Dandk (and everyone else reading along)

I don't know much about this stuff, so this might sound odd, but is there anyway that whatever my daughter is seeing (this "presence") could be trying to prevent correspondence between us? I have never had more glitching or problems with my router or dead iPhone batteries and misplaced chargers, in my life! I took a screenshot of Rook's message so I could flip back & forth between his message and my message as I was composing mine and for some reason Rook's message kept turning up blurry.

Can energy/spirits/or whatever the heck this is even do this?

As I continue correspondence with you guys I become more educated on how to stop this stuff. Could something be trying to get in the way of our success?

Karen, I wasn't going to write this message, but after reading your post just now, I had to. A weird coincidence about the banging and glitches happened to me this morning as I was writing a response about the banging noises this morning.

I wrote a very personal account of my experience with a spirit banging on my walls and ceiling (or perhaps it was my own energy doing it because I was in the middle of the biggest trauma of my life). When I clicked on the publish button, my screen popped up an error message and told me that my internet connection was out.

I waited for several minutes, rechecking so I could submit my reply. I finally decided that maybe this particular personal account should not be told right now and just then my internet came back on. Weird coincidence! Enough that I won't be telling that story.

Hi guys!

Just checking in now and reading all these wonderful messages!

Ok. So lots of "WOAH" moments reading these!

I think it was your message, aussiedaz, which was one of the first ones. I started reading it and got a little choked up when I read the part about your wife having to sleep in your son's room when he became too afraid of what he was seeing. And that he was diagnosed with mental illness. That is so close to home for me. Literally. I sleep either in my daughter's bed with her now or in an air mattress in her room. Just reading that things stopped for him really filled me with hope that things will be better for my daughter.

Rookdygin, I have heard wonderful things about you from Ginny, so absolutely, yes please! I would be honoured if you would help us.

*and that goes for everyone on this website, the whole YGS family, I am so incredibly grateful for all the help and advice. Every word of EVERY message is read and appreciated and taken to heart. If I don't comment on it, please it's not because I don't value it immensely*

So Rook, I asked my daughter (in a very careful, non creepy way) some of the questions that were posed in the messages and was very surprised by her answers. Maya said that the rocking horse doesn't scare her, it is just creepy, but that "all things that rock are creepy". I asked her to expand on that a little further and she said "like the rocking chair from the farmhouse". I swear I almost fell over. I had COMPLETELY forgotten this thing even existed! We had inherited this old wooden rocking chair from friends of my parents when their father died and they were selling his furniture. It was this beautiful rocking chair with a wicker seat and back. I got it for sitting in to read to my girls but Maya hated this chair so much and made me give it to my parents. She said she always felt like it was going to start rocking on its own. That chair isn't in our possession anymore, but is at my parents house where Maya spends a lot of time. Should I get rid of it or cleanse it?

I asked Maya if there are any other places or objects in the house that make her feel uncomfortable. She said our music room feels creepy. It is a bright sunny room that looks out on the lake and has an antique piano in it, 2 armchairs from a 2nd hand store, a coffee table, a sofa, a fireplace and a bookcase. I asked if it was her sisters piano (because it is old), but she said no. She pointed to one corner of the room that has an antique wooden pair of skis in it and said that corner feels "weird". That corner also has one of the 2nd hand armchairs in it. I pointed that out and Maya said sometimes when she walks past the room at night she feels like if she looks she will see an old couple sitting in the chairs. I have no idea who they belonged to. They were from a Bible For Missions store. She says it's not scary though.

You also asked, Rook, if Maya "felt" any energy from the figures she saw. I felt uneasy asking her this because we never talk about her "hallucinations". I'm glad you prompted me to ask her though! She says (and this is 100% the truth, I know this kid is not fibbing) that when she sees these figures she feels nauseous, gets a migraine type headache almost immediately, feels dizzy or drained, hears buzzing in her ears or feels REALLY hot. She said something else too but I can not remember what it was and she's asleep now! Lol. She doesn't get them all, all at once. Just one, or a combo of a couple.

So yes. If you would like to help us long distance, in any way at all, it would be appreciated more than you know! Thank you!

Caz, your message gave me the chills! When you said you had pictured a rocking horse before I had even mentioned it! Yikes! I'm not even going to waste time cleansing the rocking horse. We are starting Rook's cleansing tomorrow and the rocking horse will be gone before we even start. I was torn because it is an antique and so beautiful and I felt like I should donate it to the Museum, but I don't want to risk the bad energy latching onto someone else.

Yes, I am going to go the route of a Spiritualist Organization to find a Medium, I was emailed a list from the woman who manages the Parsnormal Research group. I chose one spiritual Advisor/Shaman to look up online based on my gut reaction to the name and I am 100% serious she is located right across the street and 2 houses down from the mental health clinic that my daughter goes to! I had no idea. It isn't advertised outside. This list was emailed to me by a woman located hours away. I think that is the Universe trying to tell me something!?!

Biblio, your message really gave me the chills! I agree, the banging and glitching is more to prevent my communication with others than for others to communicate with us. For example I've had no problems with my phone all day but when I tried to type the paragraph for Rook, my phone kept glitching. Your gut instinct to warn me to not seek out/attack/one up/punish this "entity" led me to talk to Maya about how these "visions" are afraid of me, how I don't see anything because I'm not afraid, that's why they "hide". Maya told me that she sees them all around me too, that they aren't as afraid now. I made a comment that I have zero fear and will get rid of them and she said "mummy you should not make them angry". It just creeped me out to basically hear you say the same thing! To not Get angry and attack it.

Aussiedaz. Great idea about the laughter as a talisman in sleep paralysis, but Maya says her vocal chords are completely paralyzed. She says she can move her pinkies and blink her eyelids. That's it.

Ok guys, sorry for the novel!

So much great advice, wanted to say thankyou for everyone who took the time to comment. Really feeling the love from the online community here!

Thanks, Karen x

Bonshaw: I feel I have to tell you about Rook's offer to remote view. He assisted me and my son Brandon in this manner. I have a story on here about it, and sorry if it seems like I'm trying to plug my own stories, but the title is "Notes Between Friends". You can find it by going to my profile by clicking my screen name.

