Oh yes. Old words, new words, they all come together in a glorious swear stew, topped with crunchy cussing croutons.

Both actually. It sounds very interesting and I wish to help out because I really enjoy the site. LOL oi vey, inventing new words huh?

Yeah, that sounds right. Are you just interested in the mod part, or the editing part as well? I warn you though, it's the editing that will have you inventing new swear words. πŸ˜†

Either would be fine. If I contacted him would I just say "hey I would like to be a mod"?

I mentioned to Miracles I was interested in helping out, she contacted admin, and he contacted me. You could contact him directly with the "contact me" link at the top of the page, or I could try getting in touch with him. His schedule is a little full, so I can't guarantee when he could get back to you.

elnora, breaking the train of cancerians. You can't escape us! Muwahahahha.

Miracles, that would be great!:]

Everyone; apparently if you're an amazon prime person you can get fee digital music for meditations, just throwing that out there. I am only doing the trial because I needed an anniversary gift to come [slacker over here] and they offer free 2 day shipping. It's a 30 day trial I am doing. Once I get all I want for free then I am canceling it. Not paying 100 a year. Pfft.

Just to break the Cancer streak, I'm an Aquarius/Pisces Cusp.:P

But my fiance is a Cancer. As in my sister. And my mother.

Ifi - I'll have to check when I get home, but I think it is Charles Littleleaf. Even if it isn't, I like his music too. I have a CD in my truck called Spirit Earth which is also pretty good.

And for the record (trying to catch up on the thread lol) I'm also a Cancer πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜†

Ha, Notjustme, I cried like a baby in a documentary about a lion. The lion died in an accident during filming and it ruined me.

Also, a mother monkey taking care of a sick baby monkey.

Documentaries make me cry, apparently.

elnora- no I haven't yet. I tried exercising twice last year. First time lasted a month in may and the second time lasted 2-3 months in sept - nov I believe. I mean I felt better after walking and stuff but I am also a huge lazy arse haha. Need to go back to the gym.
I wanted to try yoga about 2 months ago but there isn't really a yoga studio around that offers it and I could just get a dvd but then we run into the not being able to use it because of brothers and his mom.

Notjustme- LMFAO I can so picture that! I get all emotional about the tigers and ask to symbolically adopt one and he just is all "no".

Hey me too, I am also a Cancer sign. Super emo kids. I cry reading the news, I once cried watching a prime-mate documentary because the monkey knew how to use a rock to open his nuts, and I found that to be so beautiful. I said to my hubby, "look at that damn smart monkey, he's so beautiful"- LOL my husband was like "wowzers"

Empathy, while it's a good thing to have, can hinder mental health pretty badly- especially when it comes to depression, anger, and anxiety.

I think I am just sensitive because when I read about family's being broken over a death, especially a child, I get way too emotional about it. I act like I knew the person when in reality I didn't. Especially if it's in a place I really like, such as Paris or Tampa, Fl [if you're getting my hints to recent events]. I was born in the sign of Cancer, and they tend to be overly emotional as well so that's not helping me.

Oh me too IFI, I pick up people's emotions way more than I would like, and unfortunately most people carry around bad emotions more than good so if I could tune them out it would be great.
I live with someone with bi-polar and extreme OCD and if I could tune her out I'm sure my health would benefit greatly.

I just need to begin it to open my third eye and become more in tune with my spirituality. I also am interested in it because I am a very emotional, more specifically angry, person and I hear it calms a lot of people so I am interested in that as well for my mental health.

That is what I am here for:D

Seriously, though, thinking about not thinking is weirder than not thinking at all.

I need to stop thinking about that before I confuse myself even further than I currently have.

And this is why I don't meditate well.

lol notjustme, when I start thinking about not thinking, I just start thinking even more:P

The best I have gotten is at least just thinking about calm things by focusing on a crystal, but that only lasted a few minutes.

Hmmmm. I like Miracle's suggestions with the music. I love the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. I should try that.

notjustme - that's one of my biggest problems when I meditate: shutting down my mind. I have a tendency to talk a lot, so my mind continues long after my mouth is shut LOL

Something I do, which helps about 75% of the time, is listen to a CD and concentrate solely on the music. I prefer Native American music or even the soundtrack to Lord of the Rings. But something that I don't get caught up in the lyrics.

My son is actually the one who brought the Native American music to my attention. When he was in Elementary School they had an assembly and some of the invited guests were Native American (don't know which tribe). When I picked my son up from daycare that afternoon, he told me about the assembly and that the Indian's music (flute) helped calm his brain. He was only 8 or 9 at the time. My son is not ADHD, but he realized that as active as his brain is (and he is constantly thinking... And talking LOL), this music helped him.

A friend from f/b sent me two CDs. I kept one for my son and I to listen to and gave the other to my mom. She works at a preschool and said the kids loved it.

So this long narrative is just to say, find something that you can concentrate on that won't allow your mind to stray off track for a long time. I still get sidetracked, but when I do, I immediately focus on the music again.

Best of luck 😊

Notjustme - oh duh, completely forgot about that. I should have known better. But again, I would have to use a spray bottle and do it on an evening when she is not home. Maybe on a weekend day. But at least I don't have to wait for her to go out of town anymore!

