there has been a recent uproar:
AND:

All I can say is, I won't allow one in my home under ANY circumstances.
I really don't know what to advise after they're already in. Maybe your cleansing method, Rook?
Good Luck & Kind Regards,
Lynev

All I will say about this is...

You don't ask the spirit to close the board... Who ever is using it 'opened' the board and they 'close' the board... By asking the spirit to 'say goodbye' you have given it permission to do what ever it wants... Spirits can LIE so by giving them the power to 'close the board' you have handed control over to the spirit... Not a good thing.

Just a little something to make you go Hummmm.

Respectully,

Rook

This sounds like a scary horror movie. But, like everyone else is saying, this story is coming off as a fake for me.
But if it is not fake and this is true, then you and your friend have gotten yourselves into a very bad situation. Where is the Ouija board now? I suggest you get rid of it, fast.
Burn sage to rid the bad spirits and pray, a lot!
And you should not have called this spirit a "stupid thing" because it made it angry and even more malevolent.
I really hope this is fake...

hardcoregeneral - are we really going to go through this again with you? Oh, wait, I can answer this for you. No, we aren't. That's why your comment was deleted. If you don't want to find a nicer way to say you don't believe someone's story, don't comment at all.

ifihadyoux and babygoatpuller - is this the story you had in mind? Http://www.yourghoststories.com/real-ghost-story.php?story=14693 or this one? Http://www.yourghoststories.com/real-ghost-story.php?story=14693

Amazing similarities in both stories, don'tcha think? πŸ˜‰

Eh she could have been a first time user and just done a lot of research, a lot of bad research, that told her what to do to get results. Unfortunately there is a lot of bad info on the inter webs.

Yeah ifihadyoux. Lot of things "off" about this one. Starting with the "soon and the moon", which made me go back and re-read. She claims not to know anything about what she was doing yet, lights candles and arranges them in a circle, does her basic prayer and has someone take notes. Didn't sound like she was a first timer with the board to me.

Hello! I did like your story, but like everyone else I had my doubts. First off like everyone else, why would your friend's mother allow you too play with a oujia board? And another, the way the mom did not cut in during the part where the spirit was abusing you both. Also, tell your friend that her immaturity made the spirit angry, hopefully she knows that already.

Now, I do have some answers of my own from what I just said:p. First off, when your fiend's mom did not interject she might've just been in shock possibly. Other things but I don't have time. I will comment later on.

At babygoatpuller; I am glad I am not the only one who thought that it was similar. I tend to read most stories, especially the news ones, and when I sense deja vu then there is something up.

I also remember a very similar story on here recently ifihadyoux. And just like this one it brought up a lot of doubts.

On the off chance that this is true, I'd also like to know what you and your friend are "suffering" from.

Miracles51031 - Thanks for your reply and the links. Wow! Ouija board in a toy store... Still can't come to terms with it.

The way you type your story is very similar to a previous story on this site, the same as another poster with a similar experience, which I find odd.

Your prayer in the beginning doesn't do diddly squat unfortunately. Sure it gives the Lord's protection over you and has him or his angels watching over you, but it doesn't necessarily keep the bad spirits away.

I personally don't know if I believe in this or not whatsoever. I believe that you believe you saw that thing on the tv, but eh, to each their own.

To contradict Sonali however, yes you can buy them in toy stores, unfortunately, but not many anymore. And the mother could have very well been in a state of shock. If that happened to me I honestly wouldn't know what to do. However she seems calm when she told the girls to tell it goodbye.

To agree with Sonali, I would also like to know how you and your friend are suffering.

Welcome to YGS.

No offence to you but many things in your story make me doubt the authenticity of it.

Firstly, do toy stores really sell Ouija Boards in UK and other western countries? Because they surely don't here in India. Please enlighten me because I genuinely would like to know. Secondly, the fact that your friend's Mom allowed you kids to use Ouija in the first place. Also it is hard to believe that she didn't interfere even when it moved violently across the board nor when it verbally abused you. It just doesn't sound right.

You mentioned about you and your friend suffering due to this. I would surely like to know more, just in case I am wrong.

Thanks