There are several others he has helped in this way, also, so maybe someone else will chime in and plug their story, too 😆

Bonshaw, I want to touch on the sleep paralysis and attempt to help you devise a plan for Maya to help her control her bouts of sleep paralysis, It can be controlled but it takes some almighty discipline of mind and a few tricks to basically beat it... I have done this many times and it works for me and a few others here who have had some success doing the same. The difficult thing for Maya is her young age and her ability to overcome the fear. I kid you not when I say this, but during one bout of my sleep paralysis I started laughing and it disappeared automatically which tells me this... Fear in ones own mind gives total strength to the account of sleep paralysis and laughter is the best medicine of them all. I'm not suggesting you can simply ask Maya to laugh, but it helps tremendously when one can confront the fear element of sleep paralysis and take back control... Knowledge is power, what causes sleep paralysis? There is a gland in our brain referred to as the pineal gland, it works like a switch that takes us into dreamland and brings us back to reality... Unfortunately for some, on the way back from dreamland the gland kind of flickers in transit in a semi waking state... Depending on what's going in the mind or the dream that ones having, sleep paralysis creeps into reality and leaves the person feeling helpless and terrified...I'm thinking to start Maya off, you could try to work on some type of Mantra? A very simple one, (Sleep paralysis is a medical condition and there's no need to be frighten)... Convince Maya that sleep paralysis is a common condition and many people suffer from it... Those who can control the fear do over come it... My eldest son only a few years ago in a college in Indiana had a bout of sleep paralysis 4 o'clock in the afternoon. He told me he was attacked by a demon. You can imagine how I felt back here in Australia after all these years of protecting him, know confronted with this scenario... I was able to convince him that sleep paralysis was medical condition... Shared my own accounts with him and he has basically overcome it all together. The sliding door scenario to that account... If I'd panicked and went down the demon road it may not have been wise for him at all... Our kids trust us, as you pointed out Maya trust you...it's in your hands mate. Best wishes.

Karen- The best advice I could give you is to accept Rook's offer to help. He's been an integral part of this community for a long time and while I've not needed or asked for his assistance, I have "seen" his wisdom and courage to assist other members in these situations and he's gotten amazing results.

Your forwardness with this problem is truly concerning to us all and I honestly think Rook may be able to bring relief, if not a conclusion to your situation.

Sorry about the muddle here, Karen!

Caz, YOU made two posts: 1. "You think it's ok to sell it Rook? You would know better than me!" 2. "Sorry...That comment was meant for you Biblio!" I, upon reading the second post, scanned back and I MISREAD your first post; I thought you meant "Biblio, is it ok for Karen to sell it TO Rook?" This confusion mystified me, primarily because we have no idea if Rook would want to purchase it, we don't know who would want to pay for the shipping & the shipping insurance, and we have no idea what possible good could come of selling it.

As I stated, your confusion in directing messages confused me. You corrected your earlier error with the post "Sorry guys... Yes it was meant for Rook," which you wrote WHILE I was responding to the mis-directed quote which I -in turn- had misread.

(Deep Breath: "Ok, Everyone; back to paranormal chaos as usual, before Puff Bayram makes us wash the Ms. Demeanor for unnecessarily confusing a straightforward conversation and investigation into Karen's problem!")

NO FURTHER CLARIFICATIONS ON THIS POINT ARE NECESSARY, NO FURTHER APOLOGIES NEEDED! Let's just stay on-topic for Karen's sake.

Best, with a rueful grin,
Biblio.

Caz:

Good idea, but the cost of shipping a rocking horse would outweigh the value of the object as a toy or an heirloom, and Rook would then need to exorcize the spiritual energy anyway, leaving him with an over-priced piece of wood.

The few "uncleansable" objects I've researched either were created deliberately to be containment vessels, or were spiritually reinforced to act as containment vessels (Aladdin's lamp, Dybbuk boxes, etc., etc.). They are not usually the source of voluntary hauntings so much as supernatural prisons. It'd take a seriously sick team of b*st*rds to make one out of a child's toy: a malevolent Trojan rocking horse. (Dark magical spellcasters with a taste for Greek Epics or for D. H. Lawrence's short stories? It just sounds too much like a cartoonish parody of evil, sipping brandy by the fireplace, dreaming up mischief for the sake of causing harm to random strangers.)

I've already advocated getting started on cleansing the home AND on taking Rook's offer of help. If anything, I'd hope that using Rook's cleansing method would help Rook to locate the problem in his astral travels. The object is usually just an object; it's the intentions behind the use of the object that matter.

It was a good suggestion, Caz, but the cost of shipping from "somewhere in Canada" to "somewhere in the American Southwest" is going to be a bother, especially if Rook is willing to visit to examine the location anyway.

Best,
Biblio.

If one or both of the children are felling any type of energy coming from the rocking horse it may simply be a case of 'this toy is not for you' rather than any 'true negative attachment' to the rocking horse... However the energy attached to the rocking horse could be 'drawn upon' so that other spirits can manifest.

The word used to describe the rocking horse was 'creepy'...not 'the rocking horse scares me' I know it seems I am splitting hairs however its the overall 'feeling' I get from reading the O/P original submission and subsequent comments.

Respectfully,

Rook

Karen:

You've received a lot of advice and support from everyone here; my respects to everyone who has tried to help.

I'm just going to expand upon one line in Daz's last message: "The banging you refer to is a form of communication." I commend Daz on setting boundaries for the sake of his son's sanity, but this seems to me like your situation has escalated beyond this point, and the banging/glitching phenomena are an effort to prevent your communicating with your new-found sympathetic support group. Yes, "it" -whatever it may be- is trying to keep your attention focused upon it in order to negotiate with you, but this effort is misplaced; it has been holding your daughter hostage for a prolonged period but your strength has become intimidating. I would clarify that this entity is displaying the cowardice Mack mentioned; you and your daughter have both become aware of this. When it wishes to communicate, I strongly recommend avoiding negotiations -you are in a position to dictate terms! It is unwelcome, it has terrorized your child, it has interfered with your life, and it has suddenly discovered that it wants to negotiate? No!

A clearly-worded caveat: DO NOT attack it with a desire to punish it and to 'one-up' it! Get rid of it ONLY with the simple intention of protecting your children from further grief. Call it whatever you will, (Karma, Balance, Justice, etc.), taking the opportunity to exploit its weakness in order to feel the warm glow of revenge WILL NOT be good for anyone in the long run. You want it to be gone from your lives; you don't want it waiting for an opportunity to repay a grudge. (Please, don't ask me for clarifications on this point -I don't always have the rational explanation I would like!- but I'm getting the strong impulse to warn against this sort of behavior. I'm more an intuitive than a psychic or a medium, so sometimes I am way off-base! Reading over this thread was my first instinct today, and writing this response was setting off my "urgent!" alarm.)

