Val, I have been thinking about this all day. And that it just happened this week somehow let's all of us share it even more. I don't know if that makes sense. But, thank you! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Creature of habit here, always read the new stories from bottom to top, in order of submission, without looking at the author in the 'stories' tab on the site first. Does that make sense? Anyhoo, the story teller is revealed to me as I click on the next experience on the list. Sooo, when I saw this and read the name Valkricry I promptly stood up, put the kettle on, had a break from the rest of the stories, then settled in for another haunting from Val. ๐Ÿ˜‰

But Christ on a bike! I didn't expect anything like THIS! Sooo glad everyone has learned to listen and trust you. They're very lucky to have you and C! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Just 'cause I'm curious does C show herself to you as the same age D is now? Or does she manifest as a different age, like the age of her physical passing?

Thanks so much for sharing and giving everyone here a kick up the butt to trust our gut and ghosties!
I second Wish-Not: WOW!

Miracles,
It's just like I said, we're only crazy until they 'see' it. Even my daughter refers to them as my 'crazy dreams'. But when I call or say something she listens. Once she made friends of hers take a different route then the one they had planned, because I had dreamt that the bridge collapsed. Sure enough on the way back they found traffic being detoured because it did.

Rook, sush, and DeathByDonut;
Hope you don't mind my combining the answer to your questions into one post. No sense in just repeating myself over and over. ๐Ÿ˜‰
As you can imagine things went a bit chaotic at my sister's that night (early morn), but she did call me yesterday afternoon, when she felt better able to cope with the drama of it and they actually had some answers.
First, yes Ed did get the guy. The shot I heard was a warning shot. He then held him at gunpoint until the cops got there to collect him.
Evidently he was acquainted with Ed's grown son, back in highschool and was under the false impression that my sister was well-to-do and had money in the house. He also knew she was old and basically blind - easy mark. Given that most folks don't bother with locking their doors way out in the country, he also wrongly assumed her door would be open. Having lived in Chicago most of her life, locking the doors is basically habit. (Point of interest: it is so habitual with her, they removed the lock from the interior door that leads into the main house in case of an emergency.) So his whole motive was just to rob her. They did find a large hunting knife in his possession, and I shudder to think what he had that for.

val - when I told my friend what I had seen, even though he is a determined non-believer (yep determined LOL), he confirmed the details in my dream and told me if I ever saw anything that had to do with him or his family to pick up that da*n phone and call.

Miracles,
I'm sorry you learned your lesson the hard way, but I'm willing to bet that for most of us that's the way it goes down. Besides they only think we're crazy until it comes to pass! ๐Ÿ˜†

It is rook. It was a typological error. Mad auto correct ๐Ÿ˜ .
Please pardon me for that.

Fabulous, Unbelievable & Extrodinary. It is the most thrilling experience I have just read. Not to mention that it's going to the fav list.

val - what a great story! I am glad you listened to C and called D. To think what she must have been going through before you called her ๐Ÿ˜ข

I had a similar experience, although it was shown to me in a dream, and I didn't make that call. When I found out my dream had played out approximately the same time I had been shown, I thought my heart was going to fall. I told my mom about it and she told me if that ever happened again, pick up that phone and call. It doesn't matter whether or not they think you're crazy โค

So, even at the risk of you sounding off your rocker, I'm glad you called and also that your niece knows to listen to you. Thanks for sharing this with us ๐Ÿ˜Š