Ifi, I don't think you'e dealing with something residual, simply because it turned on your TV. The odds of some 'glitch' making it happen (with the two buttons needing pressed) is really, really small.
Something without odor you could try is a salt-wash. It's exactly as it sounds: dissolve some salt (sea salt is best) in water and wash everything in your room down with it. Pay particular attention to the doorway and window sills. If there's a rug involved, just put it in a spray bottle. Easy-peasy.
Even if you can't use Rook's cleansing, you could still do the shielding part of it. "... Visualize the flame (white light) filled with positive thoughts, energy. (Say a prayer at this time if you so desire... Ask for cleansing positive energy to fill the candles flame/white light). Hold this 'image' in your mind and then visualize the flame (light) slowly expanding outward, visualize it filling the room your in, every corner and 'dark space'. Continue to visualize it expanding...it's outer edges pushing away (burning away) any and all negative energies/entities out and away from each room in your home. Once you have visualized this flame (light) filling your entire home, picture it expanding to your property lines. Hold this image in your mind for a few moments then visualize 'anchoring' this flame (light) where you are sitting which is the center most point of your home. Once you have done this. Take a deep breath, relax a few moments and then blow out the candle. (If you didn't use a candle just let yourself relax a moment or two.) "

Why do you feel it's so important to communicate with him? Just wondering. Have you looked into the history of the house?
And, again, does this happen more often when you've had a bad day? Do the footsteps or the "hey" happen around the same time of night/day?
I'd place my bets on residual or lonely too, or just plain stubborn lol.

LOL I can just picture it now... It's a dark stormy night, as the MODS walk in the big, old mansion, they feel the energy change quick, into a eerie sting. As they make their way to the room where the possessed woman is, they hear muffled sounds. One of them is brave enough to swing open the big heavy door and what they see is astounding! There they were...Notjustme, and IFI pacing back and forth doing what looks like, the chicken dance? And when asked what they were doing, they simply replied "Exorcism...DUH!" LOL πŸ˜†...hoo boy, too much fun today on YGS

Well yes, I wouldn't plan on that either however I have to find a way. Maybe he doesn't want to cross over and he's just lonely? I've only been in the house for a year now. Or this could even be residual since he only says hey but he might be working up to something else. Especially once I practice meditation more maybe I can figure it out.

I can't do a cleansing until my boyfriend's mom goes out of town, which rarely happens, but I plan on doing so once it does. She's highly sensitive to odors and smells, and might confuse it for weed.
MandyyNicole (7 stories) (183 posts)

9 years ago (2015-01-08)
Well. I wouldn't plan on having any full fledged conversations with him or anything, lol. He will probably never utter much more than "hey". If spirits could respond and articulate clearly what they wanted/needed, I think we'd have all the answers we could ever dream of. By helping him move on I mean, tell him. Help him. Do a cleansing. Just because it doesn't respond doesn't mean it can't hear you. If you have tried all of those thingswith no luck, i'd suggest coexisting in peace. He seems harmless enough.
Does he come around more often when you have bad days? He might be trying to say "HEY! CHEER UP MATE!".

And ahh. Meditation. I've experienced things myself while meditating. It is definitely one way to become more "in tune".

lol IFI... Next time try to tell him "Hey" before he does... I wonder how he will react if you manage not be scared and start acting really silly once you feel him.
Like once you start feeling his vibe, break into a chicken dance and repeatedly say hey! Hey! Hey! Hey yourself hey! πŸ˜†

Yes Mandyynicole I agree and also would like to add I think it's because our breathing is calm and normal. That's why during meditation some people encounter things and through that they work on opening their third eye. I want to do this but often get scared when I start getting light headed and stop... Whhichhhh is why I have not even entered the "novice" level of meditation -.-'

I have this theory that 'they' bug us while we sleep, or while we are very close to sleep, because we're more open at that time; our gaurds are down and our minds are less clouded. It's probably one of the easier ways for 'them' to connect with 'us'.
Maybe you could make an attempt at helping this fella move on.

hahahaha notjustme. All I know about this ghost in the house is that he's a guy. I called him a man in this story and made the pun in my story name/tagline. That is all. I don't think there's any ghost called "the man".

Oh and to add to elnora, yeah you have to press two buttons to actually watch the tv. So one button, yeah I totally get but two? Common now.

haha yeah that's what I have been thinking but every time I try to respond he ignores me! Like what do you want? I acknowledge you're there, even though no one else does. πŸ˜•
And no. My boyfriend's mother is really sensitive to smell and since those who don't know the difference between weed and sage know the smell difference, to some they smell the same and I can't use anything scented really. No candles, incenses, sage, etc. I want to though but yeah. Don't know really what to do at this point besides say "hey" first.

My neighbor used to have the same TV as me when I had an apartment and used to accidentally turn my TV on. It's freaky. The multiple buttons needed to turn yours on makes the chances of something like that really, really low.

Apparently, you don't get to sleep unless he says so.

Have you tried a cleanse? I cannot remember from the other stories.