I admire the closeness you have with your daughters; however, you are not only the nurturing parent, but you are also the 'take charge' parent. At this juncture, you would do well to take the lead with Maya; remind her "because she says the shadow people are afraid of me and that the bad dreams and sleep paralysis don't come when she is with me," YOU want her help in being thorough DOING the house-cleansing. Note the phrasing: it IS going to happen either way, but you would like her help. Teens want to be treated like adults, but they are terrified that no-one is really in charge of decision-making, so any negative results will be their fault. Make the decision to clear away the fear of responsibility, and Maya will find that very comforting. Now, back to SDS's original suggestion: look up and print out Rook's cleansing ritual and get started a.s.a.p. Include the rocking horse in the cleansing (If this were my situation, I'd start there as a convenient focal point) and go to town cleaning up negative energy and spiritual debris from your lives! Supernatural riff-raff need not loiter near your home, your children, and your belongings!

Call 'em out and kick 'em out!

Best,
Biblio.

Karen...I have heard of objects that just 'can't be cleansed' though people have tried and the object ultimately has to be destroyed. I'm not saying the rocking horse is one of those, but when you were asked by someone if you had bought any old objects, a mental image of a rocking horse just popped into my head and I've no idea why...I'm not even a medium and when I read your reply, you could've knocked me down with a feather, but it made me shudder! Just coincidence maybe? You could try cleansing it anyway, but how could you know if it had worked? There are many good mediums on this site, who may be able to answer that question! PS... I think you are doing everything right by the way, but I'd still try to ring one of the spiritualist organisations in Canada, explain the situation and ask them to recommend a someone! There are far too many fake mediums out there!

Karen,

I have read through your experience AND the comments (love all the good advise and positive comments folks, more power to the YGS Family 😉). It was in the comments that I found this comment by you...

"I have talked to Maya about the house/rocking horse cleansing. It's a VERY fine line I have to walk. I DON'T know if what she is seeing is spiritual/paranormal or if they are hallucinations caused by mental illness,..."

There is such a fine line between a mental illness/disorder and actual psychic abilities it can be very hard to determine just what an individual my be experiencing HOWEVER you mentioned something else your daughter seems to be sensitive too as well... The energy with in the home... Perhaps a question you could ask her is something along the lines of... Did you 'feel' any energy from the figure (s) you saw? If the answer is no, then perhaps it was caused by the Stress and Anxiety that seem to be a part of being Bi-Polar. HOWEVER if she 'felt' an energy coming from or during the time the figure (s) manifested perhaps she experienced something paranormal. I hope that makes sense... A Journal may help determine just how many 'visitations' are merely mental images or actual spiritual manifestations.

I do feel it is a good idea to sell the Rocking Horse... If your daughter if 'feeling' energy come off of it (good or bad) getting rid of it may help reduce any 'power source (s) ' spirits may be using to manifest with-in your home.

With your permission I would like to try and help you 'long distance'. It would work like this...

First, you give me permission to help you and your Family.

Second, I would attempt to 'visit' your home via 'Astral Projection'. I will post 'validation points' (at least 3) and you confirm them... If you confirm them I will share any other information I gathered... And offer advice based on it and my personal experiences... If none of the Validation Points work I will make 2 more attempts (I stop after 3 tries... Either I have 'found the home' or I'm not going to).

I have done this for other individuals seeking help on YGS and some of the older members (I hope) will vouch for me. I just want to offer any aid I can to you and your Family.

Respectfully,

Rook

You talk about making rules Bonshaw, my youngest son has the gift. Up until he was about 14, he used to see a lot of stuff in our home that scared him so much, my wife had to sleep with him. It was about then, I made some rules in my home with our friends from the other side that went like this...you're welcomed in my home but you must not go anywhere near my children, knock, bang jump or whatever but you must communicate through me on all occasions, (maybe you can try that?) he is now 20 years old, although he too has been diagnosed with anxiety and mild depression, all of those accounts stopped way back then, but not for me... The banging you refer to is a form of communication, Although the last few months have been quite, sometimes it can be quite intense and sometimes I can get them to knock when trying to sort out the means of there visit.

Mac, yes, there are no grey ghost, among the Newtonian ideology of the macro pill pushers, most of them believe consciousness emulates from the brain... Truth is, no one knows where consciousness comes from, some theoretical physicist believe it's outside the brain and personally I believe they are right. Our brain is just a receiver IMO, medications can stifle that reception and for someone having a very difficult time dealing with accounts of unwanted transmissions either brought on by a second party or created with in the mind of the individual, then medication may be the only answer unfortunately... I would like to see some sort of breakthrough in understanding the nature of consciousness, so it would filter down to our medical practitioners for a revamp of strategies... I really do believe some other methods of treatments that don't have side affects would be available for the patient, if they understood that consciousness was outside the body and approached the problem from that angle... Problem with that though, if consciousness is outside the body, then physical death has no part in it's continuum of existence... Hard pill for them to swallow!

Hi Karen. I feel you are definitely on the right path when you write about not being afraid and challenging the entities.
I maintain that cowards and bullies are drawn to people who are afraid, so that they can scare and bully them, which in turns give the bullies, sociopaths etc a false sense of power.
I believe that When these people pass over, they are exactly the same type of people; they get off on frightening others and feed off that negative energy of fear and intimidation.
It's really important to not be scared by these lowlife scum. Stand up to them, know that they can't hurt you and your daughters and that resilience will in turn, hopefully pass on to your girls.
Then, once these entities no longer feel powerful because there's no fear, they will hopefully leave your family alone.
Regards
Mack

Ok

Rocking horse will not be sold. It will just be going out then. I thought it could be cleansed and passed on, but if that's not possible... I don't want to take chances.

I agree with your old hag story, aussiedaz, and that you had the power to stop "her". That's basically what I'm trying to do here at my house now. Stop this activity.

Maya wants me to sleep on an air mattress in her room because she says the shadow people are afraid of me and that the bad dreams and sleep paralysis don't come when she is with me.

I am FIERCELY protective of my daughters (insert image of lioness and Cubs here:) I'm not sure if it's a single mum thing or if it's because we've been had a lot of tough breaks in our lives and it's made us super close? But the 3 of us are very close and I would literally give my life for my children and when I feel like they are threatened or frightened by this stuff in the house I feel this rush of fierce cold fury and I don't know where it comes from but it's like strength that I've never felt before. So calm and quiet, like I could literally take on an army. I have zero fear. I have been afraid of scary movies my whole life, I have been afraid of the dark my whole life, every house we have ever lived in has been filled with nightlights and I have never been able to be downstairs at night in the dark without my dog without feeling unsettled, I've always felt freaked out like something was lurking in the shadows. Now, when my daughter says she sees something that is terrifying her and she is white and shaking. I calm her down and assure her that she is ok, get her tucked in with a book and a hot chocolate, stay very calm and soothing... And then when I close her door I feel that strength surge through me and go on a hunt lol. I will prowl through the house, all the way down to the dark basement, even without the dog, seeking out what is scaring my daughter. IF there is anything there I say it had better get its butt out of MY house. After reading up now on mediums and spirits I am a little educated on how you can set rules on things like "minding manners", no scary stuff and respectful hours. I'm still finding a lot of this stuff hard to take in but this new found courage is a big eye opener. It's a gift from someone... Or somewhere.

This is off topic but I would like to add that whenever I write posts for this website there are loud bangs in my house and sometimes my phone glitches (writing this on my iPhone) very weird. Extremely loud bang about 2 minutes ago. I found the same thing when I was talking to the woman at the Paranormal Investigation group. Not the banging noises, just my keyboard on my iPhone was glitchy and kept dropping letters.

Daz - well put. I agree entirely. I was also attacked by something (a story I posted) and had I seen a medical "specialist" I would have probably been diagnosed as some kind of unbalanced nutter.

Science / medicine has it's place for sure, but in my experience, things are seen in "black and white" terms and they seem to be too quick to prescribe a pill, which often has horrific and unsettling side-effects which can lead to a whole host of other unwanted problems.

Karen...I don't have much time right now to say all that I want, but I'll post again tomorrow! If you think there is 'any chance' that the horse could have an 'attachment', please don't sell it to anyone! Chop it up and take it to the dump! Otherwise, you may inadvertently pass the problem on to another family! I know you are a good person and that's the last thing you'd want!

Bonshaw, You seem like such a dedicated loving mother I think the community here do really feel for your circumstances. I also think it's unfair sometimes when a person is tagged as having a mental illness, medicated and then pushed aside by the general community more so the medical association when it's possible other factors are playing a part in your daughters circumstances. About 30 years ago I was physically attacked by an old hag. It wasn't a shadow, it wasn't a dream, it was as real to me as the world around me is on every other day. I have no doubt if I went to see a doctor back then, they would have tagged me with something along the lines of your daughter. Was it a hallucination? I don't know, I basically refused to believe it was real and then she went away which at least lends a clue to who was really in charge of my account?, funny thing about that account, all these years later I found this website and to my surprise I found many other folk here who have experienced the old hag syndrome, how would the medical association explain that one? Reaching for there Darwinian laws and principles of medicine I doubt they would find a reference to that aspect keep in mind 30 years ago, there was no internet and I wasn't into reading books on the old hag to implant my illusion... Just like you too may wonder about the shadow people? I wonder if every person here went off to a see a doctor about their paranormal accounts how many of us would then be described with suffering for something? I think we all agree, that the medical association are trigger happy to diagnose a person with something once you start talking about ghost, shadows or old hags, not to say with some people there may be a chemical imbalance causing their illusion... And yes I would receive another red stamp for seeing shadow people... Many theoretical physicist will tell you that life itself is an illusion... What gives it it's shape and conformity of normality are the mass consensuses of we the people, consciousness, is at the base of the universe and we are basically consciousness conductors or creators. I do understand how real these accounts are for your daughter, she needs to sort of retune her physic antenna to conform her reality and illuminate these so call illusions. It can be done, I refused to fear or give the old hag any air or space in my thoughts and basically that's what it comes down to. If she can learn not to fear these accounts it will help her deal with them better.

Valkricry

Maya has been diagnosed BiPolar 2 and with Anxiety and OCD.

I can't pinpoint a day that all this stuff started, but the day we moved into the old farmhouse and the day I brought the antique rocking horse home were chronologically close together.

I don't think I'm even going to take a chance cleansing the rocking horse. It's very old and when I asked Maya about it she said it's always "given her the creeps". I have it listed online for sale already.

Wow. I am so overwhelmed and touched by all the support from the people on this site! What a nice and caring group of people you guys are! Seriously, this has been so worrying and exhausting but it's amazing how some kind, supportive words from strangers can supercharge your mum batteries:)

I have made an appointment with a Psychologist to get a second opinion on Maya. I am also still trying to find a Medium. It seems like every one I have looked up online is a "1 800" type, unfortunately. I know that the real ones ARE out there though. They just don't advertise it seems. They are more word of mouth.

I have talked to Maya about the house/rocking horse cleansing. It's a VERY fine line I have to walk. I DON'T know if what she is seeing is spiritual/paranormal or if they are hallucinations caused by mental illness, so I have to choose my words very carefully. I don't want to dismiss what she is seeing as "not real" if she IS a medium (because she swears it is real), but at the same time, IF they are hallucinations to validate them would be very dangerous for her. I told her about the house cleansing and how it can be literal for some and symbolic for others. How we would be cleaning out the old energies and bad dreams and bad thoughts and worries and anything in the house that didn't belong there. That the energy of the house would be rebalanced. No bad dreams, good thoughts and creativity and happiness and good health would flourish and the house and us would be wrapped up in a light of protection. I didn't say anything specifically about the scary stuff she was seeing/hearing, She is a wise girl, much wiser than the average 13yr old and she can fill in those blanks herself that that scary stuff would be "banished".

I don't know if I'm saying the right things? I don't know if I'm doing the right stuff? I'm literally fumbling in the dark here. I don't even watch scary movies and now I feel like I'm living one and I feel like this situation is SO fragile. Our kids always are and the words we choose to speak to them have to be chosen and weighed so carefully because they can lift them up or tear them down and I've always thought of myself as a good mum but I'm seriously just kind of taking stabs in the dark here. That's why I appreciate your advice so much everyone. You guys obviously know WAY more about this stuff than I do!

Bonshaw: It appears that you're doing everything within your power to find a solution. The toughest part about the whole situation is not knowing one way or the other. Val's suggestion about having her help with the cleansings is very good advice. It couldn't hurt. I think it's a win-win. If she is a medium, the cleansings should help dispel any negative energies; if not it should help to at least calm her.

I wish you nothing but the best, and please keep us posted on her progress. ❤

Karen,
From what you've told us, I gather Maya was diagnosed with bipolar 2, which does have hallucinations and delusions, unlike bipolar 1. What disturbs me, is that you've stated that you've never witnessed any highs in her moods, just the lows, and the medications aren't helping although they keep increasing the dosages. I would most definitely get a 2nd opinion. There are several different medications used to treat bipolar, and not all of them work for everyone. But with almost all of them, you need to be weaned off not stop suddenly. Based on the lack of mood swings (prior to the diagnoses) I can't help but wonder if she was misdiagnosed. A second opinion would do no harm, and could work wonders.
You asked about cleansing the rocking horse - yes! In fact cleanse everything that had been in those other houses. You might consider having Maya help you with it. Unless you feel this would be detrimental to her mental well-being. I say this because it could give her a sense of control - something is being done! A positive action. Something she can do.
Curiosity prompts me to ask, did Maya's 'episodes' (for lack of a better term) begin before or after you brought the rocking horse home?

Hi, I haven't read anyone else's comments yet but just from what you have said it seems as though Maya might be sensitive to the spirit world. They will follow her because they know she can sense them. She needs someone who has experience with that sort of thing to help her through it. I am concerned about the doctors increasing doses of medications etc, that's not something you can 'medicate' away. Poor angel, really hope you manage to find the help you're looking for soon! ❤

Karen: thus far, you have made clear and sensible choices with regards to your daughter's well-being. The sleep clinic was a very good idea; I'm impressed with the thoroughness of your approach!

Both Randy and Frangelica raise good points; first, if the medium wants to bill you, she is someone who is trying to exploit a talent or to fleece the gullible. Most sincere mediums feel uncomfortable trying to make a living off of mediumship; it is far too draining an experience! Many are either stay-at-home parents, or hold down a 9-5 job like everyone else, and do psychic consulting work for free, for travel expenses, or for a donation to be determined by the client. Your instincts, given hour descriptions, were right: trust them! Most sincere psychics and mediums try to remain somewhat innocuous, though -in my experience- each has a sense of balanced self-assurance and of deep compassion for others (even for strangers). You will know, without reservation, when you meet the right person to support Maya.

You are clearly taking precautions while exploring every avenue to help your child. Well Done! Don't give up hope; your actions demonstrate that you are stronger than you think!

With great respect,
Biblio.

Karen,
One other thing that I'm sure you have considered.
Be wary of anyone who wants to charge you a big sum of money.
Its ok if you wish to help compensate someone for their travel expenses
And a little time with you but stay away from anyone who demands a bunch
Of money to "cure" your daughter.
I have thought about your post every since I read it a few hours ago
And I keep coming back to a young gifted person who needs training in how to deal with her abilities. Such things as being able to turn it off
When she needs her private time. I feel certain that with the right help she will get there. Remember, we're all pulling for her and you.

Karen,

Yes there are mediums out there that give all mediums a bad name. Go with your gut when talking with them. I agree based on what you just wrote that the two you talked with are not right for you. Keep looking - you will just know inside who is right when you talk with them - you should feel uplifted and not down after speaking with the right one!

Thank you so much for your kind words!

I will try to find a medium. It's just hard trying to find a good reputable one. I was given the names of 2 and one just wanted to bad mouth a church that she had left (which made me feel uneasy), the other kept going on and on about money on her website (which makes me think she's a scam, in it for the wrong reasons).

This is SUCH a delicate thing, I want to make sure we are with a truthful good person, not a scam artist out to make a buck

Thanks for your post!

I agree with what you said and did seek out a second opinion.

I wasn't seeing the manic highs associated with BiPolar, just the lows. I did a lot of research on it and when I asked my daughters doctor about this, she said that the mania side could present itself as extreme paranoia or hallucinations or feelings of grandeur.

I still wanted to leave no stone overturned so I took Maya for a full physical, they did bloodwork, did a CAT scan, tested her thyroid, even her heart. There's no underlying medical factor at all. We even went to a sleep clinic last Wednesday so she could have a sleep study done to make sure this isn't a "sleep thing".

So with the physiological side of things ruled out it can only be a psychological or paranormal thing. I'm hoping that by meeting with a good reputable medium we will either find out that it IS paranormal and take the necessary steps to control/block what is happening, or find out that there is no supernatural gift here and that this is purely mental illness and then we can have an answer to our question and focus on that way of getting better

Hi Karen,

I just saw your 2 responses that have come in as I submitted my response to you. I think the paranormal investigator is correct in what they have told you - perhaps they may know of a medium that could see your daughter?

I also think that you are on the right course in getting your daughter the help she needs. I have come across many children with this gift that have come into the courses I have taken seeking help and a reputable medium will be able to help your daughter feel safe and control the visits.

Recently, I have met a friend that I have encouraged to take some mediumship classes because I know she has the ability also and she said "she sees too much already and doesn't want to see any more" - I told her that the class actually helps gifted people like herself control what she sees and feels. She is now considering taking some courses! Some of us take the courses to learn to see and hear and feel spirit more but some people need the classes to learn how to shield themselves and shutoff the many spirits from entering their space.

I truly feel that you are a wonderful mother to your daughters and believe you are heading the right way to help your daughter! I will be thinking of you all and wishing you only the best for you and your family!

Hi sds

Thank you for your comments

I will definitely do the cleansing.

I actually do the white light thing. It's funny, I didn't know anyone else did that!:) every night at bed, before I go to sleep I picture an orb of white light detonating in the centre of my house and the white light blasting through my house, filling every nook and cranny, to the far reaches of my property, covering myself and my daughters, spilling out the windows and doors, bathing everything in dazzling protective white light.

I also encourage Maya to use "brave words" when she is seeing things that frighten her. I explained to her that words can be talismans and that a word or phrase or prayer can protect her.

As for the object that I may have bought that was in the farmhouse...

I got chills when I read that because I have never thought about that but all the original furniture we had in the farmhouse is gone. The beds, sofas, dining table, TV everything. Except for my bed and an antique rocking horse. After we moved into the farmhouse I randomly one day drive past an antique store and the guy who owns it was unloading stuff out his truck. He had the most beautiful wooden rocking horse sitting on the tailgate of his truck. My youngest daughter's bday was coming up and she loves horses so I made him an offer and bought it right there. It's really old, carved from one piece of wood with a leather saddle and real horse hair for its tail. That horse has been with us in every house since then. Could it have something to do with what's going on? Should I cleanse it too?

Hi Karen,

First of all I am so sorry for what you and your 2 sweet girls have gone through. I also think the advice given by everyone here is very good. I also think you should get a second medical opinion and also find a true psychic medium to sit down with your daughter before sending her to a hospital for further evaluation since the doctors have indicated that may be needed in a few months and not immediately.

I have recently trained as a medium and I want to caution you to be careful choosing a psychic medium to avoid any pretenders. I am sure others here that also have psychic/mediumship experience can also give you tips on finding a reputable psychic medium. I hope someone here may even know a reputable psychic/medium to recommend to you that lives close to you.

Otherwise, I would recommend searching online for an evidential medium to help your daughter. In being trained as an evidential spiritual medium, I learned the way to provide mediumship readings is to provide proof of knowledge from spirit that only your daughter and you would know so that you can verify the info is truly coming from someone close to you in the afterlife. This medium should also be able to help your daughter protect herself with light and teach her how to shutdown the spirits around her.

You could also check out the Spiritualist church, etc online for names if you have trouble finding someone for your daughter.

The medical profession in most cases will not even consider the potential of a spiritual cause of your daughter's problems. Hopefully you can rule out that your daughter has strong psychic/mediumship abilities first before sending her to a hospital for an in house evaluation.

Best of luck to you and your two daughters. We are all rooting for you to finally find some peace for your daughter!

Hi DandK

My daughter Maddy isn't having any experiences at all. She smelled the bad smell when we lived in the farmhouse and says she was "told" one night that her sister was going to die (but I strongly believe this was just a very vivid nightmare) and in our last house she heard bangs in her closet. In our new house she hasn't seen/sensed/smelled or heard anything.

Thanks!

Hi guys.

This is Karen here (Bonshaw75).

First off I would like to give a big heartfelt thank you to everyone for the posts and great advice! I will try to touch on every great piece of advice, but apologize in advice if I forget someone.

Since I initially wrote the email to this website, things got even stranger in my house and my daughter had a few visits with her doctor. Her meds were raised and the meds coupled with regular counselling and a great home routine didn't help with the things she was seeing.

Not to go off topic, but to touch on what some people had brought up, my daughter has a "set" bedtime every night to shoot for 8-10 hours of sleep a night. We eat healthy whole foods, eat organic and she is a kid who chooses veggies and fruit over candy most days anyways. I have a strict "no scary movie" policy so that she isn't getting any "ammo" for her imagination and we are an active family. We have a home gym, we have horses, we live on a lake and have a hiking trail right outside our front door, so she has an active life.

So physically she is very healthy. Mentally I am worried about her and believed that she did have Bi Polar disorder, but the meds didn't stop the hallucinations. Even when the meds were raised they got worse. It also didn't make sense to me (as some of you mentioned) why her sister, myself and our dog had heard/sensed/smelled/seen strange and inexplicable things. So I decided that since we have that large chunk of time before the bed at the institute ready for my daughter (she is on a wait list for a bed) I would do some research and investigating.

Before I go any further with this I would like to say that I never let my daughter see any of my fear or doubt or worry. It is just myself and my 2 daughters and I have provided a good, stable, happy home for my girls full of light and love. To answer some of you, yes there is lots of music and stability. My daughter is going through something very difficult so I have created an environment around her that is as safe and warm and supportive as can be. It is a fine line to walk where I can say "yes I believe this is happening to you" and still make her feel safe. For the longest time I have (at her doctors request) told her "I believe you THINK you are seeing this stuff, BUT it isn't real, it is just your anxiety/BiPolar disorder". Now I am rethinking that and what I say.

I have contacted a Paranormal Investigator (a real one, not a phoney) and what they told me was that some people are mediums and attract spirits to them like moths to a flame. She said that it sounds to her that my daughter is a medium and is doing this and that she's doing it pretty strongly and that until she learns how to control it or turn it off she will continue to see these things. She said I should contact a medium and have our house cleansed/blessed, but that there's not much point having a Paranormal team come out. That she was almost positive it was my daughter and not our houses creating these occurrences.

So I will do the house cleansing that was posted. Thank you for that!

Also I have decided that IF, after cleansing the house and meeting with a medium, the strange activity disappears in our house, then I will not send my daughter to the children's institute. The thought of her seeing this stuff there 2 hours away from home is horrible.

That is indeed a fair and good question.
Having never searched for a person of that sort I do not know the answer
Perhaps an internet search would be a place to start.
Maybe some other on this site have some suggestions

Many people have mentioned that Karen should find a reputable person with similar abilities as Maya to help her. My question as a person new to this site and subject is how should Karen go about finding this person?

It seems like it should be word of mouth, or is there an officially sanctioned organization that can be trusted, like when searching for a Dr?

Sorry if my question seems naive.

Hello Karen and welcome to YGS
So sorry to hear of all you and your child are going through.
Nothing is worse for a parent than to see their child suffer.
I seem to think your daughter may have special abilities. Naturally when your child is ill you take them to a doctor. However in this case you have to know that a doctor admitting that her problem could in fact be paranormal and related to abilities is never going to happen. Never
Most times a person who ends up with abilities has them manifest as a child. Before I would allow my child to be put in a hospital I would hope you could find a reputable adult with these abilities who may be able to teach her how to handle and control them. It could be a great help to her just being able to talk to someone who has had the same type of experiences. Someone who can relate to her and she to them. She needs your love and support which I can tell she gets. Many times you will hear someone with gifts like this and they all say one of the things that made it hard growing up was having a parent not believe them.
It may not be much but we are here for you. Please keep us informed and we will keep you and Maya in our thoughts

Hi Karen - welcome to YGS and thanks for sharing your experiences. I believe you and your heart-felt request for answers / assistance. Some very sound advice offered here already and can I sincerely tip my hat in particular to Biblio who has offered some intelligent and insightful advice.

On the face of it, to me your daughter appears to have psychic abilities and is some sort of focal point / conduit for spiritual activity. In this case, unfortunately and for reasons I can only guess, they are negative entities.

To put your daughters possible abilities into context, may I ask, was there ANY sign of this kind of ability prior to you moving into the 200 year old house?
Is there any family history of mediumship / psychic abilities etc on either side? Even yourself? Often, people who are gifted in this way have a Grandparent, parent etc who were also gifted.

It would appear, on the face of it that something (s) may have followed your daughter to your new house. I suggest finding a REPUTABLE medium / psychic to sit with your daughter and see what they can sense about and around her.

Now, on the flip side of this whole thing is the MEDICAL aspect. I'm clearly not a Dr. So please take this with a grain of salt, but in my experience, often schizophrenia symptoms have parallels to mediumship. Hearing voices, seeing figures, hallucinations. Have you explored that with a trusted medical professional? The reason I ask is that her visions are truly terrifying and disturbing in their nature and for some one so young.

This may be too personal but it could help with putting this into context; Are you able to elaborate on your daughters relationship with her father? Does he have contact? Is she traumatized by the separation?

I have no doubt your daughter is experiencing anxiety as she is going through an extremely traumatic time, but in my non-professional opinion, bi-polar is a big call. Has she demonstrated those manic highs and depressive episodes prior to the move to the farm house? If not, then as Caz said, it's a chicken and egg thing; what has caused what?

Others may disagree, but to me it appears that many health "professionals" pigeon hole patients then simply throw antibiotics, or Ritalin etc at people because it's easier. We generally lack a truly holistic health system where spirituality is considered with physical as they both effect each other.

All I can really add is to remain (it's tough sometimes) very positive, fill your self and daughters with a deep love, and know that whilst things can appear hopeless, remember that clouds temporarily cover the sun, but the clouds always pass. The most difficult experiences are the ones that we are tested to our core and are forced to find those reserves of inner strength. And once we have found those reserves and know what we can achieve (and overcome), we always have that knowledge inside us.

Regards

Mack

Karen...You have had lots of advice from very good people on here! Though it may differ, they all have your best interests at heart. Doctors love to stick labels on things. Bi-Polar is depression and anxiety speaks for itself! Anyone who is being terrorised by anything is bound to be anxious and depressed! You said they want to institutionalise your daughter within the next 3 to 6 months, well that's good, because it means 'you have time'! You don't have to decide anything yet! There's no reason why you can't follow the advice given now and see how it goes! Personally I would deal with the spiritual stuff first, because it's obviously there! Don't call in any Paranormal Investigation teams, because unless they have someone who is an expert in these matters on their team and few of them do, they will just investigate and gather evidence and go away, leaving you to deal with the problems yourself! I would suggest you make that phonecall first, then do Rooks cleansing and as Aussiedaz has suggested, try and fill your home with love, laughter and light! It may well be that your daughter is ill, but whether the entities caused it, or were drawn to her because of it, still remains to be seen. It's a chicken and egg situation! The advice you have been given is all good, so there's nothing to lose by trying that first and maybe even everything to gain!

Karen,

I am sorry to hear what is happening to you, I would try to do a cleansing of your house and to pray and get closer to Church, like they say, "there is power in numbers", as per your daughter's mental health I can only tell you my personal experience, my son was diagnosed bipolar with depression by the Canadian Health system but through my private insurance I have taken him to two different therapists (Psychotherapists) and they both disagree with the diagnosis, I would suggest to try other options before placing your daughter in an institution, that is a very traumatic experience for a child.
All the best!

Hello dear. I personally think your daughter is very sensitive towards these things. And I think these things have somehow got attached to her and are following her everywhere. I think its not in the house its with her. That is why she can see them at school aswell. I recommend you to go visit some preist or father of some church or mosque. You really need to do this as soon as you can. I wish you and your daughters good luck. Keep hope and stay strong:)

I think your daughter has allowed her negative thoughts to play havoc on her mind and on top of her bipolar condition, it's not surprising to read she suffers bad accounts of sleep paralysis... Granted there may be a paranormal component to your story, but what I think you need to do, is to create a more happier environment around her and try a few tricks to turn around the negative vibe into a more positive one... What makes your daughter happy? Singing, dancing, cooking, painting etc? Encourage her to take up a hobby, don't watch scary movies, talk about ghost or refer to things as bad energy, drop the discussions on religion and spirituality for a while,... Perhaps let her sleep with the light on and play some soft classical music... Watch her diet, (any allergies) perhaps encourage her to run? Running is a great exercise that help makes you tired towards the end of the day, is she sleeping too long in the morning? I know you are frustrated... But it appears to me, that her imagination along with some accounts of the paranormal are way too much for her to handle...Granny's suggestion of a second opinion is not a bad idea... Not sure I'd send her away, without trying something else? I'm not a doctor just my thoughts on your account...goodluck!

Bonshaw...Whether your daughter has a psychological problem is one thing, but the fact that 'all 3' of you plus your dog are experiencing things would suggest that there is definitely something supernatural going on here! For goodness sake 'don't send your daughter away'! If something is following her, she'll be alone and scared! She needs her greatest ally by her side to see her through this and that is you! Keep her close and surround her with love! Do Rooks cleansing and follow Mysticalavenger's advice too, but also, here in Britain we have a Spiritualist Association who have people trained in dealing with these things! There will be something similar in Canada! Look on the net then get on the phone and ask for help! The sooner the better! Good Luck!

Greetings, Karen.

I presume, from the details in your narrative, that you are a single parent raising your two girls. These phenomena must put an awful strain upon all of the relationships within your home. You're not going to like what I'll write next, so I apologize in advance if this scares you: IF all of the phenomena surrounding your family have followed you from one location to a second, then to a third, something may be subjecting Maya to spiritual oppression. In other words, spirits have attached themselves to Maya to communicate with the living, to drain her energy, or to possess her. Here's the nasty part: If you were to tell the psychiatric team that you and Maddy have also witnessed some of the phenomena, they'll presume that it's an example of delusional thinking under stress, manipulated by expectation or fear of Maya's descriptions. This is called "folie à deux," one type of shared psychotic disorder, and the doctors may wish to have you hospitalized "for observation." (The only ways out of that situation are unpleasant.) Your claim that "My head tells me this is the right decision, but my heart tells me to keep her close and safe" indicates that you are torn as to your course of action; your posting the details of the events on YGS suggests desperation to have someone either approve of a decision you've already decided is correct, or to have someone else make the difficult choice for you. You indicated that your father was available to help you in the first home; if you are still on good terms (I have no idea what effect the strain of these events has been on your relationships with those outside the family home), I'd recommend having a frank conversation with him about all of the events in each location. You may want to consider printing out a copy of your story from YGS if that's going to help you to remember the details in the right order...

When you stated "She told me that she would never get better in that house because it had 'bad energy,'" I presume "she" refers to your daughter, Maya, not her Mental Health Counselor & Psychiatrist. If Maya is able to recognize the nature of the energy in the home and to categorize it, there's a likelihood that she has a particularly strong ability. I have read a great many theories about the potential sources for psychic ability and mediumship, but there's not a single, clearly-identifiable "right" answer explaining how to quantify an apparently supernatural ability versus a clinically-diagnosed disorder. Either Maya is delusional and drawing other people into her peculiar ideations, or she has a psychic ability acting like a lighthouse to attract attention. Only you have experienced these events with your daughter; only you can decide to commit her to the inpatient program or to take her off of the medication. You are, from what I can determine, either trying to talk yourself into/out of a decision, or you've made up your mind and you're seeking reassurance that you're making the best choice possible for your children. I do not envy you this task, the self-doubt that it brings, and the stress of coping with your own reactions to supernatural events. How well are her meds working on her 'hallucinations' or 'visions'? Is there a specific reason that Maya is refusing the opportunity to move away from the terrors she sees and hears in your home? You stated that she doesn't want to go; tell her that you want her to be as clear & detailed as possible in explaining to you her desire to remain with the phenomena and the stress.

It's past 4 am, now; I fear I'm going to start repeating myself, so I'll stop typing and I'll ask you to respond with any pertinent details you may have overlooked in your narrative.

Best,
Biblio.

Bonshaw: In the interest of giving good, solid advice I suggest that you get a second opinion. No one wants to believe their child is ill. I'm not suggesting that she's not really having these experiences but logic should prevail when it comes to our children.

If, after all physiological and psychological possibilities have been ruled out, she continues having these experiences then and only then can we say it's paranormal.

Please, for the sake of your child's well being, try another doctor. I know I would feel horrible if I advised you against the doctors and something happened to your daughter.

Still, the cleansing method sds suggested may help her to feel more comfortable in her environment until the root of the problem (if it is indeed a medical problem) and a solution for it is found.

Do not institute! For any reason! Karen. Maya has a special gift. If bipolar, that doesn't constitute hallucinations! Get a trusted pro psychic not psychologist to teach her to funnel this gift. The difference is remarkable... Teaching her that she really can learn to embrace her powers instead of negating them! She has always been gifted and must be treated as special... Not special by the stigmata attached with the negative psychological under confidence. Their is a spiritual war being waged on earth! Let her learn to shine her light on these dark forces and you will empower her for life! If not, you may disable her by convincing her she has no power against these dark entities! Karen: it seems to me that Maya has psychic abilities.

There is a book that might help you and her to understand what she is going through: "Second Sight" by Judith Orloff.

Wishing you the best.

Hello Bonshaw75, I am sorry to hear about the experiences your daughters are having. I think what you should do is to maintain a journal of events. "Sleep Paralysis" is not paranormal. But it will be accentuated due to our mind constantly thinking about paranormal.

I want to ask you one thing. You said that you moved into a farm house in 2009. Did you buy anything before going into the house, anything new, furniture or something else, which you are holding it until now. Because if something has got itself attached to an entity, if it is in the house or in Maya's room, well it would be manifesting.

But, whatever you said or narrated had some effects on your daughter Maya and I don't think what you said did harm her. So far so good. But, why don't you do cleansing of the house. Rookdygin, one of the experienced posters in this site, has devised a cleansing method. I have advised it to many people on and off this site. It has to be done continuously for a few days to have desired results and you can continue doing so. If there is or are any negative energy/ies, it will definitely be warded off. Try it out.

I feel that your daughter is scared. Ask her to be bold. She might have some anxiety problems but still you give her confidence that she has to be courageous. That is what is required. Try to involve her in the cleansing and say that it will definitely drive off those negative energies or shadow people. Give her your support. But continue with her medicines. Institutionalising her, well, that is totally difficult to advise you by reading your narrative. It involves many issues including checking the medical reports, her present condition etc. But as far as I know, psychologically, she requires your support, courage and encouragement. Ask her to be bold. Ask her to continuously recite that these things cannot touch her or harm her and do the cleansing. Ask your daughter to do the protecting cleansing based on the method given below for herself. You can do it for yourself and also to the house.

Sorry that I have been lengthy in my comments. You can visit Rook's profile page and know about cleansing. But for your sake, I am pasting it below. It will work and give your credits to Rook.

Recipe for a Home Cleansing/Shielding... (allow for two or 3 days to complete)

Day one: Open all curtains window and doors with screens installed, let fresh air and sunshine into the home. Have all closets, cabinets and other 'dark spaces' open so that as much natural light as possible can enter those spaces. After 2-3 hours take a broom and 'sweep' out each room (this is symbolic and you do not have to really sweep) focus your thoughts on sweeping (pushing) out all negative energies / entities /thoughts. Close home up after completing each room of your home... Please do not forget your garage if you have one. (Optional) Light incense (sandalwood or Dragons-blood works well for me) and let aroma fill the home, and/or play a tape that contains your favorite Church/Positive, Upbeat (songs that give you good thoughts) songs before you begin sweeping.

Day two (or three): Once again open all curtains, windows and doors. Take a White candle (Optional) to the center most point of the home, sit on the floor and place candle in front of you. Light the candle (visualize a white ball of light) and then focus on the flame... Visualize the flame (white light) filled with positive thoughts, energy. (Say a prayer at this time if you so desire... Ask for cleansing positive energy to fill the candles flame/white light). Hold this 'image' in your mind and then visualize the flame (light) slowly expanding outward, visualize it filling the room your in, every corner and 'dark space'. Continue to visualize it expanding...it's outer edges pushing away (burning away) any and all negative energies/entities out and away from each room in your home. Once you have visualized this flame (light) filling your entire home, picture it expanding to your property lines. Hold this image in your mind for a few moments then visualize 'anchoring' this flame (light) where you are sitting which is the center most point of your home. Once you have done this. Take a deep breath, relax a few moments and then blow out the candle. (If you didn't use a candle just let yourself relax a moment or two.) "

Now you can create a shield for yourself using the 'home shield' technique but instead of focusing on your home visualize the 'flame' simply surrounding you instead of your home... Best time to do this is after a nice shower using a rosemary scented soap (rosemary is good for purification and protection.)

Karen, I'm so sorry to hear about the problems that your family is having. I'm new to this site, but from what I've been reading here, I'm confident you will get some useful advice. This must be extremely hard for you.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, how is Maddy doing? Is she having experiences now?

While I don't know anything about mediums, or the type of skills it takes to sense these beings that Maya sees, my instincts tell me that it would be great if she could meet with someone like that who may have the understanding to help her with her gifts.

Good luck and I hope that you will get the help you need soon!
